Skyward Sword is underrated imo, the swordplay and gameplay are underrated because it has plenty of depth. The fact Ghirahim can pull your sword out of your hand adds more depth because it requires the player to be incredibly cautious. I could go on and on about how it has the best swordplay ahd combat in the Zelda series but my god is it’s gameplay ludicrously underrated. Yes I’m aware of the “filler and padding arguments” because to be brutally honest those never held up well because the padding and filler in this game barely feels like filler. You want filler? How about the Zora eggs, or the owl statues in Twillight Princess? Or the amount of forced mini games like the yeti racing, goron sumo, bird bug hunting, Zora earring minigame, or the forced wagon escort mission. Or let’s talk about OOT filler like the saria song, or the hyrule castle stealth section, or the dampe race. Hell let’s bring up BOTW and it’s shrines, Korok seeds, Gerudo outfit stealth section, goron escort mission, forced rito mini game, etc. Or ALBW and it’s forced stealth section, getting the turtles, the thief rupee quest, etc.
