I know the joker was the focus but damn, they crafted an AMAZING Harley Quinn, from the looks, to the voice, personality and antics and made her an almost equal to him.

I really like this interpretation of the Joker, he’s so cold.

Joker slicing his face off was beyond fucked. And perfectly in character. Well done.

As an actor I really appreciate this version of Mr J. I hear nuances and things many wouldn't hear in this characters monologues. I love the calm and collected delivery... Riveting.

This is one sick disturbed fan film. Like, WOW, this could be a horror movie. But man, this was pretty good. The makeup, editing and score were incredible for a fan film, really! And congratulations to the actress who play Quinn, she was great (and she's beautiful).

Having heard the story behind this film I'm not surprised by the Joker. They managed to cast someone that is more evil than the Joker to play him.

“You’re testing my patience here.” “Imagine how I feel.” Y’know how people say this Joker doesn’t actually joke? Remember, he was a patient in this hospital, and the doctor tested on him and others brutally. He also got in by killing an entire ward so he could blend in with the bodies. “You’re testing my PATIENTS here.” “Imagine how I feel.” These writers are geniuses.

The effects in this are way better than I’ve ever seen on RU-vid, they’re better than some TV shows actually

This was an amazing fan film and you gave us a pretty terrifying and menacing Joker. Also, I love how you kept to the idea of Joker's "If I had a backstory, I'd like it to be multiple choice"

the joker was okay, but the actress playing Harley NAILED it. the accent and mannerisms were spot on!

When a fan film puts more time, effort, and love into a film then a multimillion-dollar movie

After a couple of years since I last saw this short film and I still love it. I love the choices that were made. The Mad Love chemistry between him and Peggy/Harley. The song and the dance that they do I just love it.

Why is it that fans can create better versions of the actual licensed product?

It seems that the only people hating on this are the people who only know joker from the movies. If any of the people hating picked up any of the comics with joker in it, you'd see it's perfect. They did great at joker, especially the original joker story, so what if he doesn't have green hair till the end, you assholes didn't complain that heath ledger looked NOTHING like the joker at all. These guys got the New52 joker down right, and got the personality of that mixed with the original joker. Good work guys.

The stop motion animation was incredible, really atmospheric and a great way to do a flashback.

Harley was brilliant. Her accent was perfect (Something lacking in Suicide Squad for some reason), and the actor who played the Joker had this presence about him. To me, this guy IS the Joker.

Okay, to everyone who has their panties in a bunch, it doesn't have to be a 100% accurate, panel by panel representation of the Joker. It's their interpretation and take on him. They made him psychotic and realistic, and that's great. Sure, he didn't laugh much, but he doesn't have to. If he did, I can guarantee their would be people complaining how his laugh isn't perfect, or how it isn't close enough to Hamill's or Ledger's. Its an adaptation of him. Nothing has to be exactly like the comics, or previous versions of the character. If it were, it would be boring because we would know everything that happens. I love this take on him, and personally think he looks like Frank Miller's Joker from The Dark Knight Returns. This is a great representation and original take on the Joker, and the story is nice as well.

There is a lot of good in this fan film. It has what a lot of fan films lack, a spark of creativity. Too many people imitate what they see, but this is definitely original. The best part of this fan film is definitely the cinematography. It looks really professional and clean. Honestly, it looks better than most superhero movies nowadays. In particular, I love the tooth fairy sequence. Unconnected from the rest of the DC canon this holds up very well, but I personally cannot see this Joker as Batman's future archnemesis. The performance is chilling and creepy but I never feel like I'm watching the Joker. While a new spin on something old can be good, I feel like he relies too much on physical violence. I feel this way about many modern interpretations of the character, if the Joker's motif is needless violence, it loses its value. The reason people remember The Killing Joke is the Joker's motivation. The Joker didn't shoot Barbara Gordon because he likes shooting people, he did it to torment Commissioner Gordon on a psychological level. That he is committing all these awful acts to simply prove a point. It shows how little he values human life. Joker sees his crimes as theatre, however, if all his crimes are based solely on violence it shows that he sees value in human life, since he sees the estinguishing of it as unique. Plus their are plenty of murderers out there, it makes the Joker seems less unique and intersting if he is just a murderer. The audience also doesn't have a grasp on what this Joker's deal is. If his only motivation is revenge than he comes off as too human and relatable, taking away the fear. Since he killed Dr Hawtins, what motivates him in the future? At the end it is implied that he will continue being the Joker but we never understand why. I get a creepypasta vibe from this video which personally rubs me the wrong way. Since both Joker and Harley have gone through similar trauma, it seems like they actual value eachother which makes the Joker even more humanized. This would work except a lot of the film builds up Joker as an enigmatic figure. A little moment in the film which I did enjoy was when Joker dropped Harley on the floor as soon as the music stopped. It showed that he valued his audience over her wellbeing. I just feel that if he is the central character of the film, we should have a better understanding of his motivations and values. I really like the Harley Quinn though. She has the right amount of childish charm and unhinged intelligence that all Harley Quinns should have. On a more superficial note, I really like her costume, its the right amount of suggestive and colorful. It's practical while still keeping the essentials of the original. The Suicide Squad costume is too sexualized, to the point where it is hard to take the character seriously. Despite spending the majority of this comment on my personal negatives, I did enjoy this film and I hope you continue to make films.

