Osula is not ready! It’s very obvious that he needs time. At the moment Gordon is better than him and played in that position for the England U21’s. Now looking outside the box, we played better than any other time on the road, finishing is now the focus. Eddie is getting it right slowly. During the post game press conference Eddie mentioned “if I am the manager next season” people seem to have glossed over this. This linguistically is a sign that he has an exit strategy and he is making himself available. That’s my thoughts. We’re getting better game by game. Patience.
Osula will get his day. I think Howe thought we would go on and win it regardless. I can’t remember the last away game I went to where we dominated so much. Just couldn’t put the ball in the net. I agree, Wilson or Isak start and we win comfortably.
Our build up play is brilliant but our final ball is atrocious! The amount of times players like Murphy were shooting instead of passing 🙈. This was the perfect game for Osula in my opinion. Definitely 2 points dropped
Thought this was a good match review and honest about the striker situation. Yes, we are in a healthy situation with points gained so far, but the away form is still an issue. Thought the midfield three were ordinary today and Everton's low block took Barnes and Murphy out of the game. Not sure what the plan was to overcome the low block. On the striker situation, Wilson was injured in the summer, so any injury to Isak was always going to cause us problems. Osula may be the answer in the future. Slightly concerned that he hasn't really scored many goals to date in his career as goalscoring is partly an art but also partly an instinct. Eddie Howe will give him time to develop. It's a question of who will score the goals for us right now. Gordon through the middle is not the answer.
I thought overall we played pretty well actually. Obviously the finishing let us down but it was good to see us playing high up the pitch, passing well (enough) and fighting for each other for a full 90. True though why have a striker there if he's not going to be used, it takes too long for Howe to get players into the mix generally.
If Osula is not ready to even play the last 25 minutes of a game then why is he even on the bench. The correct substitution at 62mins was Murphy for Osula, move Gordon to right and Barnes on Left, Osula at CF. He is 6'4 for god's sake his presence alone would have changed the dynamics in the box. He did not need to be ready for the Premier league to play the role of a target man in the box forcing the opposition to change their tactics. That Eddie Howe can not see that is worrying. Almiron and Murphy are NOT the future of NUFC.
Why not put Joelinton in strike and in my opinion this has to be Howes last season. My reasoning is hes shown us that he has a pattern of going backwards hes ok Manager with a good style of play if it works it doesn't work no more . Also it takes him like 10 months realise where he goes wrong .
We attack the exact same way every game and it has been fully worked out. They were beyond poor which made us look better. Not feeling this season at all
@chrisbravo920 I'm entitled to my opinion, which, believe it or not, doesn't always have to be positive. 7 goals in 6 games with a fairly easy start to the season shows my point.
We are toothless up front and I am sorry but some are massively deluded thinking that Osula will improve that simply by judging his record. Which begs the question to why apparently Tindall recommended him? We miss Callum, but at this stage of his career is he made of glass and now a liability due to injury despite how really good he is? Why are our owners not mekkin any noise aboot how these restrictions in the transfer market are seriously holding us back whilst Chelsea are ripping the pish? Very strange indeed.
Barnes has been one of our best players so far this season, but yet Eddie takes him off first. Gordon has been poor and always get 90 mins... This is why English managers can't be elite.
@@mauricekennedy6786 he never will be, going by your theory he shouldn't be on the bench never mind the squad?? You can't tell me Everton are better team than Wimbledon 😂😂😂😂
because the head coach doesn't want to win unless his favourites are playing. biggest issue is that callum wilson has now missed over 55% of games. if they extend him then i'm very much Howe out.
We were not scoring with Isak also we playes shit every game no attack no one can pass the ball. We are too slow in passing . No one is making runs we look like a releagated side. Last week we were amazing . Someone explain why does Burn so much of the ball .
