My brain has just expanded from watching this video, didn’t know old magic lore was so deep and interconnected.

If Dakkon with the blackblade is a pb&j sandwich and Dakkon without the blackblade is just a pb sandwhich and not having the blackblade causes Dakkon to loose his shadow... that implies the existence of shadow jelly.

I have loved Magic for a long time, but I have never really gotten into the lore. You have single-handedly made me interested in the story and the theming outside of just a great game. Thank you. This is adding sooooo much richness to the game.

I think it's a nice touch that Gideon Blackblade and Dihada, Binder of Wills both grant the same abilities to creatures on the cards. If we didn't get a card that explicitly showed Gideon entering his afterlife, I'd expect Dihada to have brought him back - though I guess Theros afterlife is like you're not really even dead, you die, you get a mask and get teleported to the underworld, you leave the mask world and take off the mask and you're fine, it's all very confusing. It's also cool that Piru was a mardu dragon and Dihada's second card post-dragon-eating is Mardu despite her first card being Grixis, it really shows how important all that lifegain was. If Dakkon Blackblade is still alive, does that mean that Carth is still alive? Dakkon keeps him hooked up to a machine like Mr. House in his basement just so that he won't die, that'd be funny. Great video and looking forward to more
