I'm proud of the effort we put in today. The pressure and the way we used the ball I haven't seen in for a couple of years. But putting in 4qtrs will win us games against the top sides. Go roos !!
Let the dust settle and everyone will see the reality we kicked 19 goals 4 behinds now that is something to celebrate as we have really struggled with getting a decent score 19 goals 🎉🎉🎉
Please explain to the umpiring dept needs to be sent. Daicos can drop it 20m out from goal, play on. Wins 6 free kicks himself, 24 to 14 free kick count. 2 Collingwood players ran over the mark by 10m, no 50m penalty. Robbed
@imalwaysright slow mo shows he missed it. Probably tells a story about daicos and the friendly run he gets. That said, if we didn't run out of puff it wouldn't have mattered.
You expect that playing Collingwood, so the object is not to be a chump and make it easy for the umpires to blow the whistle, especially at important moments and in front of Collingwood's goals.
Robbed????? you think the umps had a hand in turning a 9 goal lead into a loss? If you think that you may as well agree with the eagle wanks who thought the ump was the reason why we won last week
He was shot - there were a string of plays before he got subbed where he just could keep going with Daicos. Phillips did a great job, but he is a power inside mid, and Daicos is one of the best runners in the AFL, and they moved him to a position (Rotating HB/HF) after half time where running is the name of the game. There is no doubt that if will could of kept up clarko would of kept him in because up until he got fatigued he did a great job.
@@Blight-fp3vt The sub was made at 3-quarter time. Phillips would have been rested. Should have waited 10 minutes before making the sub. Daicos turned the game in those first 10 minutes of the last quarter.
Correct, an absolute ridiculous decision. The last North could afford was to let the most dangerous player in the AFL off the leash. Naicos must have created at least 4 goals for them just in the last quarter. Sorry Clarkson, but that decision is on you and that cost us the game.
14-24 free kick count the Scott touch ball on crisp non review non holding the ball on Daicos and then two Collingwood players run over the mark when the umpire never said play on 🤯
Saw on Ch9, They're Looking Into the Over The Mark, Non 50Mtr Penalty!!! 😢 Heard that Last Qtr Frees Were 12 to 2 In Pies Favour! I'm Screaming ROBBED!
So proud and happy for the lads to see that they can compete right to the end with a reigning premiership team. 19 goals 4 behinds will win most games 99% of the time. No chocolates today, but the belief is back!!!
We don't know how to hold a lead and that was summed up by the fact that I STILL thought we'd lose at HT. We also were reamed by the umpires in the last 5 minutes despite getting a good run up until then. That Scott non-50 was the worst last-minute decision I've seen since Blicavs wasn't called for HTB against Brisbane. This fucking hurt. Collingwood were not the better team. Against any other team Collingwood don't win that. Fucking brutal. Can someone please get it into our lads' heads that they have the power to pull away when they have the lead? That the onus is with them to crack in and win the game for their team? Because their first instinct is to go into their fucking shells and it hurts us time and time again
@Burningthunder90 We're not fucking tanking a game in which we're 50 points up, mate. It was a decision I questioned at the time but maybe Phillips was struggling to go with Daicos. His tank and pace are well-known. Ultimately we had our fate in our hands and let it slip
Best game I've been in attendance for the last 4 seasons. North's effort also commitment to the hardball get was dominant most of the game. Toe to toe North was able to send shiver down the spine of Collingwood in which they seemed to go into damage control. Collingwood after half time ramped up Exploitation tactics Umpire manipulation and pushing boundaries of rules super experienced sides will train to do this to have edge on another tough opponent but was on full display against bottom of the ladder. North not only opened up Collingwood like a book to the other 16 teams the experienced gained for North is enormous despite results a huge win within itself.Well done North keep up effort and Heads high . Proud to be a Supporter GO ROOS!!!
