I used to work in Mooresville and knew where gravity hill was, so one weekend night I took some friends from Bloomington for a cruise to gravity hill. Of course I had to prove to them that I wasn't in drive and giving the car a little throttle, I put it in neutral and we went up the hill backwards and they dumbfounded. They wanted me to do it again and I most certainly did because it definitely makes you feel out of place, it's always fun to discover something odd and rare. They all thanked me for taking them there and said they would never forget that night, I always had fun taking friends to places that are unique that they'd never been to before. Thanks for sharing this video Roger, it brought back a lot of good memories. You should go at night it has more of an erie feeling , take some friends it's worth the drive and just tell them your taking them on an enchanted drive to a mysterious place. JP from Little Cincinnati, Indiana.

I grew up near Greenwood, and heard high school kids talk about it, in the late 1980’s. Was glad it wasn’t an urban legend, and that I got to finally do it! 🙂

@@AdventureswithRoger there's an ancient sea bed at Lennard springs trail off of Lennard springs rd in Bloomington you should do a video on. It also has a good sized waterfall best observed during spring rainy season. There's a couple of caves and an awesome walking trail that runs through the whole thing. There's a couple of signs put up by the nature preserve that gives some info on the ancient sea bed there. There never a whole bunch of people there at one time because the parking is limited, it's very peaceful and beautiful, you could spend a couple hours shooting video there because there's so much to appreciate. A lot of people I've talked to have never heard of the place or even knew we had an ancient sea bed in Indiana. There is a wetlands with a dock and I've seen the great blue heron there, you should check it out man.

There is a "Gravity Lake" (a small lake or large pond) almost directly south of Gravity Hill that can be seen while driving along Indiana State Road 42 between Gasburg and Mooresville Indiana. A friend who lived near by and drove past the lake almost daily gave the lake that name about 40 years age, because the surface of the lake appears to be twisted rather than flat. If you drive south on Indiana State Road 42, from Mooresville, about 1 mile out of Morrisville, the road makes a large curve to the right, then goes almost straight west to Gasburg. When you pass the curve, If you look to the right (north), you can see the lake. The lake, however, is easier to view when traveling toward Mooresville. As with the Gravity Hill, there is no safe place to pull off the road to stop.

Gravity on its own is a mystery, Einstein had his theory, but it gave him fits, still waiting on that (theory of everything)? When I was a dumb kid,I was digging a hole,like I did all the time for some reason? I uncovered a vein of gray clay, probably something in a state of decay? But I made the mistake of asking my big brother what it was? He told me it was gravity,he loved to screw with my head. So I set out to dig up enough(gravity) to make a sphere,big enough to make a small ball of brown clay orbit around it(not sure how I thought I was going to suspend it,fishing line maybe) but I was on a mission.I had quite the gravity mine in the works, that is until my Dad(a real miner) got home from work, surprisingly he didn't share my enthusiasm for the industry, he couldn't'see my vision,one that would surely make me and probably him famous,all he seen was the top of my head, and then the big hole I was standing in,proud as I could be,grinning from ear to ear. Unlike most disputes between labor and management,there was no room for negotiation, no mutually beneficial agreement, no contract ratification.Not only did talks breakdown, threats of bodily harm were thrown around by management,resulting in the closing of the worlds first gravity mine,in Dad's yard anyway.

There may be one of these roads in every community I suppose. There is one in Park Hills, Kentucky, near Covington. I can't remember the name of the street. We used to have fun there rolling "up the downhill slope" in neutral. Of course, this is always an illusion, but fun when you are in high school all the same. We would use half empty bottles of beer like a spirit level, laid on the roadbed. Can't imagine where we obtained beer at that age.

My son and I went on Friday. It was very busy. But we did it. I tried it coming from the East first, but there was too much traffic. I noticed going West how hard the car pulled to get up the longer portion of the hill. Going back East, I was able to try it better. Of course we experienced the "reverse gravity" going up the short portion of the hill. Let's just say that I think that a surveyor would be able to explain what is going on there.

Thank you for once again showing me Indiana’s mysteries. I wish I still lived there so I could visit more of them. I would really enjoy going backwards up this hill! Amazing! I enjoyed the map that showed all of the mound builders sites. I believe the Book of Mormon is a record of their people. Wayne May has done an extensive study and is on u-tube. There are others also. I wonder if you have ever looked into this. It is fascinating and goes along with your research.
@AdventureswithRoger
@AdventureswithRoger 5 месяцев назад
The Book of Mormon has many serious historical issues, that bring question to everything else in the book. It mentions many specific animals living in North America, in antiquity, but the Spaniards only brought them in the 1500’s. There is zero evidence of these animals in the North American fossil record, as they simply weren’t here until about 500 years ago.

There was a place near Mishawaka Indiana where you could bring your car to a stop, put it in neutral, and it would appear to roll up hill. Was it an illusion? My other uncle was ran over by a tractor, and they all thought he was dead. Grandma told the other brothers to run and get the healer lady. Ley Lines exist in the 4 Corners area as well as on Salisbury Plains in England. Some believe they are a grid. You are more accurate ... They are also random. There is a field of noticable energy.

I was going to do that, and put a toy truck at the bottom, to see if it would do the same thing as a big metal car. There is no place to park unless you can convince one of the neighbors.

We have gained a lot of knowledge that likely was lost long ago. It was probably felt by our forefathers because they didn’t have all the modern distractions. Eventually we may connect the dots once again.

That’s a great point about distractions.

This is crazy, because when I saw the title, I thought, "Wow, someone did a video of Gravity Hill", but it's not the Gravity Hill I know. The one I know is near New Paris, Pennsylvania, and it has been featured on the local news stations and in the local papers. Everything is the same as in this video, except it is, or at least was, a dirt road last time I was there. I just found it on RU-vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VgO6QPEt4mo.html

There’s quite a few gravity hills, across the world. I’m hoping to find one close, that doesn’t have as much traffic. I’d brought a level and even a toy, to do some light experiments. But a vehicle went down that road at least once every minute, there was no safe way to do it.

best place to launch into space on the planet is central India because they have the weakest gravity across the landmass of the planet.
