Yes it was just one season. But an awesome season!!! I have the DVD at home and rewatched it a year ago... such a masterpiece. I hate that there aren't anime anymore like this 😭😭😭

A new devil may cry anime is coming in 2025. I think you'd like the rage of bahamut openings. Also the cap anime season is packed full of amazing returning and new series (blue exorcist, arifureta, re:zero, shangri-la frontier, etc) so I predict you will be closed with requests once the new season hits.