The Cast and Crew did a great job on this. The acting was top notch.

I absolutely love this. it's so well done and I just adore their take on Joker. it's obvious they know a lot about him, but at the same time they changed major parts of the clasic character. that takes some serious (no pun intended) guts. He has a strong 'death of the family' vibe, which is my favorite comic interpretation of him. Not to mention great casting and amazing editing & cinematography. Wow.

Okay. Well it was definitely a very well-made film. But it was no Joker film. The character in this film was not the Joker. If you read any contemporary Batman/Joker comic, the thing about him is that he bridges comedy and tragedy. He's theatrical and weird. He relishes in the macabre and tries to make it into something funny. He laughs and has this energy around him. This film used none of the essential elements of the Joker as a character and just did another fairly bland murder film. This character was Hannibal Lecter. Or Dexter. Or the guy from Saw. Or any other slow-talking serial killer. This film has nothing unique to offer about the character. He was no Joker.

This is so creepy and extremely well done. I don't get why people are you giving you so much crap. This is a different interpretation of the joker and I think your version was extremely creepy. It was entertaining to watch. Very well done!

Of all the Short fan films and the big-budget films this is got to be the best Harley Quinn I've ever seen except for the cartoons and how she was supposed to be.

The creativity put in to this was impressive. Every fan film brings it's own unique take on classic characters so bravo this was amazingly well done.

Coming back to rewatch this in honor of the new Joker arriving in Gotham. And it is still one of the most unnerving Joker fan films out there. I will say this, this "Joker" reminds me somewhat of the versions from The Dark Knight Returns and the new one in Gotham (Jeremiah). Methodical, calculating, frighteningly calm, with hints of the madness that slip through the facade every now and again. It's actually rather terrifying. Good work to the people who did this. Very disturbing, unnerving, and the nod to the New 52 Joker was well done. You have earned a like from me.

My God. This was incredible. An amazing job from the actors to the script to the camera work. Everything fell into place. I really don't know why people are saying that this wasn't Joker. The Joker has different ways of acting which are all cannon. He has a funnier side and he has a darker side. I belive that this represented the jokers more darker side perfectly.

I think this was quite cool. Some creative shots and very professional looking short. However in my opinion the man who played the Joker reminded me more of Hannibal Lecter than the man he was actually representing. This film got Joker's psychopathy right but not the spirit, I keep waiting for the actual 'laugh of the Joker' without actually getting it. This is in no way a bad film and has of course it's own version of Joker, I just don't think this is the overall representation people are expecting and that's why they're a bit disappointed.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the cinematography, the shot composition, as well as the actors! An enthralling personal take on a classic story; well done!

Second time I’ve watched this, and I’ll say two things: #1, this short film sketched me out the second time as much as did the first time I watched it. And #2: obvious talent produced, directed and acted in this unique rendition!! Bravo-Zulu, ladies and gentlemen!

this film is beyond good! the dude is now serving 20 years in federal prison, a real tragic story, he stole and lied to all his best friends and family to keep his Ponzi scheme alive, seems like a cool dude who just got in too deep

This is excellent film-making. My proof is that I could watch this with NO SOUND and I still know what's going on. Visual story telling is the advantage film has over all other mediums, and this is another good example. The camera work, the shadows, the edits, the lead's performance, even having the flashback being in clay animation is a brilliant decision to depict how deranged the Joker's mind is. And for a fan-made film, the production value was pretty impressive.
