Brandon Maddox, Silencer Central CEO, talked with Eric Poole, the Editor-in-Chief of Guns & Ammo, to go over the latest updates on ATF approval times, silencer inventory, and the newest products. Read the story here: www.silencerce...
I live very rural and the nearest FFL that sells or accepts silencers is fairly far away, so I decided to use Silencer Central. I ordered 3 cans on 12/12/2023 using a Trust. My approvals came in on 04/29/2024 and they were delivered to my door on 05/23/2024. I was pleased with the ease of the entire process through SC, and I didn’t encounter any hiccups along the way. I already had a set of digital prints from when I did some SBRs, so that made things go faster with SC. I intend to order some more cans this summer, so I hope the AFT gets things moving faster for cans submitted through trusts. I know a 4-month wait time is a drop in the bucket compared to what it used to be, but seeing things going much faster for individual applications makes waiting months using a trust all the more frustrating.
Buyer Beware, they wait until ready to ship to fill orders. They can and probably will send an email saying part of you order is on back order. How is that possible after waiting a year and paying a year ago in full for them to drop the ball. Yes, I got the email and customer service said this is an ongoing issue with demand? WTF a year ago I paid in full not my fault but now my problem. Hope management and this guy knows how jacked his company is. Sales guy collected $2500 for 2 cans and adapters. Tail end of my dealing with them is disgusting. Just letting everyone know about this issue. I see I'm not the only one on reviews.
That explains why their company is the only one getting exclusive access to/with them, with backdoor meetings and backroom deals, possibly selling away more of "We The People's" rights behind the scenes.
As someone currently waiting, here are details! Submitted eForm Form 4 individual w/ EFT prints on 05/15 in NE OH. The FFL submitted for me electronically, no SS kiosk. At 16 days total, I got no response from NCIS Liason or eForm Admin via email. Contacted my state representative, and got a privacy release form and submitted it in response to their office today. I have a CCW and work for my local county. My peers whom submitted individual after me are still getting approvals in 24HRS-1 week. If I can pass background any other time, I should be able to take my suppressor home given I already paid for the tax stamp and can, period.
It took Silencer Central over 4 weeks to ship out my Banish 45 after completing all approvals and LE notifications. Just for it to show up without the 1/2x28 piston it’s supposed to come with. Called customer support to check and they said pistons are back ordered and it’s gonna be another 2 months before they send them out. How about letting your customers know you’re sending them unusable products?? Mind you that I’ve talked to customer support at least 3 times while waiting for them to ship the can, and not a single mention about the most important part of the order is gonna be missing! Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. These people are incompetent at best
Can’t complain and will buy again from SC. Filed forms, fingerprints and pic at the NRA show with them on a Sunday, ATF approved on Monday, local Leo on Thursday. Mandatory 7-day wait and called them on day 8. One of the 3 pistons is on back order and they wanted to wait until in stock (approx 2 months). I asked to have the can shipped out ASAP and send the remaining piston when available. SC send it right next day. Can in hand with 2 pistons 2 weeks after placing order. Since they have my profile, I’m gonna place another order soon. Love it! Way better than my can experience 7 years ago with paper process from different dealer…
I can't speak about the other suppressor companies that can help you get a suppressor but I can tell you that Silencer Central owes me a thread adapter or a refund. Empty promises and poor customer service and no thread adapter. Packing list said it was in the box. CSR (good luck getting one on the phone) said they are on back order and will ship out any day. No adapter for six weeks now. Don't get ripped off by Silencer Central!
I never got my fixed barrel spacer to use my Banish 45 on my CMMG Banshee and Stribog SP9A1, both with fixed barrels. So I am stuck with a $1.2K suppressor I cannot use. No ETA when the item will be in stock to ship. Meanwhile I have one today showing up from Advanced Armament Company, theirs looks exactly same as the SC one. I will find out today if it fits. I was going to buy a third suppressor, one for my 5.56, but I think I will go with a kiosk for Silencer Co at my local Rainier Arms.
You guys e-formed my Banish 45 on April 18, and my Banish 22 on April 24. Have not heard anything from the ATF. Was told my two will take five months plus since I had to do a trust on both of them. Very frustrating when people are getting ATF approval in two days.
@@LonestarROB I also bought a suppressor cover a month back and it had not shipped, I also bought two Velcro patches. My order did not go out because the patches were out of stock. It never said that when I ordered them. Tod them just ship me my cover and refund me on the patches. Got my suppressor cover, but never got a refund on the patches.
@@yotatech Glad to hear I'm not the only outlier, in terms of receiving bad experiences from them on multiple occasions. Appreciate more people like you speaking out about your own personal experiences with them. They've lied a bunch of times in the past. An example being, Brandon Maddox "LIED" multiple times on different podcasts/youtube channels, about giving away, or waiving the $200 tax stamp for first time buyers/customers, but as soon as you contact their email or give them a call, you get told otherwise. Isn't that called "False Advertisement" or something similar? Like who's really running the show @ Silencer Central??? 🤔🤔🤔
@@LonestarROB I learned the hard way as well unfortunately. Takes forever to get approvals going through them, instead of Silencer Shop, Capitol Armory, and your own local FFL/SOT.
Man trust me these guys are lying I have several NFA items and they all took 9 months or more, it's a shame but that's how the feds are and I'm retired military and they DNT give a shit trust me😊
Been totally approved waited 5 months now Silencer Central is taking their sweet time awaiting shipment. Been over a week waiting for them to start the “shipping” process. What is their problem?? Very frustrating.
I ordered 2 cans last May, and they told me 8-10 month wait for ATF. I had them both sooner than they said I would. Still need to obtain a Banish 45, so that may be in the works if it is going to show up much quicker.
