Well. I have watched a lot of build over the years. How have I not heard of this company? This has got to be the crown jewel of the road. What an amazing team!
I agree, they exceed Road Treks which (were) IMO the leaders in advanced battery systems by far! AR, as i previously posted, does custom details not found by most RV van designers. I am picky with my choice of vehicles, aircrafts and jewelry after working my tale off over the last fifty years and just will not settle for business class anymore AR is First class!
My channel is all about self-conversions and I'm usually skeptical of "professional" van conversion companies... That being said, this build is legendary. The amount of forethought put into the interactions of each component is a demonstration of how truly skilled your engineers & builders are. Very impressive.
If you saw the price you would change your mind, these toys are for the rich reliant on a functional society, if society collapses it becomes an expensive paper weight.
@@source5729 you will quickly run out of fuel and have to abandon the vehicle so unless you have some serious back country survival skills and able to hunt of the land and protect yourself from the real badasses out there hunting you then you will be dead in a few months.

Looks nice but there’s zero soul in this van. There’s no place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and work on your laptop. All that power just for a microwave and air conditioner.
It’s one of the most self-centered selfish things I’d ever heard. I don’t mean the whole move home bit but the thoughtless self-centered disregarding of his family’s feelings. Maybe they’d have liked to spend the holidays together at home. Of course, if he’s like this his kids probably don’t give a crap about him anyway. He’s an example of some of the Gen-X people who really started this selfish uncaring society we live in today. I’m glad he’s not my dad.

@@malco49 There're a couple of European brothers (can't think of their channel's name) who set up some interesting hidden security bolts for their van. I think it would be enough to prevent a common burglary attempt. If the van is as high-tech inside as out, you can set up a camera and remote notification when the doors open, etc. I'm not ready to retire for another 10 years, but I've been gathering my thoughts on how I would want to set up a van.
@@dodgeplow i get that cameras and notification won't help much if you are off on a hike or on a lake etc and you come back to you batteries all gone. but i get it. i am just a city rat etc
@@malco49 I'm thinking it'll deter a casual thief, and maybe buy enough time to get back if you aren't far. I'm hoping there aren't too many hard-core thieves on hiking trails. Still, you can only prep so much.
The engineering, design and build is amazing. You have a great team. I would love to spend some time there to see the process. You guys are taking the lead in custom builds. I wonder what a tiny home would look like if you guys were leading the design and build process.

As someone who works in this industry, this van looks great inside, awesome job! Doing custom one off cabinets is incredibly frustrating and time consuming trying to keep an even reveal and tight tolerances. There are no utilitarian traits on the inside but it seems like the roof rack missed that production meeting all together. No windows, but a helicopter landing pad, very stealth indeed.
This video was nicely layed out with so many details I'm sure I will watch it as few more times One word comes to mind, perfection! Thanks for sharing....
In what city or state are you located? Unit cost? Payment options? Guarantee? Color options? Delivery times? Available throughout the USA? Limitations? If there are, of what kind; why? Who, where, how, when?
Never use, never use slotted hose clamps they suck, come lose and fail. Always use crimped clamps or at least the non slotted raised ribbed heavy duty ones. The slotted ones will come lose in about 10 years. Every thing else is bad ass though....
Very impressive. I think that they will be adding a window to the sliding door as they will find it is still just as stealth (with a blackout curtain) but gives them something more than a camera view for those other times they want the beach or mountain view. Nice work ARV!
Cameras everywhere on top of the van and you think it's stealth? Not hating but doesn't it defeat the purpose of not having windows (natural light and ventilation)? The build is extremely professional though.
Pretty sure the marine hatch will give plenty of natural light plus their secondary fan and their giant air conditioner. The kicker here is that I think the owner is probably also installing solar panels from another company. Or hes just gonna use his alternator to charge the batteries. this is what happens when you give a custom van builder carte blanche. Top of the line everything.
So this is for millionaires.. how about you make a van for real vanlifers. Good quality build but no one I know who lives in a van could afford this shit.

You're absolutely right, nobody, particularly street people are going to think that its just another commercial van! The highly visible bank of cameras alone would lead even a casual observer to conclude that there's something very different about this vehicle! Covert cameras would attract considerably less attention, and those side bars with built in lockable hatches draw the eye like a magnet. The absence of windows and access panels on a van body can indeed help to give it a degree of 'stealth', however, the effect is somewhat undone by attaching other high visibility features like a custom cctv camera bank and side rails with lockable hatches. Had the side rails and hatches been concealed with what appeared to be ubiquitous coach trim panels and the cctv cameras been concealed, the vehicle could be considered to be stealth.