Osula not coming on is a clear indicator Howe feels the players on the pitch play the position alot better than he can, I dont rate the Osula signing anyway
On Tony there Man the ref shou;ld have called a unsporting and whistled the Everton mob lead by Young away.. The Crowd was chanting A Gordon to liverpool..hard to focus getting the lean by picks too late he hits the pen off a heal not easy to direct then
@@smanvir94 As thick as thinking osula would have had any meaningful impact on the game? Obvs I'm not really saying Anthony did badly on purpose but that pen man and numerous other moments...
Osula you did not see.. should have shifted formation for a bigger man up front for Gordon to pivot off As some reporters said and talk sport play by play chances weird richetites some lack of threats to scare Tark and Keen old fashion bully men.
We need another striker if not playing Osula. Can be an older forward such as Maxi Gomez or Ben-Yedder, available on free’s . Take a punt until end of season. Isak made of glass & Wilson is done, done.
Evertons dads army defence, and toothless Newcase fire blanks. Letting Gordon take a pen was beyond stupid. Howe isnt getting the best out of this squad, and europe is acpipe dream.
Bang on No service not one cross Missed opportunity against Wimbledon could have picked a team to go out and destroy Wimbledon and more importantly pump balls in to osula give him service if they had done that he might scored a goal or 2 Wouldn't you think due to our striker situation They would try get him as best prepared as possible 5 10 15mins hear and there OK they not done that fair enough he 6ft 4 built like a tank lighting quick and presses hard only thing he can't do yet is score... and manage iask minutes carefully. ... Any way finally gets his chance they don't go out play well they bimbled about in 2nd gear give him no service just like with isak this season that's great confidence booster It was either eddie howe or players either way missed the chance to go our put in a performance give the lad some service make him look great get goal build the kids confidence up God help us if we need never going get better with out any minutes and when they do don't pass him the ball or give him any service.
did you say joelinton had a good game the guy has no creativity on that left side at all thats why we keep attacking from the right side all the time he kills every momentum we create with his slow passes or too many touches go watch that game again we create space he slows it down everton get back in shape the ball gets stuck between his legs too much he barely does that run in behind anymore i love joelinton because he tracks back but when he has the ball he is not midfielder he is shocking
If you watched the Wimbledon game then that is all you need to know about Osula. He is not good enough and never will be just ask Sheffield Utd fans who couldn’t believe we paid that fee for him.
I think people have learned absolutely nothing about Howes style of management. Gordon got almost no game time for 6 months when he signed. For Lewis Hall it was nearly 8 months. That approach has been vindicated by how they have settled....yet he should just chuck in Osula because a few fans are frustrated?
When your two strikers are injured then yes. The difference with Gordon and Hall were the fact that he had other players fit in that position so it was easier to slowly integrate them into the team. Not saying Osula should be starting every week but he should be getting more game time than he's currently getting.
@@knoxy6884 last season when Matt Targett got injured and Burn was getting done every week at LB Hall still wasn't getting picked so it's not really any different If Gordon scores that pen nobody os talking about Will Osula. If Bruno scores the one cleared off the line, if Joelinton had got a clean connection to Gordon's header, if Gordon scores his 1 v1 ...point is we did more than enough to win the game its just one of those days
You can say it's vindicated but since we haven't seen the opposite approach we don't know for sure it is the right way. I don't know another manager who takes this long to get new players into the mix.
@@jdevlin1910 well Pep for one is notorious for bedding young players in hence why Cole Palmer left. The proof is in the results Howe has us massively outperforming what we spend as he did with Bournemouth. Some people will never be happy
Barnes hardly got the ball because, for some reason we hold the ball up to long at the back the midfield does not keep the pass it out wide to Trippier who is a shite player. And Gordan is doing too much . On top we playing long ball football.
Howe cost us the game. No plan B Allowing Gordon to embarrass himself by taking a pen under massive pressure. Not throwing Osula on with half an hour to go. I won’t be watching any more of this garbage this season. Unless they spend huge in January it’s over this season.
