Excellent pick ups Mike. Beautiful wedding photo, I love the way you were both dressed 😂 that album sounds a bit Crampsish? A few Suzi’s I hadn’t heard of, but Can the Can fantastic, seeing her on ToTP’s used to bring a smile to a young man’s face 😁 Interesting K➗93, I’m a big fan of KJ so this sounds really good. Alvin’s on the brilliant Stiff, it had to be picked up for sure. Mike
congrats on completing your Rezillos/Revillos collection. I bought the Revillos box set & Rezillos 2CD a couple of weeks ago. Bust out laughing when i saw the dickies - banana split single, i was mad on them back then and you are correct, their version of eve of destruction is fantastic. EVERYTHING they released seemed to be on colured vinyl back then.
Kick Over The Statues & Taste Of Cindy both huge tunes for me growing up! Those Sounds eps were great, they were my introduction to Sonic Youth with ‘Silver Rocket’ Can The Can is up ther with ‘Rock N Roll part 2k’ as one of the greatest 70’s singles.
Last year I was able to find the first two Rezollo albums. They have been on every punk compilation so I was happy to snag them. Cool looking Fuzztone cover, I really like that group.
I have that Suede flexi and the Sounds EP. There were several series of those and I have them all. Hit the charity shop five minutes from the house on Saturday. Got Richard Lloyd from Television's 'Field Of Fire' lp and a double lp Collection of Jimmie Rodgers,The Singing Brakeman for a quid each. Also got CDs...Bloc Party 'A Weekend In The City', Inspiral Carpets 'Devil Hopping',Travis 'Everything At Once'...50p each. Still have my original 'Can't Stand The Rezillos' lp with the insert...saw them in Aberdeen in 1978 supported by The Scars. Always liked Alvin Stardust. I think you mentioned David Essex in an earlier video...have a few of his '70's lps...he was ace back then...I didn't give a hoot that he wasn't considered 'cool'...I thought he was. Looking forward to the next video.
