- I felt that pant zipping with Bolin. -love the way Korra avoided being electrocuted, i think is important showing that she's not just muscles. - Naga is best girl! ♡

Another thing to consider about the storytelling. They gave you a bunch of scenes of Yakone bloodbending some of the most powerful bender and them being helpless against it. Then they show you Yakone's son doing the exact same thing, and Amon RESISTING it. It really emphasizes how powerful Amon is.

Amon walking through the Blood Bending is the most terrifying thing in the show. Like Blood Bending has had the most all time creepiest and craziest moments. Then Amon just straight up says fck your Blood Bending I cant be stopped

God I forgot how great the season 1 villains were of Korra. They did drop a hint of who Amon is but it may not be very obvious. Anyway, love the content as always!

Energybending was kind of a deus ex machina in ATLA, but I'm glad that it has consequences in LoK. If Aang had killed Yakone, then there wouldn't be a Tarrlok.

Fun fact: Toph is voice by Kate Higgins aka Sakura from Naruto in the English dub and Yakon is voiced by Clancy Brown aka Long Feng from the original series and Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob

Lin is MVP When i first watch this i was shocked that Tarrlock wasnt Amon but this episode also gave away his identity. Bloodbending is most likely the most powerful bending style in the show. It can easily take anyone down. Makes sense Katara made it illegal her being one herself. Mako.... Yeah... He annoys me during this parts. Poor Asami she deserves better. Also Naga deserves all the snacks.

I'm a little surprised no one noticed/ or mentioned, that the two creators of this show did a little voice acting cameo playing the two equalist guards. It was the two who were talking about the train thing being empty and the other responds, "You think?". I've heard them so much on commentary I was excited about that. But Amon, is someone truly terrifying.

Fun fact: Asami was envisioned as an Equalist spy when the show was conceived. The manner in which she entered Mako's life and Hiroshi's support for the Fire ferrets are very likely parts of that storyline which made it into the final cut

Aang actually got bloodbent in the last airbender at a young age so it’s not a surprise he gets bloodbent here. Plus he wasn’t a fully realized avatar at the time to nullify bloodbending

Amon's name comes from the word "amn" which means peace and safe in my native language Really matches his idea of creating a safe world for non-benders

Amon comes from ancient Egyptian, Amun/Amen, their highest god who is black was named that and it's still said at the end of prayers.
