Hello to all. Too long overdue the review of the Orient Neptune! Triton! A fantastic diver that is truly nicer than I actually expected. The power reserve once was Orient's signature identity until Epson Seiko eliminated it. (Thank you Seiko) lol
Hope you guys and gals are doing well! Subscribe if you're new. Like and share.
I'll see you guys in the comments!
My best,
DiveWatcher

Great vid, I’d forgotten about that model. Probably one of these best models from Orient.

I have one of these. I loved it. Got a bezel upgrade from long island watch, got a strapcode bracelet., I was in heven. THEN THE STEM BROKE! Google revealled that this happens very frequently. Now I am very sad. Beware!!!!

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that! Dang brother. Are you going to have it repaired? How did you like the sapphire bezel upgrade? How did it end up looking and did it really enhance the look? I wss very close to ordering the sapphire bezel myself. I immediately ordered the strap code bracelet when I ordered the Neptune. Definitely had to have the upgraded bracelet. Was just on the fence about the sapphire bezel. Did you do your own replacement with the insert? Man I am sorry to hear that about your crown!

It is for sure, the best model from Orient in century! 1. Caliber from 2000$ OSD! Mine holds - 4 spd, on the wist, but gain back, + 5sec., during night time, when lay down, face up. 2. Chock resistanse, like M-Force family, it has 3 inner rubber rings, which support the movement. So, it floating, inside the case. 3.Best lume, just sipmle the best! 4. Price! I,ve got mine blue Triton for 430$. But.... this watch easily can beat any diver, from 600- 1000$!

Very nice and detail knowledge! I respect that and I like it. I learn every day and you taught me just now. I didn't know it had three rubber gaskets. So you are saying the movement in the Neptune differs a bit from the same movement that was in the 300m Saturation diver? I had totally understood that they had the same exact movements. That's good stuff brother. When did you buy your Neptune? Getting it for $430 tells me you either bought it new and before seiko Epson made Orient discontinue it or you bought yours possibly maybe slightly used? The reason I ask is because what I paid for mine. I waited too long before I finally caved in and knew either I buy one now or I need to forget about it but I wanted one too bad. I watched the prices new steadily rise every 6 months for two years straight and I ended up finding mine brand new and I bought the last Neptune that had a amazon prime price which was still expensive. $700. It hurts to know how much I paid knowing they at one time were $400 or just under brand new. There are still a few blue and black brand new on amazon but none are amazon prime and they all or priced well over $800 dollars. I knew I wanted one brand new in box so as much as it hurt me I ended up paying $700 but I love it! The original stock bracelet that came on it I never removed any of the plastic or hang tags because I had ordered the super oyster strap code screw link milled clasp Neptune bracelet for mine that I immediately installed. In fact when my Neptune arrived, my upgraded bracelet hadn't made it yet. So I removed the stock bracelet leaving it wrapped in the plastic and I wore it on an orange Zulu/Nato until my bracelet arrived. I wear mine but in a weird rotation which is rather seldom because my two high end seiko divers get most of the wrist time but I still love it and I plan to keep it long term because it was the very last model from Orient of old that came from the Saturation 300m Diver years and all the cool m force and back when Orient had their signature power reserve function on 95 percent of their well made watches. I knew if I didn't get it when I did that I likely would have never been able to. I'm curious to hear back about the movement being a little different than the Saturation Diver movement. I totally thought both had the same identical movement. Oh and I'm likely going to order the blue Sapphire bezel insert for mine!

Bought the gold one NOS for $170 USD. It's built like a tank.

Wow that is an incredible deal! I'm talking extremely good! I found mine brand bew stickers still on it and I had been debating about buying the Neptune because I owned the 300m Saturatuon diver three separate occasions and regret selling the last one I had. I knew how well built the Saturation Diver was and so I was pretty certain this Neptune would have a similar build quality. I just waited too long and the price kept steadily rising every 6 months. Anyways I finally caved and amazon had the blue and black dials but only one left amazon prime that had a $700 dollar price. The others were priced at over $800 and they still are. I bought the last amazon prime Neptune that was priced at the lowest I was able to find one brand new. I did see a couple of the two tone like you got such a good deal on that were selling less than the blue and black and the blue I bought which was $700. It pains me to know that the Neptune was priced at around $400 or maybe a little lower back before they discontinued it. I waited too long to pull the trigger but I finally told myself that it's either now or just totally forget it. I wanted it and I knew it would be a long term keeper in my collection and because it also was the very last Orient of old model before Seiko Epson basically took their brand identity away which was the power reserve function and basically took them down to not allow them to cut into any seiko sales. It's why the Saturation Diver was retired as well. Seiko Epson wasn't going to compete with themselves and I understand that's basic logic 101 but they totally took orient way down and made their new brand identity the Mako Diver. That's a long cry from the Orient I used to buy and was a huge fan of. So the Neptune was the last of the Orient of old DNA which just like you have in your two tone. It's built like a solid tank and it has awesome wrist presence. I'm actually thinking about ordering the Sapphire bezel insert for mine. I ordered the upgraded strap code bracelet that has screw links and a milled clasp for mine and I actually never even removed any of the plastic off the stock bracelet. I am going to leave it to remain brand new and since I wear my Neptune more seldom because of my two high end Seiko divers, my Neptune will stay in brand new condition so if I ever do decide one day to sell it then I will be able to do so as like new in box. I don't plan to but one thing I have learned collecting watches over the past 23 years is that no matter how much you love a watch and tell yourself it's a keeper and I'm never selling it, in my experience that's never held up. I have always ended up finding something that I must have and next thing I know I'm selling the watch I promised myself that I would never sell. Lol. I've gotten better on that with old age but I'm not fully cured. You never know in life and as such you never know what deal or watch all the sudden present and you have to get it. Part of the hobby of collecting. Thanks for commenting. Man you got an incredible deal. Enjoy that piece with pleasure brother! Keep in touch!
