Same. I bought BOTW and Mario Odyssey at the same time, tried both, and went with Mario. A year later, I tried BOTW again and played it for a month straight. One of the greatest games of all time. So excited for TOTK!

Fun fact in the original game. The minecart floating machine glitch was found months before release. Aonuma (the guy in the video) said to keep it in as its fun…. It sure is fun

This is something I take issue with tbh. Because that's not a game... That's a gimmick. It's cool when one crazy guy does it on YT, but not cute when an entire team of professional game developers present it as 6 years worth of labor. That's bad you guys, it's really bad. Zelda was the OG Soulsbourne lol. How did From Soft only manage to make every new entry better than the previous while Zelda is now relying on gimmicks to sell. That's a fall from grace, and a tragic direction for a very pristine and high end franchise. Keep in mind they're not "updating", they're just making gimmicky stuff. It's Minecraft or Just Cause when players break it. Monke simulator. That's unbelievably bad. Of course that's if the entire game is like this as opposed to actually having value, but we haven't really seen anything so far and I'm just old enough to realize that only seeing is believing when it comes to video games.

And if you look at the dude’s heats, you can see that he only has 4 indicating that he was just showing what seems to be post tutorial gameplay. Also paying attention to what he said, he mentioned more gameplay elements, story, other things that they weren’t able to show. I understand keeping a jaded look on things like this, however tLoZ literally has a heat after heat track record. There not being any actual changes would be a first of its kind.

yeah, well it sucked. if they had the fuse ability in the first game it wouldn't suck, cause then it would have an actual purpose. at the end of the day it was a tedious game mechanic that they seemed to have resolved without removing it with the fuse ability

i always kept like 2 almost broken weapons for emergencies. When you throw them at an enemy it does double damage when it breaks so its reak good when you're in a pinch

I made chain reaction traps in Zelda BOTW. Not because I had to, but because I could. I treated weapons as ammunition. Use some low quality "ammunition" to kill a high-level enemy to obtain his high-level "ammunition" and repeat the process. Weapons are everywhere in BOTW. Even crafting materials can be used as weapons. You can't walk 5 seconds without finding another.

@@susanthejew6351 I think many would argue that you're wrong and tell you to try BOTW, Now I have I have mostly seen others play it but I would go bananas on rain and climbing and but most of all the durability scale weapons have. It's like playing diablo 2 and all weapons have 2 in durability and breaks constantly, and you can't even repair them, you gotta find a new damn weapon! They really need some better blacksmiths. A sword should last a few fights? Years? No? no.. okay..

To consume a potion they would have to show the pause menu that's kinda spoilery

idk how ppl say weapons break every fight...ive only broken a few weapons (once i got my stronger ones they rarely broke ever)

I get the design of it but I have to admit I rather not have my weapons breaking. This new fuse ability might make it a lot better tho because you want to experiment with many different weapons.

They really need to do some kind of badass link to the past remaster it's really gritty and dark and had a pretty cool plot plus it's Def the best Zelda

The increased durability by fusing is a really nice addition though. I do feel they broke too fast in BOTW to have fun with the really strong ones.

In some screenshot you can see Link can hold some batterys,and the screenshot of link driving a car can see the car has a big battery too.

I hope the battery capacity will increase depending on how many fans u have, it seems very restricted mechanic

Twilight princess has the best ending fight imo, it was so epic and it made such an impact on me. Would be so cool to see amon play it

The only unfortunate thing is that they’re tied down to an old console so the graphics are really outdated at this point. Other studios are just gonna copy all the innovation and slap it on to a current gen console game.

​@@ymw1107 A lot of companies/developers were inspired by BotW and made their own open world game. Genshin Impact, being one of the most obvious ones. There's going to be developers that will be inspired by TotK and will try to create their own weapon fusion mechanic in their open world games.

@@Best_grass I mean, it's possible. Having higher tier weapons being fused with other higher tier weapons would create even better weapons. It just wouldn't be the same fusion mechanic as TotK, where you can fuse your weapon with an object in the open world, but having a basic fusion method that simply relies on fusing in a menu would work

and now botw (and totk) have overtaken them. (Maybe not story wise, as twilight princess was much darker than majoras mask and more fun to play imo) But THIS is what Zelda was meant to be, and I am so happy that the creators lived long enough to make exactly what they dreamed of. Im glad they had the courage to make the first one and i am super blessed to be alive to play it

Though I do agree I do wish they'd have a bit more durability. It really dampens the feeling of finding a cool new weapon because you know in a couple of fights it'll be gone.

Do you not own a PC? You can emulate all Zelda games and after playing botw at 1440p 60fps going back to the WiiU/Switch version is basically impossible. I did beat the game on my Switch before trying it on Cemu and I wish I played the full game on PC instead.

Nintendo always makes some new shit no one else would think of, then they drop it (mostly) then other people just copy and make a better version later. But they are almost always the lead for innovation. For what the company does a lot, them being the lead on it is why they even thrive at all

Genshin isn't the same kind of game, it's completely different and has its own story and gameplay mechanics and niche. The elemental aspect of Genshin and character combinations for your team builds is the major part of Genshin, and BOTW doesn't have any of that stuff. It also has tons of boss fights and combat you can do and is continually being added to.

@@tuba3000 or, hear me out, you can use whatever weapon you want to use when you want to use it. I played on PC and switched weapons whenever I wanted to play with a different move set. I don't need the game to force me to change. It's a stupid mechanic. If I want to play with a sword, what is the difference between having one that doesn't break vs having 15 in my backpack that has the fragility of a stick. I would naturally change weapons when I got a stat I wanted or one that looked better than my last one.

@@uchihas1995 except it didn't change the whole game. I played with the weapons I wanted to play with. Elden ring is an amazing game that also throws weapons at you constantly. I picked what weapons I wanted to play with, they never broke and it didn't break the game.

Funny thing is botw, horizon zd and nier automata came out around the same time, and botw gets all the clones, neir gets all the cameos(shovel knight crying), and horizon gets all the shit to the point it's remaking itself faster than any other game. At least last of us remade crash. At least re is still releasing new stuff. All 3 we're good, but the most futuristic one is the most to stay in the past.

Zelda with bubblegum and duck tape. We will get the same old short shrines with 70 iq puzzles. The game play looks really underwhelming and to be honest unless there's some really bad ass puzzles this hardly looks fun. Also ill get tons of hate but botw was good , but the game really wasn't THAT GOOD like all the fanboys say. top tier zelda was link to the past, OOT, MM, WW. Most of the game was about a 20 hour experience for me , and that was all 120 shrines, minus all the dumb korok grind ( first zelda game i didnt 100%) Now about the hardware, Switch was already old ass hardware when it came out now its 7 years older and yea, some of the games make up for the graphical short fall but the switch really does look like shit compared to literally any thing else , especially the PC. Now if Nintendo actually wants to compete into the future they need to start releasing on PC, every one else is starting to. If they don't well ill just pirate their shit and enjoy the games in 4k 60. So Nintendo , do you want my money ? or do you wanna cater to stupid whales and dumb outdated old fashioned hardware and principals? or do you wanna step up and actually compete in the real game space?
