In recent years I learned about Bob Woodward - thanks to MSNBC - and I always enjoy listening to him speak. He enunciates so clearly, slowly and thoughtfully... he reminds me of when Morpheus speaks in The Matrix (1999).

for 50 years Mr. Woodward has proven himself to be an honest forthright reporter of the politics of the United States. His reputation is established. I have read many of his books and seen many interviews he has done on television. I trust him completely. Maga cannot sully his authenticity.

Lawrence thank you for your thoughtful commentary you have consistently done over years. There is one point that is never covered re tRumps tariffs, what ever level is applied by red orange the distributors will add their overheads to price. The overheads for a small company averages around 30% and will be added to sale price and big companies it can be up to 55-60%

Pfffft, you must not be paying attention to or watching any of Trump's speeches lately because the man can barely talk anymore. The constant slurring, the constant phonemic paraphasia, and even if he gets the word out it's often horribly mispronounced on top of the slurring! He's physically relieving himself on stage, crapping himself! He's so incoherent, acting confused and lost most of the time that if he wasn't such a hateful person, I'd feel sad for him. We've been calling him Dementia Don for years, but he's utterly collapsed in the last few months since Biden dropped out.

I'm from Utah and this state is mostly Red. Senator Mike Lee is from here. I have seen a few Harris Walz signs . The predominant church (LDS) encourages their members to vote Republican.

@@dawndonivan3089 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints does NOT encourage people to vote Republican. The official church stance is neutrality and in the last couple of years the church specifically said anyone can belong to either political party. Most LDS members do vote Republican unfortunately and as an LDS Democrat honestly that baffles and frustrates me because I vote Democrat because to neither policies most align with my religious beliefs. So culturally yes I guess you could say that the LDS members are culturally encouraged to vote Republican but that is NOT the doctrine.
