This is done very often in war. It basically means you can obtain evidence through any means. For example, if I enter your home without a warrant, and find the murder weapon in your closet, it’s inadmissible in court. The evidence itself was obviously STAGGERING. The Third Reich documented its atrocities, and the accused were all well-known and well-documented figures.

It was written into the bylaws of the Nuremburg trials that these were not actual trials, they were show trials where the "evidence" would be presented and it could not be commented on or examined in any way. This is all written in the actual bylaws of the "trials".

The knot of the noose has to hang just forward the ear, so that when the prisoner drops through the trap and the rope tightens the knot is pressed against the head just forward of the ear. The knot is then tightened and the pressure of that breaks the neck of the prisoner, and death is almost instant. If the prisoner struggles and doesn’t die, then the hangman has to go down under the gallows and swing from the prisoners legs until the neck is broken. All in a day’ work? If you think they were badly treated, then don’t get me started about the Japanese …

Albert Pierrepont was probably the most efficient and humane hangman at this time and probably of all time. He hung many of the SS Guards including the women. Pierrepont hung the youngest females first, because he believed them to be the most frightened. This was the 'measure ' of the man. Very interesting video. Thank you. 👍

They were mainly Estonians who had been conscripted into the German army when Estonia was occupied. After WW2 Estonia was in turn occupied by the Soviets and they couldn't go back as they were considered collaborators who would most certainly be executed upon return.

Secondly, it isn't an excuse for people losing, it's a fact, a statement. The victor of a war has most of the leverage, if not, all. There were many innocent Germans that were executed even though they had not commited any crimes, for example, Wehrmacht Heer Panzer crewmen were executed by the U.S.S.R and the U.S because they wore black uniforms, they assumed they were SS, in reality, all panzer crewmen were issued black uniforms to conceal oil stains and general work grime. SS panzer crewmen usually wore camouflaged tunics and their uniforms did not have the red piping of Wehrmacht Heer Panzer crewmen. Another somewhat well known case is Hauptmann (Captain) Wilhelm Adalbert Hosenfeld, who saved the lives of numerous Jewish people, he hid and fed them, he was given an unfair trial, was tortured and was worked to death. "History is written by the victors" it isn't an excuse, it's a factual statement, the victor has total control over the defeated and can ask anything of them without consequences and can convict them of anything, even if they did nothing wrong. I would bet my life that at the very least, one of those men in the Nuremberg trials were sentenced to death even though they had not commited any crimes.
