We live in the Rose Valley at the foot of the Balkan Mountains. Slow living is a way of life here , we feel that we can escape back to a simpler place and time.
This is a typical slow day in our village . We like to walk our five rescue dogs in the morning - where they enjoy the last snows of spring on the mountains. Returning home there is always work to do in the garden until an unexpected storm arrives and the rain drives us indoors. I decide to make homemade Easter eggs.
Life here is all about Cottagecore - a return to the land, Self-sufficiency and small farming, local customs and traditions, home cooked food from scratch, and the beautiful countryside around our home.
