Also I find it funny that in most guns, the "improve fire rate" upgrade is just them greasing the gun, doubled with Ellie's(Joel's[sniff]) revolver where the "improve stability" upgrade is Ellie greasing the gun some more.
Ahhhnon 42069 you're wrong again. Polymer stocks are not lighter than wooden stocks, and I already mentioned them being stronger. The reason why you probably think wood is heavier is due to the guns that had wooden stocks like the m1 garand and that thing being heavy. Replace that wood with polymer and it would weigh more
@@thezackster7069 No. Ellie and Abby both pick up the ejected bullet. For example both pistols for Ellie and Abby have 10 bullets with extended magazine. When you exit crafting station it's gonna have 9 bullets in magazine but that one bullet that they "forgot" just goes to inventory. It's just like people are blind or something or purposely don't mention it because that just adds another negative point for haters
How the flip can you make an AK-47 completely refreshed with a stronger grip that has a fire mode installed into it as well as a scope and extended magazine implemented on the gun in less that five minutes?
Nobody gonna talk about that rigged up fire selector and how it basically is pointless if you were to oh I dunno actually drill the 3 pin which can literally make almost any Kalashnikov pattern rifle full auto and how they just completely remove the dust cover

I also wrote this comment in the comment section, but here are all the inaccuracies I noticed: 1:56 That model resembles a Smith and Wesson Sigma, which is striker fired, therefore there is no hammer to be replaced. Also, an anecdote from @Your Internet Buddy, thanks for pointing this out: "Striker spring whatever. Regardless changing the weights on a striker spring, or a hammer spring will not change the fire rate - that's not how guns work. You would need to decrease slide mass and tune the recoil spring and guide rod to effectively modify mechanical fire rates and then tune the trigger to account for the human element. Really, fire rate comes down to how fast the gun can cycle the action back and forth, which is dictated entirely by the inherent physics of the components working together, along with how fast you can reset and squeeze the trigger. Increasing striker/hammer spring weight decreases lock time (time it takes for the operating parts to ignite the primer after you pull the trigger), which can aid in accuracy and reliability in adverse conditions, hitting hard primers, etc., but will typically not influence fire rate. This comes down to the fact that the time it takes for the action to cycle in any firearm invented is much higher than the time it takes for the hammer to fall (about 2 to 10ms depending whether it is a manually operated or self-loading firearm)." 2:10 why the hell did Abby rack the slide _and then_ insert the magazine? That's the wrong order, the round did not get inserted into the chamber. 4:17 extending barrel length would likely not increase damage. It would however, increase accuracy and effective range due to more rifling. The power of a weapon per shot is determined primarily by the caliber of the round. Also, how tf did she increase barrel length without welding some metal to it? 6:23 replacing the string to enable a faster draw would simply reduce draw weight, ergo the bow can now output less energy to propel the arrow meaning less arrow penetration. More of a trade off than an upgrade. 12:53 replacing the trigger isn't enough. You have to replace the cam too. Also, while shes at it why doesn't she just configure it to full auto?
@@nerd4181 not being able to make something doesnt mean you cant criticize stuff bro. its like saying "you cant hate this movie because you cant make a better one"
Objectively it's a well made game. If it were a stand alone title it wouldn't be hated. But because it's the last of us peoples sky high expectations means it's seen as the worst game ever by many. Honestly I knew before the leaks even happened people wouldn't be satisfied. Because I honestly can't think of any real way they could of followed up the first game that wouldn't seem crappy in comparison. Some franchises should only have one entry because you can never really met or surpass the original.
@@dylanhaugen3739 It's not about sky high expectations, it's about poor writing. If sky high expectations were the reason for TLOF2's failure, then explain RDR2's success with sky high expectations (even more so since the leaks for rdr2 weren't really negative and actually just built even more hype). If TLOF2 was a brand new stand alone game and the first one never came out, it'd still be shitted on because it would have killed off Joel too soon for us to get attached, makes us play as a chick who killed someone's dad on fathers day weekend for wayyyy too long, involves very weird, inappropriate, and questionable sex scenes, questionable politics behind many moments and characters, and Ellie randomly decides to not complete her mission of revenge. She kills everyone involved with Joel's death but when it comes to actually killing the person who did it, she just stops, EVEN after getting her fingers bitten off by Abby (thus disabling her from playing the guitar). And that's with assuming this game came out and we've never seen this universe and these characters before. HOWEVER, since we do know these characters, not only does everything I listed still apply, but anyone who has played the original game would know that they changed characters and literally disregarded previous writing to drive the plot. Specifically Joel, Joel would never get himself in a situation like that (following armed strangers into a house, then into a random basement room, and then saying his name). One of Joel's main features is that he's a very cautious person who's trust is very hard to earn (not to mention he has spent decades in a crazy apocalypse world). To sum it all up, no, it isn't high expectations that failed this game, it's poor writing.
@@dylanhaugen3739 I feel like starting off with Abby killing Joel was not the way to go. If the writers changed even just the order of everything shown, I think the game would've been received slightly better.
@@prefix253 you clearly havent played the first one joel trusted henry, and on the second game he trusted abby because there was no choice either he could go with her or stay to die by the infected and he saves her life before so even if she was up to no good maybe in joel mind that would make her be okay with him

