This game is Nintendo, and gaming as a whole, at its absolute best. Nearly everything in this game is fun and engaging. It's very rare that a new game will draw me in for hours at a time, especially when the engagement is entirely up to the player

Imagine having so many 10/10 ratings you have to stuff them all at the END of the accolades trailer. This game is legendary.

I haven't even touched the story, and I even forget that you can go to the sky, there's so much to see and do in this game, it's epic. 10 out of 10.

When I realized why the game was called "Tears of The Kingdom", I cried. Beautiful story. Get all the memories, it is worth it.

Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time. I'm only 20 hours into Tears of the Kingdom, though it already tops it in a couple ways. I'm still baffled that this even runs on this hardware. My PS5 and Series X could run circles around the Switch, but I'm still more enamored with TotK than any big AAA game on the market. TotK is amazing!

Very well deserved. Regardless of what anyone says, you guys did something a lot of other game developers are in awe of.

It's amazing that they threw in a bunch of 4.5/5 and 9.75/10 when they have no shortage of perfect 10/10 scores

It was well earned! The team that worked on this game are all very talented and I’m happy that I get to play such a fun game and find new things! My friends and I can’t stop talking about the funny things we have done.

300 hours in finished all the region phenomena labyrinths outfits two fairies and have one dragon tear left this game is so deep i need more

I've played it for over a week and to sum it up, I'll just say: "Worth it."

Congrats to all of the incredible developers and to Aonuma for delivering yet another masterpiece that we will be playing and discovering more of for years and years! You have completely blown me away yet again in ways I thought were going to be impossible for reusing the map. Hope you all get raises and big fat bonuses!

I always thought BotW was the best game ever. TotK made BotW look like a prequel tech demo. Classic but amazing plot, awesome physical engine and gameplay. Played for 105 hours for 2 weeks so far, but still there are tons of things to discover!

It was worth the wait. So many ways to explore and adventure your way. I thought it would would of been hard to top the creativeness of botw but they nailed it with fuse and not just one but three huge areas to explore.

Calling it now: Game of the Year

The game is packed full of content. I’ve just been wandering the map with no clear path, and having an absolute blast.

Took me until about the 20-25 hour mark to fully realize just how massive this game is. I’ve finished 2 temples , got the master sword, 40 shrines and I’ve barely scratched the surface. It’s insane how large this game is 🤣🤣

I don't know what I should think of it. On one hand its really a fantastic game, but then I see that the dungeons are still simple and a far cry from older TLOZ games. The shrines still have the same visual design in all regions and are even less complex than the ones from BOTW. Most of the sky islands from what I've played are tiny and repetitive compared to the tutorial section and if they have something interesting, its just a bring orb to position x shrine (there are way too many of those). The music is still too sparsely used (atleast compose tracks for the leadups to the 4 main towns) and many tracks are recycled from BOTW even those that were disappointing like the winter theme but when it kicks, its god tier. The story structure is still the same (4 main areas, collecting memories instead of a invested story experience, main baddie still waits for you instead of doing something). Mind you, I'm 3 dungeons in and I didn't complete all the quests yet, so maybe it will change later in the game. Overall I really like the game. But its flaws are pretty obvious and I hope this gets improved dramatically in the next TLOZ game.

By far the best Zelda game to date. Going to be really hard to top this

Its a love letter to the Zelda franchise and Nintendo as a whole. The combat shrine music (my favorite) akins to the SNES days of Mario floating on a rock through a lava cave in JUST the perfect way and it just oozes love to Nintendo lore. This game is a GOAT.

First I was thinking about giving Jedi Survivor my GOTY vote but now TOTK has earned it, it’s so much fun and the shrines are a lot more fun and well thought out, a lot of out of the box thinking ❤going to collect the tears today. And the quests to open the Great Fairy fountains were a blast 😊

After hearing the music of this trailer, the game should be rated 10

Can we get a setting to turn off the button layout overlay or make it align with custom button settings or an option to just say what the interaction is, some of us use custom layouts and they are incredibly distracting. Also a toggle sprint would be nice

This game is awesome. I would have liked some customizable button mapping though, as many games have a pretty standard button for certain actions. And I find myself pressing the wrong button to crouch or dash. That sort of thing. But there is no putting this down

This comment section absolutely passed the vibe check. Eiji Aonuma and the entire dev team has captured lightning in a bottle not once, but twice in a row! I don't think anyone will be annoyed about the delays this game had, when the finished project is so damn good! YOu've done it again!

I just finished the main story. 10/10 is WELL deserved. They took everything from BOTW, tripled the size, and added an amazing story. Unbelievable.

