Seeing them lose Friday night actually made me sad. I was rooting for Laval like crazy. Do I think they would've made it far into the playoffs-nope, but I was still hopeful they could take that 5th spot. Love Baby Xhekaj and Mailloux and hope they keep playing the way they have. Lots of prospects that I didn't even know existed until I started watching, and paying attention to all you guys that literally cover everything.Huge thanks for all you do. I've definitely learned so much more! Thanks, Amy! I'll be/keep watching.

Thanks very much @She_26! We're so glad you found our channel and appreciate your constant engagement with us! I agree, they likely wouldn't have made it far in the playoffs, but it's always deflating to see a season end like that. Happy that you're keeping an eye on all these prospects, and we'll be here to deliver you more great content all summer long! Go Habs Go :)

Great seeing you back Amy . Just couple of quick comments . The team of this season had only defenseman and Goaltending that has any future on habs other than Roy , and possibly Heiniman uf he can find his game again. Other than that i hate to say it but this Laval offense has nothing else that s going to fit it habs team of future. They re too small and habs have too many small players alrrady . If anything i think you may have 2 players going back to laval that just dont cut it . Pinard and Ylonen had their shot and just arent going to help habs . So if anything laval will have 2 additions or habs end up waiving or throw those 2 in a package that wont really get us much of a return. Offense in laval is loaded with alot of Charles Hudons on thus years roster. Only 2 forwards that had shot are Roy and Heinimen. And Roy is Hab for their third line at this point . Heinimen uf he ever finds his game again. The rest in lavals offense have no future in habs . Now in saying that i think F Xyehaj/ Luke Tuck / Kapanen / Mesar ,and Beck joining the rockets next season will be the only players with a chance of ever making habs . Other than that habs have nothing in theselves as far as offense . They need huge changes for their ofense tragectory. Need Size with skill added not smurfs like lavals roster was loaded with this season. Has to change. I do think and hope Gorton and Hughs should soley be focused on doing that with our future offense in this draft size wuth skill only , no more smurfs . Our defense and goaltending is promising . But thats all thats promising .

General manager John Sedgwick will make the final decisions in Laval for coaches and choices of experienced AHL veterans. Sedgwick, "In the summer, it's to build a lineup that gives an opportunity to our young players to improve and give depth to the Canadiens." "We try to surround [the young players] with good veterans, good players that can help Montreal if the young players aren't ready or need more time. Veterans that can help the young players and also to have a competitive team is something that we want," added the general manager. "It's a difficult balance because we want our young players to be important players on the team. We don't want too much experience but we want enough experience. Winning the Calder Cup isn't the most important thing."

Amy is being SUPER positive about everything.. here's my recap of the Rocket 2024: FWDs: Besides the late additions of Tuch & Florian, there is absolutely NOTHING NHL-worthy there... and I mean NOTHING. Hopefully, Mesar & Beck can add a little excitement for next yr. Defense: Mailloux & Reinbacher need a little more seasoning in the AHL, especially David but Habs have solid players there for the future. Barron is Barron .. he is what he is: mid dMan w/ some Offensive upside Coach: ABSOLUTELY brutal .. a torn-flag waving in the wind is more inspiring than that guy behind the bench #goHabsGo

Yes, definitely trying to maintain some positive thinking after a pretty rough season at the AHL level. I agree that Mesar and Beck could liven things up on the forwards, and Reinbacher/Mailloux still need a bit more time. Thanks as always for watching and for supporting the team! go habs go

If I could describe the season in two words, I would say positive signs. On the other hand, there is something that worries Me, looking into the future. In My opinion, Rocket needs changes in the coaching staff. Yes, the progress of the young hockey players is partly due to the head coach, but only partly. Of course, it is difficult to judge such things without being immersed in the daily routine of the team, but at times it seemed that the players were not developing thanks to the help of the coach; but contrary to this. An A.H.L. team is not just a group of hockey players who train somewhere; awaiting a call to the main team. A.H.L. team should be a full-fledged team with its own playing style and tactics. Of course, the tasks of developing young talents limit the coaching staff in some way, but still. What were the cornerstones of the Lavals game this season? Perhaps not everything worked out, but what wos the plan? Maybe I don't understand the game enough? However, experts do not seem to know the answers to these questions.

that was enjoyable to watch i have a negative feeling about the rocket . imo the coach seems ok at getting players ready for the show . but imo he seems to lack the development skills needed by the team .to progress the blue chippers otw . he also said some negative things to the media during his exit interview . like he was mandated to play norlinder . that leads me to believe that perhaps he was mandated to play dobas . imo thats the reason they didnt make the playoffs .not losing by a goal at the last second . if they played the backup once or twice more during the season .perhaps limiting dobas to 49-50 games .might have gotten that extra point . just saying . speculating . houle doesnt have a contract i believe .thats lame duck coaching imo . i also felt he threw kidney under the bus . during that interview . sometimes you need to lose for the team to take action .on some pos that they couldnt get rid of without an excuse . next season im excited to have yakemchuck or parekh in laval . to go along with hutson and mailloux or reinbacker . i dont want that coach developing them . imo gohabsgo
