I love how Gapora reacts when Link asks about the triforce. "Link, where did you learn that word?" Sounds like a corncerned parent that heard their child curse for the first time. xD
"Your parents clearly have excellent taste in names!" ...I can't help but recall RabbidLuigi's Let's Play of this game, where, as in every Zelda game, he used the name "Jackass." XD
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks the Wind Fish is descended from Levias. There's just too much resemblance; I'm surprised fewer people notice.
I wish Levias had been hinted at earlier, like maybe people in Skyloft would talk about him, or maybe you could see glimpses of him in the stormy clouds. If he's such an important sky god, it's weird that he hasn't been mentioned up til now. Also, for a boss fight in the air and all that buildup with the new move, I wish your Loftwing was more involved, instead of just being a short first phase. But oh well. Sky Whales are still really cool. I'll still miss those stormy clouds.
I know Chugga doesn't normally cover weird stuff like this, but I would love to have seen him mention/show the ability to skip the first phase and go straight to fighting the Bilocyte... *WHILE IT'S INVISIBLE*
I was a little bit thrown off when you said Bilocyte like Bill-o-kite. I assumed it was Bile-o-site, as in bile and cytoplasm, both kinda yucky sounding biology related words, which just made sense to me as he's a parasite
Can we just appreciate Gaepora's trust in Link? He's denying him information on what's going on with his daughter and asking that he just take his word for it that she's fine, and...he does. Give it a few years, they'd (potentially) make for some fantastic in-laws.

"Starting off this fight with Billokite" Um, Chugga? Pretty sure that's supposed to be a soft "c" in Bylocyte. Like Parasite? Along the same lines, that first "y" should probably sound like long "i"
AirSonance Correction: It's "Bilocyte" You are correct that the "cyte" part is meant to represent "parasite," and that the "i" is a long "i". It's meant to be a combination of Bile (as it spits up its attacks) and parasite (as it controls its host), with weird spelling because fantasy.
LaSharcus No idea how many hours he spent practicing the Spiral Charge, but damn. I have never seen anyone knock out the first phase this quick! Those moving targets are a pain.
LaSharcus I hate the levias fight. Learning the spiral charge is tedious, even though I'm really quite good with the bird, and the speed at which levias moves makes the fight really annoying.
took me about 50 minutes on the bird race. surprisingly, I did the spiral charge test on my second try. I guess my skills improved over the hours I played.

One thing I do like about Skyward Sword is how it managed to put in little nods to nearly the entirety of the earlier entries in the franchise without being overbearing So with that in mind I was very happy with this segment when I first played through the game. Not because there's anything especially compelling about the game, but because Bilocyte and Levias are so clearly references to Bellum and Oshus from Phourglass, yet manage to feel like a natural addition to this game's narrative. Even the boss fight structure with ship-to-ship eyeball smashing and the sword tennis segment scream Phourglass.
Glad to know that not only could I call impa the awesome grandma but now I can call Levias Gramps and hey now the thunder head won’t almost make me piss myself now
It's a cool fight, but I'd much rather have bird-back archery. One of my favorite things to do in Ocarina or Twilight Princess was get on my horse and try to shoot stuff while I was riding it. I do the same in Breath of the Wild. Think about how cool that would be. A lone man riding his bird through the stormy skies, trying to take down a sky whale infested with parasites with nothing but a bow. They could have a feature similar to breath of the wild, where time slows down when you take aim. Lot better than just flying at them.
There are tropes in every Zelda game (e.g. "It's a secret to everybody"). I think pumpkin soup became one. The yeti had it in TP, it's here, and you make it for someone in BotW. Kinda cool.
About to get into the third visits: easily the worst thanks to the water dragon being a dick and Eldin Volcano being repetitive again, but at least Lanayru pulls through with a great section as it always does
Just make sure you do Lanayru last because of a game breaking glitch. If you do something wrong on Lanayru's 3rd visit, you can screw yourself from getting the other 2 parts. I think the trigger is talking to Goron doing the excavation, but I still wouldn't chance it.
I remember liking the Faron and Eldin quests a lot when I played this in 2011, actually. I was younger, though, so my memory may very well be failing me lol
Wait… At 10:51. That's what became the cooking sound effects and jingle in Breath of the Wild (with some improvements, of course)! I didn't think it had appeared in an earlier game, wow.
This boss fight is extremely disappointing. They give you this amazing flying whale creature, and instead you're just fighting some dumb looking eyeballs with an equally dumb parasitte creature. They really dropped the ball in my opinion.
would have been cool if after A round he went back into hiding and you had to hit his other eyeballs again. Each time he makes Levias do more evasive maneuvers and possibly even attacks
Chuggaa, that was the worst Break the Targets performance I've ever seen. It completely slipped my mind that the rainbow island was plot-important. It's been longer since I played this game than I thought.
Fun fact lavias is in hyrule warriors and he flipping puts part of skylight back together after FI HERSELF HOLDS THAT GIANT SOUP THAT WAS IN THE GODDESS STATUE
Sorry Chugga, but you are wrong again. Skyward sword was the first game to have exactly five bottles, but A Link Between Worlds also had exactly five. Sorry to point that out.
I just adore the design of Bilocyte. Coolest looking eyeball boss in a Zelda game! And it's movements are so creepy. Reminds me of a Beholder from Dungeons and Dragons.
I really hope chugga does eldin volcano first. That is my favorite segment in the ENTIRE game! Also, that boss fight gave me SO much trouble, I could not figure out that I had to use my sword instead of my shield to destroy the wings(?) next to its eye. I kept shield bashing to no avail.
Given that the largest "barnacles" are spots where Bilocyte's eyes and head emerge, it would seem that they're not barnacles, but parasite-infected skin and scar tissue. Poor sky whale.

Fun fact time You actually do not need to destroy the eyes on his body if you just land on his back it triggers the boss to come out... except he is invisible but still beatable.
A Link Between Worlds also has 5 bottles. The only 2 games to have a unique number of bottles in the franchise are Majora's Mask at 6 and Majora's Mask 3D at 7.
I have a theory that the Ocular Parasite Bilocyte is the origin of Bellum's power in Phantom Hourglass the same way Demise is the origin of Ganondorf's power. Levias says he was appointed to the role as warden of the sky by Zelda. I believe that he may have been a regular levitan whale living in an ocean somewhere when he was young before he was appointed and given the ability to fly. The deal with Phantom Hourglass is that Bellum wanted to drain the life force of the ocean king and become powerful enough to rule the sea. I think that Bilocyte may have used a similar technique to possess Levias as Bellum since he did have the power to possess Linebeck at the end of the game. In addition, Bilocyte didn't seem to have any connection to Demise or Girahim meaning it probably had its own motive for possessing Levias. I believe that Bilocyte had hopes of ruling the sky by living in Levias' blowhole while he was still living in the ocean until it spread enough to be able to take control of his whole body. In plantom hourglass, Bellum had the ability to make eyeball clones, especially in his one to one fight in the temple. There's also the fact they both look like some type of sea creature and have numerous eyes. Do you agree?
For further proof that Skyward Sword has awesome music, Levias's boss theme is one of the best in the whole damn franchise. It's fast-paced, energetic, and menacing all at once, fitting for a battle in the middle of a raging Thinderhead (no matter how long or short it might be, depending on your skill with the bird). Bilocyte's theme is alright too, but Levias's theme is still the better of the two.
