I love how Batman and Joker's rivalry is treated more like a romance than ever before. and I love the arc Batman goes through, learning to move on from his past and letting a new family into his life.
Unironically, this is one of the greatest Batman films, and I love how much of a love letter this movie is to the legacy of Batman as a character and how he's affected so many others. Will Arnett is INCREDIBLY UNDERRATED as Lego Batman. Fun Fact: Zoe Kravitz actually voiced Catwoman in this movie and coincidentally she plays Catwoman in live action in Matt Reeves's The Batman (2022). Another surprise casting is that Billy Dee Williams aldo voices Two Face in this movie as well, and that is especially cool since he play Harvey Dent in the original 1989 Batman Tim Burton movie and though we never got to see him come back to play the character and become Two Face, this movie gives us possibly the only chance of Billy Dee William as Two Face in a film
This movie is literally the best satire of anything Batman related. It has amazing references, jokes, and by the end of the day you just end up having a good time.
Not only that LEGO Batman has achieved the happy ending he and the Bat Family needs compared to other Batman iterations (where most stories ended on the depressing or bittersweet note), but he's powerful enough to roast Iron Man as his own password for the Batcave.
One of the greatest Batman and superhero movies ever made, not even kidding. Not only is it a truly perfect parody of everything that is Batman and Gotham city, it actually has a great story with tons of heart. It’s played off for laughs but it does genuinely show that while Batman is a loner his relationships are truly what define him. Hie surrogate father/uncle in Alfred, his adopted son in Robin, his friendship with Barbara, and especially his love/hate relationship with Joker. I’m so happy the studio allowed the filmmakers to make their gay innuendo jokes with Joker and Batman. All of us fans and even the comic writers have made those jokes or at least thought of them, but THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE of all things told those jokes in a truly genius and hilarious way.
As someone who grew up heavily playing the Lego games, the games have always had a certain humor in them and I love seeing that expanded in the movies. Theyre so funny😂
My favorite fun fact about this movie is that the directors are huge stand up fans. So they got a bunch of comedians to voice the villains. Doug Benson as bane, because he used to do a bane impression on his doug loves movies podcast. Conan as the riddler. Garfunkle&oats, as I believe catwaoman and the scanner from the phantom zone. And Billy dee Williams finally got to be 2face
I remember going to the cinema thinking this would be a lego movie with Batman, and was absolutely blown away by the comedy and the heart, genuinely one of my all time favourite "Family movies"
You gotta think about how kids would play with Legos, gathering up the greatest villains from the different Lego sets they have, like Sauron from their Lord of the Rings set... for example in the Lego movie the different worlds they run through after escaping the enormous Lego city the father built, theyre going through different Lego sets, and its why at the end when his little sisters allowed to play the Legos that show up are the more simple larger bricks made for younger kids Legos that show up to destroy them...
This is probably one of the greatest Batman movie! It's just so funny with the satire and so many cameos from the different WB franchises was just awesome!
I honestly think this film is funnier than the first Lego Movie, and that’s saying a lot 😂 And it’s surprisingly really heartwarming at the same time I just love that all the Lego Movies (yes even Ninjago imo) always try to be more than just goofy kids films, and genuinely have good messages and heartfelt moments
This is legitimately top 3 batman movies. Apart from the golden humour it has a batman story that actually focuses on his family and his grief, the only other batman movie that does that I think at least is mask of the phantasm, another amazing movie
So does anyone remember when this movie dropped and you could address Siri as the bat computer and it would speak to you like lego batman. Best feature ever!
Crazy how this nailed certain aspects of Bruce Wayne and Batman better than Dark Knight or even the Batman 💀 like it’s 100% a joke movie but there are parts that just HIT
Screen Junkies said they will never do an Honest Trailer about The Lego Batman Movie because “It IS an Honest Trailer”, there is literally nothing to parody or expand on that this movie doesn’t do itself.
My friend and I went to see the live action Beauty and the Beast but it was sold out, so we saw this. We laughed so hard we cried, and still talk about it to this day ❤
So glad to see you guys reacting to one of the greatest movies ever. As the DoD’s (unofficial) top expert on Batman, I can certify that this movie is nearly perfect.
Fun fact the writer of the lego batman movie did the beetlejuice sequel that came out, plus king kong and the t,rex aren't villains they are just animals
no hyperbole, lego batman is my second favorite batsy after Pattison. and my 2nd favorite voice of batman after Kenvin Conroy of course. will arnet killed it and the script/jokes are so good.
I liked Ninjago. Was it the weakest of the theatrical films? Yes. It was also a bit more directed toward a younger audience. But it was still fairly funny and worth a reaction.
yess i love the lego batman movie🖤💛🦇🤡 🖤💛and will arnett is both Amazing and fun as the voice of lego batman and the lego batman movie is awesome and with BATtastic of batman/dc references for the batman fans and it is epic!! and it's one of my favorite batman movie's and fun fact: the actor who voiced alfred also played voldemort in the harry Potter franchise(and also check out wreck it Ralph treasure planet the croods flushed away) and reel reject fam enjoy your week
There is a different, better, LEGO Batman flick, basically following the plot (and cutscenes) from the LEGO Batman video game. The director was even Burton.. but not Tim. Jon Burton. PLEASE react to it! Hardly anybody knows about it because of the big theater-released flick.
It's hard to believe that this is the first modern theatrical Batman movie to include the Bat-Family. Although I will say that while the movie is great, its depiction of Dick Grayson was really not the best. I'm sure I never loved Barbara Gordon part of GCPD.
