Yeah like, Mipha's family is still around, Daruk has his son and his city, urbosa is basically a legend or even a goddess to the Gerudo, and Revali just doesn't seem to have that, even if he is remembered by Teba and the Rito. I feel bad for him, but he probably hates pity.
BowserKing Actually, if you look a little closer, you will see how insecure he was. He convinced himself that if he didn’t push himself to be the absolute best, no one would take him seriously. So he kept training his skills until he had proven himself to the elder. Instead of something egotistical as a prize, such as a statue or some form of monument, he asked for the flight range to train himself further. Also, quite possibly for a place of solitude. You can also understand him being a bit pissed off that after dedicating his life to be his best possible self and then being given a divine beast, he then learns that his only role is to give support to a somewhat unremarkable knight just because he has a special sword. He mentions that at one point he tried talking to Link properly only to be met with stoic silence. It’s normal to think he was being rude and not worth his effort without knowing Link’s baggage. Revali is an egotistical douche, but that’s not all that he is and he has reason for it

Opal64 I expected "The Champions Ballad" DLC, would have let us either relive our memories with them before the Calamity or time travel. I mean time travel was present before this technology was founded, and memories seem to be simple for the Shika to restore. But NOPE U GET A BIKE BITCH!
@@SystemOverload It did say that Zelda was avoiding him by going into Gerudo town, but then it said that Urbosa taught Link of a way to get in and out of town without issue. It didn't expressly say he cross dressed, but it was heavily implied

It’s sad that Revali thinks no one knows who he is because it’s been so long, but little does he know all of the Rito idolize him and want to raise their young to be equal to Revali’s skill. That hit me in the feels.
I really like the line, "My prayers are with you as well." because for those of you who don't know, in the Japanese version, Mipha's ability is called "Mipha no Inori," which translates into Mipha's prayer.
Honestly I wish there were more chances to hear their voices other than just when the abilities charge up. Like they're keeping an eye on you, pushing you on.
And I thought the closest Mipha came to yelling was when she says, "We shall not fail!" when the Champions attack Calamity Ganon. I was wrong in a different way than I would've thought. She DOES yell. Really loudly. 4:04
I love how, now that AOC is out, we know al of the things they talk about are indeed canon, and you can see them happen 100 years back in the game. E.g. you get to fight the linel on polymous mountain with mipha
If I’m being honest Revali is my favorite champion (besides link of course) but I think he has the best character design of the 4 champions and I like his smug remarks

Having a silent character with loads of backstory REALLY doesnt work. It was fine in the other games because a lot of the game didn't really hinge on link's past the way this one does. You've got all these characters pouring their hearts out, reminiscing about their time with him and he doesn't say a word. It's so awkward.
