I'm sure a lot of people would think the behind the scenes of how these games are made is boring but as someone who is studying animation in college, I find it fascinating
Then stop complaining, let others pay for it. I'm sorry you feel it's too expensive. Go do something else. We don't care if you don't want to pay for it or can't afford it we don't give an f.. we will play it for you
Being someone who loves gaming but is slowly going blind due to medical reasons, seeing developers put love and care into accessibility features almost brings me to tears and makes me feel hope for the future of gaming.
I definitely understand what you're saying. I have a visus of 40% with glasses, but doctors couldn't make a diagnosis because they have no idea what it could be. These accesiblity features are most welcome indeed.
So they didn’t bother expanding the areas? Adding more enemies? Dogs? More weapons? I love this game to the core but for $70 dollars just making it pretty and run a little better doesn’t seem enough
It’s interesting they didn’t include the gameplay elements within combat as they had in TLOU Part II, I feel like that would’ve been a worthy inclusion and heightened the gameplay aspect of this remake. Edit - I understand implementing these things could drastically change the technical aspect of the game itself, I am reiterating that these features perhaps could have made this game more engaging and exciting as we have all likely played through this game countless times, it would be a fresh take - so to speak. What do you all think about this?
@@gustavo.4258 since they are using the original motion capture, its no brainer, that they dont have those animation captured so, they cant use those mechanics.
As interesting as this all looks, I stand by the claim that Uncharted Drake’s Fortune would benefit most from a ground-up remake like this. I know people who quit early in that game due to dated 2007 action-platformer controls. Perhaps we could see that in the future if this does well 🤔
I'm one of them. Got a PS3 at the end of it's life cycle and wanted so badly to play uncharted since I've heard so many great things about it but the experience was rough
Drakes fortune was a great game but I agree with the complaint about the outdated controls. Just imagine uncharted 1 with the graphics and gameplay of 4 it would be amazing.
A game released originally on the PS3, remastered and enhanced on PS4 with multiplayer still alive, and it is natively compatible on the PS5. Visual upgrades, speedrun, permadeath, photomode features, real-time rendered cutscenes instead of pre-rendered from PS3 and no multiplayer doesn't make it up for $70 price.
@@lotus2001 youre probs one of those people that buy fifa every single year and telling others its totally worth the price tag and has many new improvements each year
@@lotus2001 you have a very lazy response. Maybe be open to more legit criticism than dismissing it like some radical fan that supports anything and everything from a company you like.
@@corrputgamer Problem is, there already IS a remaster out already and that one still looks incredible (and honestly better because of the art direction). Everything that comes with this game does not justify the price tag in my view
One of the most annoying things in the original was the fact that enemies didn't react to buddies and buddies would always take cover weirdly. It will be nice to see this highly improved bc it would always take me out of the experience.
Free for previous owners? Lol Ya’ll crazy if you believe they’d remake this and make it free I would agree the price should be less tho At least a $10 upgrade if you own the original Where as the original price $40.
@@joeyl3130 Definitely not paying €80 for game I purchased twice before. Would pay €10 though, seems more reasonable, but... highly doubt this will happen.
graphically It looks amazing and the accessibility features are an outstanding addition, for people that haven't played it is a must have, for the rest that price tag and the lack of part 2 gameplay mechanics might not be worth it. Honestly I would have preferred a remake of uncharted 1, which is the one that looks outdated.
Yeah, the jump from uncharted to uncharted 2 was crazy. It's kinda like the jump for mass effect to mass effect 2. Uncharted would be a great candidate for a remake like this
Real talk, this is my favorite game of all time. Countless memories and just love all around it. Absolutely not paying 70 dollars for updated graphics. Just not gonna happen
That's ok, you shouldn't feel obligated to buy something. As much as I love the game and it's one of the best out there, it's not worth a full price. If only it was like 20 or 30 that would change things. I will also apologize in advance for any idiots that will reply to you by saying not to buy it, call you out or comment stupid stuff to you. Unfortunately it will not be long. No one blames you, it's those jerks out there who want to force you to see things their way. Anyway, thanks for reading this and have a nice day.
On PC we'll see a sale in mere weeks then phat discounts in no time on console not a clue but y'all get a rare ND sale I think lol Given away on that thing y'all shouldn't be paying for? I'll see that in like a year and some change from my ruff guess
I would have actually considered paying full price for this if they implemented the new gameplay and stealth mechanics from part 2 into the remake of part 1
I really want to play this, the improvements look absolutely incredible. But as a Canadian, $90 +tax ($100) is pretty tremendous for me. I've bought the game twice on PS3 and PS4, and played it countless times already. But to do it again at an even higher price is a pretty big pill to swallow... Usually I'd buy a game I want day one, but I might wait a bit this time... Something tells me the price won't stay this high for too long.
