Jay knows how to answer a question and tell all these interesting stories from just one question

Back in the day when he was training to reclaim the title. I happened to have a sales trip to Vegas so I email Jay and asked what gym he worked out at. He kindly responded, said he couldn’t make any guarantees if he would be there but told me address and approx time. I showed up and he wasn’t there… kind of messed around was gonna purchase a tank top. As I was leaving in came walking Jay! He looked like a real life walking he-man action figure! We chatted at the counter, he took a pic with me. He dosent say much like he mentioned 🤣 but honestly it was enough, i was intimidated and nervous… I felt fat and tiny at the same time. Lol… but seriously Such a chill nice dude! So months later… it was my wedding anniversary and my wife had found his email and she emailed him told him I was a fan and she had the picture blown up. She mailed it to him, he signed it with a nice note and mailed it back!! With that man’s busy schedule I seriously can’t help he did it! Never asked for a fee, nothing! He just did it because I was a huge fan. I have the picture framed and it’s hanging in my gym.

Jay Cutler may be the all time best representative for the world of professional bodybuilding. Great podcast!

Jays perspective on social media is actually really insightful. His dvd’s with Mitsuru were really incredible, in the sense that it was more genuine. Jay was in fact all business, and definitely lived like a monk. With social media, a lot of guys do it themselves, as everyone is their own PR agent. Which is fine, but I can’t get into it. I still think muscular development is still an important outlet still, because they recognize talent , IN THE SPORT, alongside the “lifestyle” aspect as well. I kind of wish the battle for the Olympia dvd’s were still going strong. It’s just a different time I guess in terms of bodybuilding success, I guess that’s what it boils down to.

Jay cutler is the best of all time. I remember picking up a muscle and mag magazine in like 2000 or something like that and seeing jay and Trish on the cover. That was when I was a fan. Reading the mag but also a foldout of Trish was probably the reason why I got it lol. But I followed jay ever since then! He was so damn good! Hats off to you jay and especially flex! 💪🏽

Great conversation! I met Jay in the early 2000s when I was a competitor and Flex as a spectator in 2015. Jay was the hottest new pro and Flex was expecting his first child. Both guys took time to talk to us and were fully engaged. It was everything you'd want from your bodybuilding role models. Thank you both for that time. It meant a lot to me and was a truly genuine experience.

When I was competing I met Jay at some of the local shows around the country but at the Olympia 2 years ago in Orlando I got him to sign my Olympia medallion I also got Sean roden to sign it for me a friend of mine stepfather makes all the trophies for the Olympia and the Arnold Jay's a stand-up guy. I remember flex posing in a picture with Joe weider he must have been 19 and I said boy this guy is really going to go somewhere. I had the pleasure of training at the dragons lair in Florida and flexing alley were really nice people.
