Gomberg Seltzer Works is the last seltzer company in New York City. It's been around since 1953, fills up 3,000 bottles and has seltzer deliverymen attend to their customers in the New York area. There are eight seltzer men at Gomberg, who are all pretty entering old age. This is a story about the remaining few dedicated to the craft of old fashion seltzer.

@@realtissaye2016-1950 = 66. Basic math, not hard. The difference between being in your 60s and your 50s is pretty big. He looks great for that age considering that most 60 year olds have abundant gray hair and are quite wrinkly. Plus, at the age of 65+ you are considered elderly, so I’d say he’s doing incredible. A decade is not something you can just “give or take” at that age pal

I grew up in this business in the Bronx my grand father was a soda/seltzer man I worked from the 80’s into the 2000’s

I remember getting soda delivered to my apartment as a child in the 80's in Inwood,I would look out the window and you would see the truck with stacks and stacks of bottles in the back.

Michael King NYC has some of the highest quality tap water in the country. the water from those aquifers upstate is pretty damn pure. obviously you don’t live here
