You can get small modules that have FM, Bluetooth, micro SD & USB playback, these cost around £5 on ebay, and even come with remote control! I have fitted these to a few AM only sets, the results are excellent & make the radio very useable. AM is certainly on the way out, I only get four UK stations on MW during the day, only one music station (Greatest hits radio) left ☹

I wonder if the government would eventually allow us to use a low power AM transmitter that could only transmit say a couple of feet ?