This looks amazing, but when you advertise the remake having the same level of gameplay as Part II, I think people expected to see similar crawling, jumping, or dodging/counter mechanics instead of haptic feedback. Hoping the next trailers clear this up.
I will patiently and eagerly wait for this to go on sale. It looks really great but I simply can’t justify spending $100 (Canadian) on a game that I have played multiple times
@@M4TTYN Not at all. I dont think you've ever played on PC where if you want better graphics, you click a bunch of sliders or download graphics overhaul mods for free, not pay $70 for someone to do it for you.
Cant wait to play this, at a heavily discounted price. No shade to the work they've done. I really am excited to play this but the price point is too high for something I've bought twice already.
I will buy it when it’s around 20€! It’s a masterpiece and the new haptics and graphics are awesome. If I hadn’t played it before I would probably pay the full price for a TLOU game on PS5 and play it on release! I hope there is a Part III! That’s gonna be F’ing fantastic with graphics and physics!
I would love a remake of Uncharted 1 and 2. We may see the day. If ND isn't listening to all the hate that is. But they have a history of not doing that
Absolutely adore this game. Completed it on ps3 and the remastered on ps4 countless times....But that price tag for the remastered remaster on PS5... WOW!
@@henriquealves5740 its essentially the same game no real changes are made so it is somewhere between a remake and remaster no matter what they call it. and this remake costs them a tiny fraction of what it costs to make a AAA game from scratch so yes it is huge ripoff asking 70 and 100 bucks for the two versions.
@@robertsharp6072 it’s rebuilt from the ground up. You can’t just go back into the remaster and add new AIs and new gameplay elements. It has to be rebuilt to withstand all the changes going on and even the visuals are being very upgraded. But none of you complained about the demons souls remake. It’s basically the same game but prettier.
Great game no doubt about it... but still i don't feel like i need to finish it on a third console. They should have put their time into something else. Just my opinion.
As a disabled gamer, it warms my heart when I hear developers talk about Accessibility features. For me the location navigation feature in TLOU 2 was a real game changer for me, I truly wish every game had something like that
Did you use the feature where you can go prone and pretty much not get caught at all, while crawling around them? I believe it is called game journalist mode if I'm not mistaken. 😵
@@thewanderer4336 They literally said they were disabled, and that these accessibility features helped them play the game, and yet you still had to make a stupid “game journos bad haha” joke. Grow up
i still dont know what benefit these features have for people with disabilities... the narration who is that for? what kind of disability? and the contrast mode, who is that for? what disability?
I really want to play this again, more than any other game I have played multiple times. The problem is the PS4 Remastered version is 20$ and is great. Is this experience REALLY worth $50 more for improvements? Hard to justify.
@@GameHunterDeathhunter mp isn’t coming for a LONG time, all we’ve gotten about it is concept art and we probably won’t see anything more till next year
I’ve got a few friends who haven’t played it before but since this remake is coming to PC and they’re down to try it that makes me excited to see what they’re thoughts are on it , since I’m happy with my remastered copy on PS4 I’ll get this remake on PC (when it’s on sale obviously)
Price of games has not budged in 30 years while inflation is the highest it’s been. Meanwhile game development costs have increased significantly. You entitled people are the reason in 10 years all we’ll have is free to play trash.
I would 100% buy this if the multiplayer was added back at some point. I cannot financially justify 90$ CAD for a game i have bought twice already. please add back the multiplayer at some point down the line! there is still a community!
They are doing a stand-alone tlou multiplayer game which will be a lot bigger. A remake of the original factions would become obsolete pretty quick otherwise.
@@harrym2945 I would like to have a factions remake to keep the community alive, and to tide us over until the escape from tarkov style game. They could outsource it to the same studio again if they gave it like a year or 2.
Yeah I agree, multiplayer would be something that would give you enough enjoyment to justify the price but as it is you would just be paying extra for some fancy graphics and some extra accessibility options. For those who haven’t played the game yet this is great but for those who have it’s just kinda meh.
I understand that line of thinking but It isn’t a reskin, they totally rebuilt the game from the ground up. They had to hire actors, environmental artists, and all of the normal staff you’d find on any triple A game. The only thing that they didn’t have to pay for is writers and redubbing the lines from the game. So I’m sure the process for making this game was just as long, expensive, and time consuming than any other brand new game
@@anessamer yes they didn’t have to write and record lines but they re did every single part from the ground up so it was basically like creating a new game
Adding bigger combat/stealth areas would mean redesigning huge sections of the game which I think would take away from it but that being said I do think long grass and going prone would've added to the experience.
@@JDisclmd It really wasn't. It was for people who didn't have the game on PS4. Since you couldn't play PS3 games on PS4, many people who didn't have the chance to buy TLOU on PS3 wouldn't have the chance to play on their PS4. Also, it included the multiplayer and Left Behind DLC and it was priced at $50.
