Italy also took the kick from the wrong spot. From the correct place, it would have been an easier kick. Did no one notice only me? The infringement happened about 5m to10m closer to the French goalposts. But with the Italians jumping about and celebrating they lost track of the correct place. Also, the French water guy standing in the middle of the pitch was scandalous. Play should not have been allowed to resume while he was in that spot. Then there was a 2nd fake rush by a French player with 5 seconds left on the clock. So many reasons that the shot clock needed to be reset and that this kick was missed other than it falling off the tee.
Andrew Conway, Tadgh Beirne, Oli Jager, Nick Timony are recent/current players who went somewhere else and improved. Carbery got the Ireland contract and game time when he was injury free but never had the long injury free run.
The ship is not fine. Opposition have been poor to date. We might get a better test in the last two games but could have to wait until the summer/autumn.

@@patman142 I think Farrell man managed him very well, rehabilitation really, it's a pity he did not have the relationship to pull him off the pitch at that point. Driving standards is fantastic, being a pure leader is great, but at some point the team has to come first and the coach is responsible for that.

Jordi Murphy made a mistake in an Ireland game and I suspect Joe Schmidt was never gonna pick him again and with the back rowers coming through at Leinster he probably would have gotten very little game time if he hadn't moved.
The Stade player doesn't make a single jink, side-step, shimmy or dunmy. He simply runs in arc with a nice chip ahead and gets the bounce with no defence at home. Good speed and nice try. It's not that this is anything more. Why are parts of the media are trying to make it out to be something special?

It's going to be interesting to say the least. If Ireland manage to get the two wins in SA, bok fans will have to admit Ireland are the number 1 side, irrespective of world cup results. If SA win both games they'll comfirm their status as the best. In all honesty, the top 3 sides- SA, Ire and NZ, are all on a similar level. They're 50/50 games at this point in time.