You're talking your book. I'll believe that applications are being processed in real time when it's posted all over the net. It would be monumental, and it's not happening
Same-day approvals are happening for some individuals, they are posting proof on social media. We have approvals ranging from hours to days on individuals. Currently, our average approval time for individual filing is 7.3 days and the average for trust filing is 150.
OK, I went through silencer central to get my suppressor. Called them at the beginning of May to order a suppressor. They were very helpful and walked through the paper work. Once I got everything done and they submitted the paperwork to ATF, it was approved the next day. I paid for the suppressor all ready and I still have NOT received my suppressor. It is taking LONGER for me to get my suppressor from silencer central, then it did getting approved by ATF!
So can I purchase one under a “individual” and then transfer it to a trust that I already have? Just think you get it a lot quicker filling as individual.
ATF needs to learn how to do them as they come in by date. I have one that was submitted Nov. 15th and nothing. Also Brandon if you already have NFA items when you buy another it should throw a flag and you get automatic approval this shit is ridiculous having to wait and see people get approved in days while you been waiting months. You need to stay in their asses. ATF is a joke. Individuals or trust shouldn’t matter I have a trust but nobody is on it so what the hell is the difference. Individual wasn’t even offered to me on my recent purchase and submittal so thats BS. Common name is BS Im the only one in the entire US with my name plus I go through all kinds of background checks every year for my work and still nothing. The ATF process is a damn joke period.
This video is BS from what ATF told me yesterday. The ATF does whatever they want its a jacked up system just to get something thats not even a firearm. I didn’t get offered to do individual either like said. This will be my last time doing this BS process.
Jan 2024 has my stuff filed with Feds and cans in my home mid May 2024 with a family trust. My only compliant is the heat bag and wrap for my 30 gold is on backorder so I am missing those items. I also have a problem with my 1/2x28 brake not screwing into my 30 gold..It wants to crossthread. SC said they will help me with this but it's several weeks later. The 30 gold with 300BLK but have not been able to shoot 556 yet :(
I took the plunge. Was told it could be 6 days to two weeks. Its been 6 weeks with no light at end of tunnel. My concealed carry permit was renewed the week before I bought the can. Federal and State background check so I'm clean. Why the delay on my ok when I'm obviously clean. Frustrating to say the least. They already have my 200. bucks.
I just got off the phone with the ATF 5 minutes ago, my form 4 has been with them for a month. They informed me that the average wait time is now 61 days. So your ATF friend is incorrect.
Moved from IL to IA on a Saturday 3 weeks ago. Applied for my DL on the following Monday. Got my temporary license and went to Scheel's. Inquired about silencers. Asked me if I had my DL. I told him I have the temp one because I just moved to this state. They said no problem. Did all the paperwork, fingerprinting, etc. Took about about an hour. Was approved in 2 business days and picked up my silencer/suppressor Friday. Pew Pew Saturday.
@geomarzolf8608 from the date of ordering on 4-3-2024 to 7-11-2024 when I received them, it was a total of 98 days with a trust. Not counting the Banish 22 since it arrived with the Banish 45. But they were not going to ship as they do not have any fixed barrel spacers, WTF? Whole reason I bought the Banish 45 was to use it with a CMMG Banshee and Stribog SP9A1, both fixed barrels. I told them to just give me my suppressors, and get me my spacer later. There is no eta on the fixed barrel spacer. Anyone know if you can use another companies fixed barrel spacer on the Banish 45? I want to use it now!
They are a joke. End up having to order the insert and muzzel brakes. Find out the muzzel brake was also on back order. WTF, was gonna dispute my cc charge but was refunded. Now can't use it on my 308 that is was bought for. Also, everytime I spoke with the customer service they all lied. Not once but most of the time. I think they sell shit they don't have available to make you wait. Not me refunded and washed my hands with them. Never even offered to make right. Disgusting!
Don't use Silencer Central. I started my application on June 26th. They have managed to mess up my application so many times that it's July 30th and still haven't filed my form 4 application. Every time they mess up the application I have to reschedule the certification call and that is another week delay over and over. DONT USE THEM. They are just as bad if not worse than the ATF.
The e-form site will not show any info on your tax stamps or forms submitted. I bought two suppressors from SC, and even after receiving them a few weeks ago, no information shows up on my ATF account.
@@theman-pc2ej yes it would. I had talked with the ATF on the phone, and the woman I spoke with said I would not be able to see any information on my account information or approvals.
Same here I asked for an individual and they told they did not do them - That was April of 2024 and now they say they are doing individual while I sit an wait for their trust to be approved
@@richardhendricks4018 yep - same exact thing happened to me too. I begged to do an individual if there was any chance that I wouldn’t get a quick approval, but they said “trusts are just as fast” and “we don’t do individual”. Now, 112 days later, I wait. The only reason I bought was for a quick approval.
I have a banish 45 and 30. They are really good in my opinion. I used the 45 on an fn 509, SA echelon, Canik tp9 sub compact and they are all quiet with supersonic ammo and extremely quiet with subs. The 30can is my baby. I put it on everything from 300blackout down to 223/5.56 and 22lr I have a banish 223 and another banish 30 that got approved so I really enjoy the banish line.
Received my submission from the atf 5/22/24 with a trust… didn’t get a choice… still sitting with the aft as of yesterday and was Tod the trust submission is 152 days or longer at best! There are 2021 people registered in the world with my last name. I have a clean record so these lead times for a trust oin this video are far from accurate.
Did you buy it though a trust? I was excited seeing 2 and 3 day turn around but apparently that's for individual form 4 only. I'm at 3 months and I used a trust.
Yeah. I got mine. But the idea of paying in full for something you might not get is kinda silly. When you get it, use it, you realize you just wasted $1k on a novelty. I won't be purchasing anymore.