@@htsunmiku Do you mean the graphics aren't bad? Cause of course the art direction isn't bad in TLoU, it's incredible. That's not something that's dependent on technology.
To me this showcase feels more like a price justification rather than simply showing how great the game is. I’ll be buying once the price lowers. Like most people I’ve played on ps3 and ps4 so there is no rush
I am 100% behind these improvements and enhancements made to one of the best games PlayStation has published. I am also 100% against the £70 price tag as they're trying to sell the same game for us the 3rd time in 10 years. £40 as a brand new game or £10 to upgrade your existing copy should be a fair asking price. Greed on display.
I wouldn't say they should do a 10$ upgrade from the Remaster, because this is a true remake, so it's not like a normal enhanced remaster, but I'd say it should be cheaper.
I would agree with you if I didn't know how much work it takes to do something like this. This is the cost of the product being made because that's the amount of work that goes into it.
I don’t think it’s greed. The problem is people seem to not understand what this is and how much work it takes which is a shame. This isn’t even close to the original -> remaster. This is remaking the game from the ground up with the PS5’s capabilities as its soul focus. This isn’t slightly better textures and 60fps.
@@minichris4405 I mean, that's kinda how I'd put it. A lot of the graphics have this effect where they're slightly highlighted in the manner of cell-shading. Ellie's eyes are also much larger in the original to convey her iccocence, whereas here they're more normally sized to reflect realism.
@@oz7586 You don't have to buy Biomutant for origin full price. It does not make it any less of a bad deal. Pointing out bad consumer practice is how industry improves. That is why reviews exist.
Look at them trying justify the price over accessibility features lol. The fact they’re charging same price as a brand new AAA game but didn’t even add a single new kill animation shows how much they hate their fans. Not even a single new combat animation either. Same exact game with new visual and couple new workbench animations. Wow
Definitely will get this once on sale. If it had included the new game mechanics which were in part II, I would’ve paid full price on release. Having played this game multiple times, I don’t need to rush only for a 4K new look.
I played it on release date on PS3, best experience I had. Havent touched it since because I didnt want to tarnish my original experience , I will love replaying this again PS5, totally worth it.
I think they did? The dodge mechanic was easily the best new addition to the combat for me. It's weird not to at least mention that or at the very least the silencer. I also would like to see the verticality the part 2's level design brought with it utilized more in part 1.
this, it's price tag means it's perfect only for folks who has never bought the PS4 games, AND who does not have a PS+ subscription because they could just go ahead and grab PS4 remaster from the Collection. edit: corrected "PS5" into "PS4" on my sentences
This remaster/remake looks beautiful, I’ll give them that, but not for $70. You could honestly play the (original) remastered version for ps4 on a ps5 at 4k 60. It has its own charm and looks amazing. Save this for a super reduced sale.
👆 I stopped buying games on release day many years ago. Within a year of their release you'll be able to get most of them for half the price or even less.
70 80 100 I don't care but everyone complaining about the price makes me wonder what kind of job do you have and another thing if you can't afford it don't buy it .
@@bo_thebot3259 Get your eyes checked bro. Like I understand people not wanting to pay full price for it but if you do not see any differences you actually need to get your eyes checked up on because it looks drastically better
I think I’m more just confused as to why this wasn’t saved for the 10th anniversary next year. Usually these big graphical overhaul games are saved for an anniversary edition. Just seems strange to release it this year.
@@andywillers87 yeah, the TV Adaptation is a whole other can of worms, for a series that gets accused of simply being an interactive movie a lot you'd think they wouldn't need to make it a show. But yeah, I dunno. over here in Australia the asking price for this game is 130 bucks, so I've just decided that if I do pick it up, I'm definitely waiting either for a price drop or for outbreak day next year, I'm not putting 10% of my paycheque on a game I already own.
As much as I appreciate everything they are doing with this game I just don’t think I can pay 70$ for this…this is my favourite game of all time but I’m still torn. I really want it and I think every improvement they’ve made is awesome. But I’m gonna have to wait for Black Friday…because for a game that’s essentially not new I don’t think 70$ is appropriate.
Agreed. Honestly for 70$ it should be even more advanced than tlos2 when it comes to combat and traversal. From what this trailer showed it does not even have dodge, prone, and updated environment design to utilize those mechanics.
Сколько б они не пиздели о нововедениях я вижу в этих словах только одно: «Мы хотим выкачать с вас деньги, как можно больше, как можно проще и быстрее»
@@FoxEngineOwO yes I did. The work benches are cool and the accessibility options are awesome. Where's the dodge and prone mechanics from Part 2? It's a visual upgrade with real time cutscenes. It's missing factions and costs $10 more than the last two times they released it
