"His [Rudolph] buildings have always connected on an emotional level. They were always designed to appeal to you viscerally in some way. To appeal to the senses, not just to the intellect."
SarasotaMOD 2018, Celebrated the Centennial of architect Paul Rudolph. Keynote speaker, Paul Goldberger: Pulitzer Prize-winning architectural critic for The New York Times, The New Yorker, and, currently, Vanity Fair.

Goldberger is so brilliant as an interpreter of architecture. You wonder why you like something, and he'll help you understand why. Rudolph's work was remarkable and praiseworthy, serious and also visually captivating.

An excellent presentation by Paul Goldberger about the reason Rudolph's work continues to resonate today. Great work by the Sarasota Architectural Foundation for preserving his work in the region! To see all of his work around the USA/world - see a map of Rudolph's work on our website here: www.paulrudolphheritagefoundation.org/project-atlas which has links to almost 10,000 images from our archives.