To be fair, if you ever look at the parts the two characters collect, it isn't just nuts and bolts. In the "scraps" they collect, if you notice, the scrap heaps have extra clip parts, scope parts and other weapon parts.
@@akilkotamarti1000 to an extent scrap (and most crafting materials) are abstract concepts that are really only there for gameplay. The number just signifies the game requirement for the item or upgrade, and the reality of is they’re probably finding loose pieces, broken items, etc. for them to put together themselves to make the item. An example would the scope. Say Ellie finds a scope base that has all broken lenses, and then finds different scopes with lenses that can be taken out and out to making the base she found into a full scope. Now for the sake of brevity and player choice as to what they upgrade that’s just signified in her finding scrap.

guns showed , their real names with some trivia remarks: Ellie pistol: a Beretta 92F or FS. an italian gun, one of the most popular 9mm pistols in the world since the late 1980s , for their raffined looking , high capacity and good precision. the US Army have one variant called the M9. that's interesting how Ellie always have a passion for Beretta's pistols, since when she was younger in TLOU1, she used a model 70, a old pocket variant in 32 ACP , and when she grow up , she use now a larger 9mm Beretta 92 Military (Abby's) pistol: A mix between a Glock and a Caracal, two modern pistol without hammers, derived from a Browning mechanism. certainly fire 9mm. Mag Revolver: a brazilian Taurus 66, which is strange at first view because the locally-made S&W , Ruger and Colt revolvers are more common in the US, but since the Taurus was Joel's revolver, which has been retaken by Ellie, i guess it's for continuity purpose. a longer barrel would increase the firepower, in any case, it would increase the precision at longer ranges. probably fire 38 Special when it has its short barrel , but the revolver ammos became magically 357 Magnum when we equip the longer barrel i guess Hunting pistol: a Thompson Arms Contender. an american-made single-shot pistol made since the sixties, which fire powerful 45/70 Gov. a gun very fiftting for Abby. since we must have wrists of steel to bear the enormous recoil in each shot the wooden bow and crossbow are made for hunting or shooting sport i guess the double-barrel shotgun : is a generic Over/under rifle. DBs shotguns are very common firearms in the world. fire 12 Gauge cartridges. Pump-shotgun: a Remington 870, a very popular american shotgun in the world , made since the fifties. prized for its reliability and versatility. Semi-auto rifle: a carbine variant of the russian Kalashnikov rifle. certainly based about the VEPR. fire probably 7.62mm aka M43 bullets (althought the mag looked like 5.45 variant). strange how a lightweight polymer stock would absorb well the recoils instead of heavy wooden ones, as well as putting a 3 bursts firemode in a civilan-looking rifle Bolt-action rifle: a Remington 700, yes , made by the same society behind the Remmy shotgun. many different variants exists for these rifles, made since the sixties. strange how a mag would increase the ammo capacity. normally five mags would fit without prob into the internal magazine. fire probably 308. Winchester ammo. hope this was interesting to read. unfortunately i never played the game yet.
the flamethrower is homemade. Military flamethrower are very rare but someone told me that they're still used by some army units in the world is that also true that a longer barrel on a revolver increase the firepower?

@Your Internet Buddy Fire rate for semi automatic fire arms tends to be a lot closer linked to recoil and trigger pull length in the real world (fire rate being how fast one can pull the trigger), I think the developers were trying to say the modification lightens the trigger pull to mean the characters can pull the trigger faster, and thus fire it quicker...I think
Gammy Leddack The kinetic energy of the hammer or how fast the hammer collided with the bullet - which in turn builds up more kinetic energy as it’s a much faster hammer with a lot more power in that collision.