Focus focus great leaps forward today The attack was very successful early We stumbled in the 3rd qtr a few costly turnovers at the half forward position let them back in Reality was that Hill was just too good for Archer I don’t think anyone else could have held him either to less in our team But take his game away and we were home I don’t think there are any other reasons today Archer will be a good player but today he learnt a lot about giving someone too much space to move
He wasn't able to keep going with Daicos. Particularly when dacios got moved, he just fatigued rapidly and started losing the ability to reach the contest.
3rd vs 18 th 😂😂😂😂 get up with the program people 2 hrs beforehand nobody would of predicted that game In a few more weeks once Teakle settles in we will be a lot more competitive I’m a believer now
@@bdawg3942This isn't the thread to react like this. It makes you look like a damp squib, trying to drag everyone into a pit of despondency. If you want to criticise, fine, but if you want a smidgen of respect for your views, don't attack every optimistic insight with your own blind tunnel vision of gloom. And the OPs insight was completely valid, and bears greater validity than nine tenths of posts here.
🙄 I’m a realistic squib then 👍 So let’s beat WC minus our equivalents of Sheezel & LUD with them kicking 17 pts and then lose the un lose able today…. Gotcha 👍
@@brendanh8193 bdawg is here every week hating on the club. Could choose to stop supporting the club, but gets more joy from trolling and posting negativity
Best Game For Sometime Yet! Lost It After Massive Lead, Like Clarko Said The Players Just Don't Know How & Won't Til They Get More Games In Em. Must Keep Playing Like Today From Now On, Win Or Lose etc.
Luke mcdonald would have to be the biggest liability I've seen on a footy field just smiles with that head on everytime he gives away a free of turns the ball over.
We also chased as hard as we ran forward Teakle was a good in Larkey has less to deal with with him and Pink in that was the best we have played all year except we lost
I'd replay that last quarter to the players, again and again. For everything good thing they did in the first half, they cancelled it out with laziness, turnovers and poor decision making in the second half. Most of Collingwood's goals came from free-kicks given away by North players just in goal range. I can only believe that this was some sort of testing exercise because the subbing of Will Phillips unless he had a broken leg was brain-dead.
Their structures broke down, they stopped chasing and Collingwood could spread the ball and they'd have a free man there. In the end Collingwood could just go down the middle and wait for a free-kick goal.
Well spoken all facts that matter Phillips was running out of steam a lot of games in the twos different tempo altogether and cmon Roos fans Daicos is an absolute gun hard to stop a gun all day does anyone remember a guy named Carey 😂no impact sometimes then suddenly 10 mins 4 goals same same
learnt nothing from last weeks eagles comeback. Why can't they run out a full game? these are supposed to be professional athletes coached/trained by professionals, get your shit together or this club is going no where
Failed at the big test. Great game and such a shame but the scars will be long lasting. Cannot finish a great start - can be chased down. Will not win another game this season
I can honestly say that this is the second worst game I can recall, just behind the 69 point capitulation to Essendon in 2001, 54 point lead to lose the game, idgaf where you are on the ladder, that is unforgivable, I've always been a proud nmfc member but I'm fkn done, this is it, I'm out. Get your money from some other schmuck!
Shit attitude Lunch!!......fair dinkum, both of those games were sensational examples of aussie-rules football at it's very best. As a supporter you should know that this game is ruthless and often decided by inches and the bounce of an oval ball.
Abysmal and atrocious, you fight hard all game then just blow it when it comes to the crunch,. Coaching staff have a lot to answer for, doesnt matter how inexperienced yu are you dnt lose a lead that big, piss weak, gutless, especially the last few posessions, wtf was that? Cam shouldve went for goal
@@imalwaysright of course they are going to tick it off as a correct decision.. once you take possession of the ball in anyway and depending on the umpire or a overruling umpire 200 metres away calling a overrule who knows, that’s what is destroying this game!
@@John-nl2kt the 50m wasnt controversial tho, thats 50 anyday of the week and should be called any time, the holding the ball could have gone either way, completely different situtations
@@cohenpeters7200 yes I agree but that is subjective. And not definitive as we have had so many rule changes. Mid season , I have no beef against North Melbourne winning, it’s only every week we have this discord. 👍