A true masterpiece! I finished it yesterday, the final boss was very hard! The story was great, the gameplay was great! I loved visiting old locations, and exploring the new ones! My only confusion with the game is that I don’t know why the game doesn’t start at Divine Beast Vah Ruta, considering the final cutscene of BOTW.

For the DLC please make ganondorf's health bar even bigger!

OoT was my favorite game of all time ever since I was a kid, with BoTW being a veeeeery close second. I can confidently say that ToTK is now my favorite game of all time.

I hope they release DLC for this game. If they do, I'd prefer to have at least 2 DLC packs. Those would be: DLC 1: Tarrey Town Customization Expansion 1. Provide more rooms, decorations, and customization for Link's house overall. Imagine a records room that displays everything to complete as well as your progress all in a book at a desk. There could be more ways to customize the outside of the property with pathways, plants, or other decorations. 2. Expand on Kilton's stage idea by giving him a new area in the construction site. With a larger space, Kilton would be able to have multiple stages. Imagine being able to customize each stage for a specific theme like Death Mountain caves, Gerudo Desert, Hebra Mountains, the Depths, etc. It could also include decorations for the stage like a large skull rock or wooden stakes for a monster base. Instead of having to destroy the figurine for more, Link could somehow use his Autobuild to rebuild any monster figure that he's created before using Zonaite. It'll be like Windwaker's Nintendo Gallery Figurines, but you can create your own setting for them. DLC 2: Post-Game Story & New Boss 1. I haven't finished the game yet because I want to 100% everything, but they could add to the Sky Islands a bit more. There's a lot of empty space on the Sky map. It'd be interesting if more large islands appeared. Gerudo Desert Sky, Central Hyrule Sky, Eldin Sky, and the areas above Necluda Sea, the Forgotten Temple, and Lanayru Wetlands are all pretty much large empty spaces. They can come up with something interesting like they did with the Sheikah boss in Breath of the Wild. It'd be cool if we got some information about the Minish, but one can only hope.

Can’t wait to play this. I never got into the Zelda franchise so I hope this is worth it

I have about 50 hours in the game. I actually cannot find a single thing I dislike, and furthermore, a single thing they didn’t improve upon. My game of the year. Absolute masterpiece.

I think this is the best game I've ever played. Well Done Nintendo, I'm constantly dropping my jaw and picking it off the floor, I've never been this immersed and engaged in such a complex world. I thought Breath of the wild was an excellent, amazing game but Tears of the Kingdom really built atop that foundation and sprouted into a monumental achievement.

I have to say that this game alone has been “the next big thing” in gaming recently. And I’ll dare say that since it’s release, it has surpassed the anticipation and hype as far back as when the PS2 was released. When the PS2 was released that was a literal game changer, now to have this game on an already aging console and surpassing sales of games in Next Gen consoles speaks volumes about how this is a gaming marvel.

My favorite ah moment was when I got a magic rod and I wasn't quite sure what to do with it I was still getting used to the fuse mechanic. But anyways I got it by defeating one of those wizards that float around in sky. Anyways whilst playing around later on. I picked up a star fragment. So you know just because I could I put the star fragment on the magic rod. Use this the next time you're in the depths. you're welcome.

The music and gameplay is absolutely 10/10. I will absolutely vote this game in goty

@Nintendo of America Hello, I really like all of your games, especially the legend of zelda games. I was wondering, would it be possible that you do a "the legend of zelda 3D all stars"? Basically, it's the same as super mario 3D all stars, which contain the games 64, sunshine and galaxy. So, I was thinking that a the legend of zelda 3D all stars could be really nice, probably including majora's mask 3D, Twilight princess and the ocarina of time or any other 3D zelda games that didn't got a place on the switch, unlike skyward sword HD. I think that a game in this style, which could also include the playlist of the 3 games like super mario 3D all stars, could be really great and bring a lot of joy to all of your costumer, and you already have something like 90% of the work done since it's just a game containing 3 already existing games. So, in addition that there is not a lot of work to do, I'm convince that this game could help you make a lot more of money. You could sell this for the price of a normal switch game or make a price a little bit higher and it would still be a hit. For instance, personnaly, even though I finnished all 3 games in super mario galaxy on their own consol, I bought 3D all stars and enjoyed it all the way till the end! Also, with all the person that I know that own 3D all stars, they already played at least 1 of the included games and still played to the end like I did. In short, this game could make you a lot more of money with little to no work, while pleasing all of your fans. P.S. the game doesn't necessearly needs to be called "the legend of zelda 3D all stars", it could be "the legends of zelda 3D all rupees" or anything of your liking. The only bad thing about this game is that I cant play it outside of the switch, its the first game I’d ever give a 10/10, since no game is perfect, but this just continues to exceed my expectations the more I play, and the story is the best ive seen in a game this year. Legendary.
