They should make Link a transmale for one game and then have him transition to his rightful (male) body just in time for the final battle so people will take the hint that he is the reincarnation of one particular male hero from the birth of Hyrule, since apparently showing the adventure of that hero in Skyward Sword wasn't enough for people to take the hint.

Officially, TP Link can take the form of a Sacred Wolf. Theoretically, it doesn't "need" to be TP Link. You could always just think of it as summoning a Sacred Wolf. Although, if I recall correctly, the exact term used was Sacred Beast. Actually, you may want to check zeldapedia, because I never actually played TP. I only watched a walkthrough for the GC version. Since I couldn't afford a GC, I tried saving up for one to get TP, but then Skyward sword came out. So I ended up getting a Wii with SS and Brawl. I think I'll get TPHD and play through it now that I have finally finished WWHD to 100% completion.

Im also glad that they are using this art style. So many games use realistic graphics which is fine but these immerse you in a fantasy world. I tired of realistic and gritty grayscale graphics that this seems so lively and fresh.

Most Zelda fans are ofcourse happy for that graphic style, it wouldn't feel like Zelda if it was too realistic. I don't think that the problem with other "realistic" games is that there are too many, but the gameplay is usually bad in manyo of them. THey focus too much on the graphics. 1. Good graphics will make you buy the game. 2. Good gameplay will make you play it. (Zelda is here)

It isn't that they no longer look impressive. Games today just look relatively the same.

What I like about Zelda games is that each game usually has a different art style unless it's a direct sequel. Twilight Princess went for the realistic graphics, so they used a different style for this one, which reminds me of anime.

It's actually become much easier to buy them this last year. I always see the ones I want in stores.

None of them are discontinued. Nintendo has gone on the record saying this more than once. They have different production cycles since all of them can't be in stock at the same time all the time.

If they would make too many amiibo and nobody would buy them, they would be in serious trouble. And none of them are discontinued; it's just that many of them aren't shipped until they have a big enough stock so that they won't pay over and over for shipping.

No. You can in Twilight Princess, but it would be very cheap and lazy of Nintendo to add wolf link as a playable character rather than a combat pet.

The only difference between making Wolf Link playable rather than a companion seen in the programming would be that rather than being AI-based, he'd be input-based. It's hardly "cheap and lazy" as both take similar effort.

Katlin Ginner We don't know the plot/lore of this game. For all we know, this could be the same Link as seen in Twilight Princess, and boom it suddenly makes sense. Rehashing ideas is what makes a "staple" of a series. When you think of Link, you think of a green-tunic sword-and-shield badass, as that's how he is in every single game. It's rehashing concepts that makes a series a series. That being said, Wolf Link's cameo is due to an external object, and as such, is not canon. I'm merely stating that it could easily have been made canon, if they had Link transform rather than have Wolf Link as a companion.

I can kind of understand amiibo to a point. Sure you have to buy them to get certain content, but this would be content that there wouldn't be otherwise so it's kind of like buying DLC that has the possibility to work with multiple games. The fact that they are figures makes another great point. I'm guessing people wouldn't complain if Nintendo sold normal figures as collectibles or toys, so Amiibos are kind of figures that serve more of a purpose than just being collectibles and sitting on a shelf. I personally don't feel the need to buy Amiibos like some people do, but I can still understand why they are so popular. That said, I am considering buying one of the BotW Amiibos, probably depending on their functionality whenever they are revealed.

well that's the stupid thing. we've been wanting more toys forever, but these are tiny, expensive, unarticulated figures that contain a gimmick that you should rightfully just have in the game in the first place.

Yeah, the content is in the game already, but to actually get the full use out of it you have to pay extra for it. They're just getting every chance they can to make that extra dollar. It's total crap companies can make a game now, just wait a month or two and then release an update they had from the beginning probably but still charge you for it.

I would buy Amiibos even if they didn't do anything because they are just neat on their own, the fact that they do stuff in game is just a nice little bonus. You are looking at it the wrong way.

As cool as that sounds, it might not be possible if Link is to be his established name for this game(as shown by the female's voice in an earlier video) Now, if many names are recorded to be used for the protagonist(instead of Link), it might help further the idea of Link being the player. However, this is a demo for now, so we'll have to wait and see what the future holds

Not all females have noticeable ones, and some (especially if they were in a time like Link's) would bind them to hold them as close to their chests as possible to prevent them from getting in the way. But I get the sense that you're referring to Link's shirtless moments in this game, which would break the logic that this Link is female. However, the creators of the franchise themselves say "While Link is canonically male in our eyes, we purposely leave Link ambiguous. This is so the player can assign whatever gender to Link they want to feel more of a connection." (Paraphrased). They said they've been doing this from the start. So, in a way, anyone who gender assigns Link (in any of the Zelda games) any gender at all is right. As a male, I see him as male. As agender, my sibling sees them as agender. We're both right in our own Zelda file universes. (Sorry for the text wall! :c)

If I can recall correctly, they actually said that there will be some music, but there will not be many of the different music that we're use to, because it was too difficult to make it stick to different areas. Something to do with the size of the place and not knowing which new area the character passes into; I can't quite recall. (Look for the interviews with the creator; it came from his mouth. T.T) I do, however, recall an acute sense of heartbreak. I seriously hope that they can find a way to do it, because it felt strange to see Link running in the fields without having an over-world theme. And not a single chest opening song (but I did stop watching E3 after four hours, so I may have missed it.) :\

Yes and no. For smaller areas yes. But imagine traversing the same region for an hour and having the same music on loop the entire time. For those areas they are probably relying on ambiance. Natural sounds, like wind, and birds etc.

Twilight Princess takes place after Majora's mask, but this takes place after Windwaker. So it's either just a regular wolf companion that is simply a reference to TP link, or it's more like Twilight Princess Link came from the alternate timeline to help.

I don't think this has been confirmed to take place after Wind Waker. True, the Koroks are in this game, but there are also elements from Twilight Princess as well. So, it hasn't been confirmed of where in the timeline this game will take place.

Also at first I thought this was after windwaker as well but the fact that there's Bokoblins maybe its after Skyward? But my theory is that this is at the very end of the timeline, possibly tying all 3 together because of all of the references and all the technology.

I've played TP and enjoyed it. :) There's definitely a combination of Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, and Wind Waker elements to this game. We won't know for sure until Nintendo reveals more info later on. As for tying all 3 timelines, I don't see how that will work. The timeline is already confusing.

AwesomeGirl86 Well of course there would be Skyward Sword, that one is most obviously set before it. It's possible this could be the world being reclaimed between SS and OoT, but I doubt it'd be SS link. However, my money is still on it being set after windwaker. Not only by merit of the korok's, but that the deku tree's new purpose would be expanding to fill in the land one day bringing the lands and people together again. The elements you're noting from Twilight Princess are related to the sheikah, unless you have something else that I'm unaware of in mind, it seems to me that anything remotely referencing twilight princess only looks that way and is in fact directly related to the sheikah. We'll see where they place it though, I guess.