This is incredibly cool. What a feat of design and engineering! They make it feel spacious and luxurious inside. But what happens when the van reaches 300,000 miles? Or if you get in an accident??
I’m sure they don’t “hate” their kids. They are thinking about themselves because they can and it’s time. Also now they can travel and enjoy the next chapter in their lives. Imagine if it was vice verse and the kids didn’t have room for their parents. I’m sure they don’t “hate” their parents ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just the build quality of a exotic yacht and gulf stream jet, my two favorites:) fit and finish, not just this one but all of them, custom to each persons likes! While I am set on the Revel 2020 model, I just might, have AR build me a CUSTOM Revel, hidden wall fasteners, colors, etc, I believe that AR can build it much better and streamlined, perhaps with details im unaware of too:) Really, holding off on the Revel purchase until i watch more videos of AR vans! Just the fact that AR uses the different AC roof system and Revel uses the older version standard in the industry and without a way to self power it at this time...............AR seems to be more advanced with battery technology than Road Trek which is ahead of the times!
This is one of the best videos that I have seen you guys do in a very long time. That’s not to say the others are bad, but, this explains who you are and why you care.
This thing will be reduced to a basic shelter in an end-of-the-world scenario. There will be no water, fuel, electricity, food, etc. This thing is toast after the batteries run dry, with no solar and no diesel.
Whatever floats your boat. If you full time in it, maybe a 170 would be better. Personally, I'd only be interested in a 144. Much easier to park and maneuver.
Jin p Nothing in my opinion, I actually own a 170” extended, but I also work at a shop that converts vans and everyone wants the 144”. Mostly because it’s so easy to drive and park.
@@jeremyfreetoroam I'm up against the fence trying to decide on a 2015 170 or 170 extended. Currently driving a 06 158 about to hit 300k. The 170 would allow slightly better urban mobility, but love the look and extra capacity of 170. extended.
I'm in the market for a class B RV. I love the presentation and the product but, one thing I've learned in life, if I have to ask the cost, I probably can't afford it.
Beautiful, as is all your work I’ve seen. My concern would be all that moisture inside that van (steaming producing coffee maker and steam producing oven, not to mention people) with all that heavy insulation, no windows but the front ones to let fresh air in, stale air out, is a breeding ground for mold to grow quickly. I realize there is a fan, but you need a way for air to get in for the fan to pull air out. Nothing against ARV or the new owners, just my own thoughts. Also agree with others about lack of space inside. I could never live in that small a space and be happy. To each their own. Hope the new owners are thrilled and have many hours and miles of safe and happy travels.
Martha Manigross In my 170, there are many options for make up air, including multiple windows. One of my favorites is just to run the exhaust fan, and allow the negative pressure to draw air in through the existing hvac system, as this passes through the cabin air filter, removing pollen and dust. That's an excellent option on this build too. You did notice they have an exhaust fan, AC, roof hatch, in addition to the front windows, yes? No shortage of ventilation options there.
Nice to see the attention to detail. Most of the larger RV manufacturers build low quality rigs and make their money on volume sales. Even high end $500k RVs in built in 2020 have battery technology from 2005. Nice to see some serious Lithium batteries here.
What an amazing build! I never thought of having a windowless solarless (Is that a word??) but the design is elegant in that it coordinates the technical complexity with a very simple exterior. Amazing job! This old engineer loved the video. Kudos to the owner and to Advanced RV!
Great. Wonderful. Stealth maybe but off-grid? How long exactly are you going to live off grid with a 18 gal. Black tank and a 24 gallon grey? (EST.) You’re going to be dumping every 1 to 3 days. Yes, I know, 40 gal. Fresh water tank is a good size. But if your goal is to get away for a few days, you aren’t getting far.
alexander5207 - O.K., True but then You don’t have to use an RV either. Isn’t the whole point of an RV so you don’t have to poop in the woods? Water, bed, heat, restroom, kitchen, refrigerator and stove are why yo buy one of these over a tent.
coconut , most ARV clients opt for a portable induction cooktop stored away in a cabinet + a microwave. This van has that built-in steam oven instead of the microwave.

Fantastic build! Excellent craftsmanship! I wonder if it would be rattle free after traveling Montana back roads? The owners must have been planning for years to do this . Imagine this cost as much as an expensive home.

Really cool and awesome but in no way does it look stealth, get a fake company sticker on it and get cheaper wheels because shiny wheels like that stick out when stealth camping

Very nice indeed. As a retired engineer I have to say that is very impressive. Not easily accomplished with me. My mother purchased a custom van from a company who claimed to be a professional conversion outfit. My brother and I had to redo almost everything they did. Compared with such pretenders, you guys are outstanding. A long time ago now and though she has since sold the vehicle, she still reminds us and tells any who will listen how proud she was of us at the time... Haha bless. The work you guys are doing here reminds me a little of those Nasa engineering documentaries, detailing how they built and maintained their spacecraft. Your whole ethos, methods and attention to detail along with customer centered design. Here is the remit. How can we make it happen as opposed to, we can't do this or that and it's not what you asked for, but would this be ok? Nothing is impossible. Also the fact that your customers are willing to attend a mutual appreciation gathering every so oft is a testament to their satisfaction. One small thing though. The client mentioned sitting on the roof deck. Doing so with non fixed seating on that small area looks a bit dicey to me. Couldn't you have made a couple of folding single post seats that could be fixed to the deck? Just a thought. Still fabulous.
