How much I miss this game... I do hope, like many others, they make a remake from this game. My favourite rpg game from that time. For me is even better than final fantasy...
Tip for farming other items: each x percentage on multi use item gives different loot, as long as it is the final attack. So you can throw a item and then do every percentage until you get the drop.
@@PHY51C15T simple terms: RNG manipulation. Sachet kills Unique Monsters one hit (it deals 10 damage) there are only 3 you find in chest. there is only one way to "farm" them in game, via the enemy "Piggy" in "Home of Gigantos" but only to 1% drop chance. to manipulate that: Put it down to read health, use a Attack Items (magic) that has "multi" in its description, the magic has a multiplier via X button. every single percentage has a new RNG number and therefore the piggy could be able to drop it, if it doesn't drop at 100%, use 101% and so on. important to note is, the magic HAS TO kILL IT, if it survives, the rng stays for that round. it is a 1% drop for a insta kill item that grants you 3k EXP and a possible a rainbow dress. PS: there is no shop nearby so stuck up before.
I used to just use an autofire controller in the desert since that was the only location with overworld enemies that infinitely spawn. Go to sleep and wake up with max or near maxed characters and a good sum of money. Much easier and less of a hassle.
Blue bird is by far better to farm, it gives only 1/3 xp but is substantially easier to kill and does not cost extra time watching item animations or restocking items, it is found most common outside Giganto home where you dont get encounters unless you try. bonus points to it being far earlier in the game.
Also, farm piggies in giganto to get satchels and then find blue bird. Rinse repeat. Though you will still want to kill rainbow a few times for rainbow dress for female party members if you plan to use them.
So this is what I do for these birds, since I don't have any Panic Bells yet: 1) Equip Mind Crush (it has a chance to confuse), Bandit Boots, Bandit Ring, and his longest Addition combo to Dart 2) Give 'Speed Up' to Dart in combat 3) Use the rewind feature when Dart attacks - each attack in the addition is a different chance to cause Confusion with Mind Crush, so I try with one hit, if no, rewind, and repeat until the attack is done or until confusion hits. 4) Do what you do once the bird is confused. It's a bit of 'work', but takes on average about 6-7 min per fight. Haven't had the Rainbow Dress drop yet >.< - I am on the boat on the way to Rouge.
Once bird its confused try guarding, magic, items or attacking tho you wont do any damage the fight its scripted dont let the bird run away. Problem with this method is keeping him confused good luck friend.
@@EllipsisMark 00parts was already 80% consistent without save states though, the other 20% is first turn CC and run. Disc 1 Shana with Longbow and Wargods Amulet for 100% hit rate Haschel with Wargods amulet and Sallet for 80% hit rate Dart with Bandits Ring (Bandit Drake rare drop) and Sallet for 70 speed and 60% hit rate then you can use Magic Sig Stone and pray you hit 4 times Disc 2 Add speed up into the mix, drastically improving consistency, it however should only be used on Shana with 100% hit Disc 3 Get Dancers shoes/ring and speed down, however only the shoes will be of use, as you will want male characters for the sallet accuracy buff, unless you want to gamble with Meru at 50% hit and ungodly speed, or just use her for items.
Got to level 60 this way on emulator. It also s 182 rainbow birds from 50 to 60 on dart. Meru becomes a monster because she basically doubles her attack stat from 50 to 60
Could you use this to just rewind farming piggies to force drop sachets? Or is item drops locked to the encounter? I’m in Kazas so I’m still a ways away to test it myself
@@smartpenguinstransport would the Rainbow Bird rewind trick go faster if you got the Pandemonium item in Hellena so it locks the enemy on attacking a person for 3 of it’s turns, speed up/ wargod amulet Shana/Miranda?
@Sean Snodgrass The only way you can harm the bird its confusing him so he can attack himself or a sachet the fight itself its scripted if he runs away you rewind and try something else.
is it worth it? NO. the best grinding spot will always be the Death Frontier - either mindlessly mashing or AFK. just equip 2 therapy ring to anyone (so you wont get a game over) and Ultimate Wargod on someone who needs additions to master... then just mash X button manually or turbo button. if you have a turbo button function, you can do something else, while the game grind for you. remember to not turn off the sound, in case your inventory is full. youll hear that continuous *ding* sound.
The problem is, I already farmed 100k on 00parts and have casques, ult wargod/phantom shields(i never ended up using), and legend armor x 3. Took 3 days while I was sick. I get around 400xp atm and can just click while I watch videos on RU-vid. And I'm sure other fights later will give more maybe. Now, if the bird didn't run, appeared 50% of the time, and only took 4 physical hits? sure. It would be nice to capture him as a troll commenter during battle. He could piss off the enemy and distract them. That would be hilarious.
@@dewaynedurham9258 you only get maybe 3 or so and farming them is a lot more of a pain then this I farmed the piggies for a hr and didn't even get one
Im pretty sure the magic sig stone works on this guy too. Also..its a good idea to use Shana for these mobs bc she has highest accuracy, and with a few items equipped she can physical dps these