Cleaning a semi auto weapon COULD actually increase the firerate. If you clean the trigger group it will remove dirt and give you a crisper, less gritty trigger pull.
Uhhh???? The trigger group doesn't affect the fire rate, rifle or pistol, when gunked with carbon. Quality firearms also usually don't lose fire rate over gunking.
Then that’s just a gun working at its intended rate, you’re not making the gun shoot faster. Cleaning your gun isn’t an improvement, it’s just laziness by the developers

Thank you for this showcase. Showing off the weapon before and after the upgrades is a very welcomed thing. I do like the fact that after removing the rounds from the Revolver, Hunting Pistol, and DB shotgun. Phantom rounds are not ejected. Though a small nick pick would be just having another Before after picture once all upgrades are installed. A small nick but Over all great showcase, and nice vid.
I'm definitely noticing that Abby's upgrades are a lot more complex than Ellie's upgrades. Additionally Abby moves a lot quicker in her upgrades while Ellie likes to take her time. I thought this detail really reinforced how different Abby and Ellie's fighting styles in which Abby is a natural soldier who trains to fight whereas Ellie is a survivor who taught herself how to fight (albeit they're both really strong fighters)
And I can see the different Fighting styles through their weapons. Ellie's is slim, mobile, and stealthy due to her focus on survival. Hence why she has weapons that are aimed towards hunting. While Abby is thick, strong, and aggressive due to her training as a soldier. Hence why she has more powerful weapons than Ellie has. I personally like Abby's weapons more than Ellie's
@@ebindelgado9660 I fucking love her hunting pistol. It’s so satisfying to get a kill with that even if it’s very bloody (usually with the person clutching whatever numb of a limb you blew off)
@Ali Shabbiri she was born into the apocalypse and her mother immediately passed away. Marlene put her in that military school. If Ellie never got bitten, she’d probably just be another soldier.
That how it be really with rifles (especially semi-auto or bolt-action) sometimes. Just slap a long range scope on it and suddenly it's a sniper-grade weapon now.
Thought there would be more guns than the first one...kinda disappointed and you can’t use them ALL at the same time because half of them are specific to Abby or Ellie. Edited:i wasn’t saying players should carry bunch of guns like in GTA, I was suggesting there should be an option for new game+ where you can be accessible to both Abby’s or Ellie’s weapons or equipments when playing as either Abby or Ellie. In this way can the game bring more fun and choices to players from my perspective.
Jables Udidn’t get what I meant. During the first game joel can carry all the weapons he found. But in part 2 u can only carry half of the existing weapons. It feels reasonable but overall it’s just a game, I just want to have more choices when it comes to weaponry
It's called a "Heat shield" when a shotgun has holes pierced into it, it's in order to prevent the user from burning their hand when they go to touch it so I have no idea why that increases the damage XD Also in the clip where the holes are pierced I think it's Abby not Ellie. (Though I seriously wish Abby never even existed).
Pretty sure it’s something to do with decreasing the pressure so the round fired after the first has a weaker push back pressure, and they didn’t want to write a whole algorith to a way the pressure wears down over a short amount of time so they just made it do more damage
deloreandmc85 Funny enough some states like NY & Hawaii have worse gun laws than California. But then again in the apocalypse scenario, almost anything is far game. Also most it’s kinda obvious most game developers haven’t touched a firearm in their lives. But I’ve seen some of the devs from the MoH franchise get firearms lessons from Larry Vickers though.
As for the pistols, even in CA you are allowed to have 10 round magazines. So Ellie and Abby must have been finding New York variants of firearms and magazines and upgrading them to CA capacity.

Actually the bullet isnt thrown away. It goes back into your ammo reserves. So right after your upgraded and a bullet was removed you need to reload cause its empty
Ex fireflies has more military supplies imho. So she equip more advanced armory. But the playstyle kinda forced to rushing guirella evertyhing. Tlou 2 beside has cringey plot, the other teams did the job well
You know there was more to that chapter than just the final boss fight, right? Like this is the equivalent of saying "all of the upgradable weapons before the Part I winter chapter and Ellie just used a knife". Genius comment.
Because Ellie wanted a slightly fair fight where she could win and triumph over Abby. Using her guns wouldn’t make satisfying because Abby is already weaken.
I thought a el Diablo was basically a scoped 44. In multiplayer it had a 6 round cylinder. But in single player it was never over 3. Didn't make any sense.
Abby mechanics are specifically meant to be more like Joel’s: needing Shivs for clickers, flamethrower/diablo (I believe diablo was originally single shot? Been a while I forget), using ladders/ramps to traverse, helping a pair of sibling kids, being physically stronger than Ellie, dealing with a major loss: purposely done to parallel Joel.
What I learned from this video is that adding ports in the guns barrel will increase power. Seriously though, porting the barrel of a gun will usually help with reducing recoil allowing for quicker follow up shots. But porting can also reduce the velocity of whatever projectile your firing causing the gun to get slightly weaker due to the gas that's propelling the projectile forward will bleed off those vents losing pressure.
