Chitra Ji's expressions at the start of the video suggest that they might have had a little fuss before the show. But then, Jagjit Ji sang with a mischievous smile on his face, and she had to laugh by the end of the video. Just a thought! 😁This so beautiful, their voices, the way they look at each other! ❤
It feels so sad that all these smiles were lost because they lost their only son after which chitra stopped singing and jagjit started singing only sad songs and gazals.
@@sunnyarora8015 I think he misused roasting it's a fun banter between lovers. Where both go back and forth but no need to get so aggressive bro if someone doesn't get your culture but appreciates it than that's nothing to get angry about.
American born girl here ! Heard this song the first time two days ago! So lovely cute and funny ! ! Keeps making me smile love it so much !!!! Our parents and grandparents had their Own cool way of having fun.
You should check out there biography what sad story of them the lost there only son in his young age Chitra was one sad mother 😞 my heart felt so bad for her when i heard her story...
I love the way jagjit ji looks at chitra and in sign language asks her not to sing the last line, smiling all the while. And then he sings "hun roz nahawaange" and then she smiles as if to say "you naughty guy". Such a cute couple yaar
Once i travel in train kanpur to Ludhiana i play this song on my Mobile ! That Atmosphere created this song in That 10-15 persons arround me all Praise me 😀
I played this one, plus an assortment of classics by Rafi Mohd whilst playing evening tennis about a year and a half ago. (Irving, TX) I had no idea until after, that we weren't the only ones enjoying it. Turned out everyone on the nearby volleyball court were South Asians. I think it made them both happy and homesick.
To be honest , Their love story is more inspiring .. they both supported each other in tough times and then they both became famous. In other cases, Already successful person chose another successful person.
I sung this song in my class my crush was also there that was the moment when my crush had crush on me because of this masterpiece ❤️ We are together from last 4 years !
Mai bas 20 saal ki hu . Mere dost pop song sunte hai. Maine randomly ak din ye song sunna. Or uss din se lakho bar sunn chuki hu . Or ab apne dosto ko v eski aadat lagwa diya h . They are not going to forgive all pop songs. Super song ever. Every thing is best lyrics, voice everything 💖

This song makes me blush and I can't stop smiling from ear to ear while listening to it. Specially the the line 'je tera hukum hove main ta dadhi vi rakh langa'☺️
The Teaser Click to see the original lyrics (Punjabi) Come to the terrace, would you? My Love, If you wish to meet, that is?! You can get lost if you don't..1 I would certainly be more glad seeing you than my friends, But there is a problem, I am afraid, if caught, I would be trashed. So, I won't.2 You are very mean! Have some shame, You have daughters and sons.3 All of my teeth have fallen now, You still do like me, don't you? Even when our kids distrub you a lot?4 Huh! There isn't much bother for love here. Go! I won't talk to you. You don't even have a moustache!5 Even I would like to taste a little love, I you'd order, I would even keep a beard.6 Would you come to the garden, Please! While I sleep, Would you mind keeping the flies away?7 Would you mind bathing daily? If you are so irritated by flies, You should also have a little jaggery.8 And now that we have found one another, We will live happily together, And sings songs of love for one another. lyricstranslate.com/en/punjabi-tappe-teaser.html
This is love. Jagjit sahab's expressions was lit. I can see those smiles in audience and I can see how lucky they're. After a long hectic day, all you need is this 5mins therapy.
Chitra ji has gone through a lot in her life. In 1990, their son died in a road accident. Then in 2009, their daughter took her own life. We all know Jagjit sir also passed away in 2011. Sometimes I can’t believe Chitra ji’s journey
26 years ago I was in hostel .. didn't have much money but always spent on his cassets ...his voice is just magical....tappe or gazals he was master in both..
The first time I saw Jagit and Chitra Singh singing this song was on Doordarshan in 1977. Over the next 20 years, peaking around year 2000, Jagjit's voice attained a divine level, unparalleled and unsurpassed.
@@rayaanali6139 I'm Disagreeing with his comment! Chitra and Jagjit Singh are Legends! They Were NOT ahead of there time! They were ment for 70s, 80s, 90s n Early 2000s! N That's the Era they were in! Legendary Time with Legendary People! So Everything was in place! Not ahead of time at all!
@@TheKing-jy5jr I understand. No one can disagree with that. I think what Yash Vishwa was trying to say is that Chitra is very pretty and she looks like she is from our era, from the millennial era.
90s के दशक की सादगी की बात ही कुछ और थी,आज कितना फर्क आ गया है।इस आधुनिकता ने हमसे हमारी सादगी और संस्कृति को नग्न अवस्था में लाकर खड़ा कर दिया है।। 😢😢
I Miss you Sir............... this time i'm cry because of whats a feelings in you voice and aap humare dil me humesha the aur rahoge Love you chitra ji and jagjit sir
If you are here that means you have great test of music. I don't understand the lyrics but still love the composition and the way both sings its amazing.
I have no words, this both are original legends, bs itna hi kahunga ki mera golden luck hai, jo mein yeh sun pa rha hu…mere bachpan mein wapis aa gya hu yeh sun kar😢😢😢😢😢 Luv u chitra mam…luv u jagjit sir…
These happy singers of 1979 were so sad in their sunset years. Life is very unpredictable. Such simple music, in simple setting, beautiful lyrics and the melodious voices. Today we are left with Guru Randhawas and Badshaahs in the Punjabi music scene.
Anti -Sikh and Anti-Punjabis (most probably South Indian Mafia ) killed Jagjit Singh & Chitra Singh's only son , so that they stop singing(& they succeeded), stop being famous. Just like killed Jaspal Bhatti and many other Sikh and Punjabi Artists.
Hispanic from Mexican parents here and I absolutely LOVE this music, ever since I accidentally discovered Houston's Masala radio years ago. It soothes my soul
Totally disarming and mesmerizing performance. India has produced many gems and legends. No nation in the world can equal the Indians. I am lucky that I lived in that era.
What a masterpiece this is. Seems like chitra ji is supremely underrated. She is just second to none ❤️🙌 And none of us can praise Jagjit ji he is beyond everything. No one can be as soothing as jagjit ji and in this particular song his expressions are just spot on. Glad that I heard this song❤ What a day it would be for all of those who were enjoying this masterpiece live with the best on and off screen jodi of all time.
What amazing talent, a beautiful couple, the most amazing voices. This song is sensational. God bless them both for giving us so much peace, joy and love.
Heartbreaking! First Vivek, then her daughter Monica, then himself. Poor lady. I pray God to give her peace and happiness in the closing years of her life
just see how subtle tricks he does while singing, creating an atmosphere and in the end what a coordination between the both giving the ghazal a nice ending. the great jagjit singh sahib
What is this ? I never used to love music but this is like straight from heaven, just pure heavenly music. It's so Beautiful, imagine how they invented this music type ❣️😍 just loving it 💕
