Thanks to my fourth grade English teacher, Miss Tsehainesh, I had the privilege watching him perform live in the seventies, while I was in grade school, at the Berhane's Hotel, was called (Enda Berhane Shahee), at the time, in the city of Adi Quala. I was so overcome with jubilation that I couldn't control my excitement back then. I remember, at the time, Our English teacher, Miss Tsehainesh, told my childhood friend & classmate, Nuredine & I that she could only take one of us in, because she had only one extra ticket & that we had to do, ( Bimbom Backa ), and whoever wins gets to go in with her. We did just that, & the winner was, yours truly. I got to watch him perform live all night. It was & still is one of the best childhood memories of my life. I still love & listen to his music to this day. 🇪🇷❤️

@Yacob-bn1jw You're forgetting that Italian language was taught in the entire country's school system, and not just in Asmara. My father and grandfather, God, rest their souls were the product of the Italian school system. My grandfather was one of the Eritrean soldiers in the Italian armed forces and was ranked as high as that of the rank of "Shumbash," the highest rank given to non-Italian soldiers, at the time.
I like legendary Eritrean musics as much I love my friends like Sawlih Ousman, Abdu Mohammed, Beyan Ata. To me my friends were precious than gold. They were friends of 1971-1972.
Not only are Osman's old songs/Music so amazing to listen to, but have such powerful meaning and sweet to listen to forever. I never get tired listening to them all. MAHBER THEATER ASMARA (MATEA) produced unforgettable great music & legendary talented artists in the 1960s & early 1970s. Osman Abdelriheem was one of the best musicians of his time. 👍 Thank you for sharing the beautiful memories.
