I don't know if they can try to go for Supporting with only one episode but if they don't (or can't) then sadly the only major award either can win will be the Emmy for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series since the Golden Globes, SAG, and Critic's Choice don't give out awards for Guest Acting (in any category). :( A tie would be fitting but that's highly unlikely. Murray has his from The White Lotus so I hope Nick wins if the Academy has to pick.
@Bacbi
@Bacbi Год назад
@@ssilva872 I've never heard about the Emmy's having a cateogry for the best guest star. I could be wrong but I don't think episode count has anything to do with it. That would be like saying the best supporting oscar nomination needed a set amount of minutes in a movie, and you've had people like Hopkins and Ledger who won Oscars for best supporting even though they are only in 16- and 28-minutes of their respective movies. Again I could be wrong but I think you are mixing up how tv credits work vs how awards work. Since when it comes to tv credits you do have titles like regular, recurring, and guest stars.

Considering how many people are suffering and dying in horrible ways in a world full of Infected and Hunters, Bill and Frank are fortunate to be able to leave the world peacefully together. Compared to the original game, Bill and Frank got a much more fulfilling and hopeful ending to their story arc.

Such a beautiful episode, It's completly different from the game yet it was just as if not more amazing, they managed to tell a gorgeos love story in constrast to the harsh reality the world is in, and at the same time have Bill serve the same role he had in game which was to teach Joel the lesson to not close himself off, and have people to care for, and here is was through being inspired by a loving man. Was it at the sacrifice of some iconic scenes from the game? Sure, we had no Bill and Ellie interactions, but we got to explore Frank's whole entire character, and got SO many more scenes because of that, and to top it all off, one of the best representations of a loving gay relationship in media, in my opinion.

I 100 percent agree, i was worried that they would stray too far off from what the original game was going to be. But yet I they did take a completely different turn and im completely fine of what they did. And I genuinely cried at this version of the story

You see this is what is good about this show adaption. When they throw a random gay relationship in a show that is completely out of character just to push an agenda or whatever is what ruined a bunch of shows for me BUT we already knew Bill had a relationship with frank and they just expanded on it which is what some of us wanted in the game. A+ from me

The most touchable part when they live together doing the same things as a husband and wife do, And the most Traumatizing part when they getting older and starting to weak their bodies and going back to the place when billy found frank, Frank proposed to billy, And having the last meal together and put some powder to franks wine, going to bed and die together hits me and traumatized deeply! I think I'm starting to notice a little theme with the characters Joel and Ellie encounter in their journey. Each duo is a reflection of either both Joel and Ellie or their relationship with another person. Bill and Frank we're clearly the reflection of Joel and Tess. While Joel and Tess never really seemed to make their relationship official Frank and Bill get married. In a way it sort of shows Joel what he could have had with Tess

This episode was perfect. We know Bill and Frank were partners already in the game. And Frank betraying Bill in the game made sense because the story was centered on Ellie and Joel and it had to add the element of action and twists. In game Bill was supposed to show us what Joel could've become if he closed himself off and it worked to show contrast. In the show, we see the relationship Bill and Frank have. And yes, the show also centers on Joel and Ellie, but it's main theme is love. In this adaptation, Frank had no reason to betray Bill because Bill opened up, as is expressed in the episode and on the letter. In show Bill is an example of what Joel should be to Ellie (although it was originally meant to be for Tess). It works here because the show is basically a narrative of others people's lives and how they reflect Joel's ultimate decision. We can take a break from the action and develop the characters in a new way. This show is turning out to be a masterpiece in itself, where even if you didn't play the game, you still sympathize for the characters and understand their choices.
