Also a noob, I mainly drive the Aston Martin V8 which works good for me. My buddy is also new and he likes the Mercedes. I think you should do like 15-20 laps in whichever car you think will fit you. That’s what I did and got the best times (relative to me) with the Aston. I’ve tried other cars and they just don’t feel the right to me comparatively

@@fredriklejon8921 I only have about 18 hours in the game and most of that is from practice and hot laps. I did a little online racing, too. As long as you don't expect to win anything or even get above last place it's fun

I've got to know. Why in the world are your settings so incredibly low? I have the game running at max settings, at 1440p Ultrawide, and it stays locked at 165hz permanently. I am new to the game, only 18 hours in it so far, but you are the pro.

He’s running triple monitors, possibly triple 4k monitors which is a lot harder to run then a 1440p ultrawide, when being competitive fps matters, not graphics

@@ActuallyDKMbecause resolution makes a much bigger difference then shadows, etc, I would happily take a triple 4k monitor setup with good fps and like medium settings, then triple 1080p on max settings, don’t get me wrong triple 1080p is still good and I’d take anything I could get but if I had the choice I’m choosing 1440p triples or 4k if my pc was better 😂

for a standalone game ACC is certainly worth it - i tried AC for 2 hrs & went back to ACC.. they handle very different, both good games, i never bothered with iracing due to its age & pricing - it is a good sim, so is ACC.. the limited class choice of gt3/gt4 doesnt affect the game for me, the cars, handling, physics & general gameplay is top tier & the driving is enjoyable. The devs have a good channel & discord for tips.

7:12 James instead of pressing f1 a bunch of times, press just 1 once and then f1 once and you'll be back at that camera (nevermind you just need to press 1 because you have the steering wheel camera)

What percentage gain are you using on your rig? It was a pity that they had to red flag both races, any idea of when the remainder of the race will resume? Good racing by all drivers.

@@henrylynch9437 the strength of the FFB (Force Feed Back), in the ACC SIM it's got a gain tab, I have mine set to 17 out of 100. This is due in part of driving single handed, and right foot braking and acceleration; due to my physical disability. However whenever I watch James drive he seems to have the arms of the great He-man himself, so I wondered how much gain he has rig set to?
