I really think that walling in ranged stuff is super underutilized. Mangonels, Trebs or Monks may be sooo much harder to kill

If he walls a mangonel phosphoru will just make his own mangonel and easily kill it since it won't be able to move. I think his only hope is to make just enough eco for constant knight production then stop making vills like t90 says.

They played a lot and they're great games. Now there's a ELO gap as red started streaming and lost some points while having fun with the stream so it's 2k vs 2k2 and might not meet that often.

as low elo, you shouldn't stop. thats a more advanced technique, because there is no optimal time. its all a trade off.

lts an idea. but I think like T90 said, if he just made more Knights, because of the rams the monks aren't as effective. he already has double the eco, just make more army to fight the woad raiders and they can also fight the rams.

also getting forging for the knights is so good here

Timing + Speed

Phosphoru needs a castle to protect his units anyway. He would need 2-3 Barracks to reach the production numbers of the castle. He would need to research supplies. I'm not sure Supplies pay itself back over that game time. He only made 30-40 woads. He would also need to research MAA and Longswords. All of those barracks techs would really harm his timings Longswords aren't as fast so they can kite and avoid contact. Not sure you thought that through.

@@micahbonewell5994 For someone who says they are unaware of how long a tech takes to pay back and then say a it would mess up timing is illogical. Then to insult me by saying I did not think it through, when you didn;t is quite rude. Supplies, MAA and longswords are 505 resources. Adding in a second barracks makes the cost equal to a castle. So timing is not an issue except. You have MAA to protect villagers moving forward. The upgrades can be researched while advancing to castle giving a faster attack. Barracks will be up much faster than the castle. You also have the ability to make pikemen against strong knight civs. I did not see the greater speed being a huge factor. In contrast you add flexibility with pikemen, 40% more units and no lost timing. You can add a castle latter but the bottom line is woads are not a great unit unless you are against meso.

@alandavid823 For Bulgarians, I would look to try to strike with free MAA and scouts with discounted forging. The MAA are to kill villagers and destroy military buildings. Scouts are to chase down archers and skirts. You don't want to extend Feudal too much as there are no eco bonuses. If you do enough damage and can reach a castle first, stirrups knights can be spammed for a quick win. For Japanese discounted eco buildings allow you to get an early attack in Feudal, but you are vulnerable to mirroring archers. A tower rush will help you tech into yazama. Likely if you are going heavy on attack expect a counter attack rather than defense. CA at home are great again knights and crossbows. Both are better than Woads.
