I want a second one that references Lego Island. I feel Lego City Undercover should've had a few nods and references to the first Lego game based around the Town/City theme.
Just a few corrections. Overall great video with a lot of great information! 6:32 in fact he isn’t the main antagonist of the chase begins, rex fury is. Also he is released for like 5 seconds before the other police officer grabs him lol. 7:14 isn’t that crane used in the level high steal 7:30 he actually doesn’t die as he appears again in the final cutscene
If Brick County gifted Lego City the Lady Liberty statue, and Dunby said "Bon Voyage" to Chase, could it be that Brick County is just supposed to be France?
little sequel concept i came up with seeing as this game was literally my childhood: set 10 years after the first game, chase has fallen from his prior glory. seeing as he pretty much arrested every single big time criminal present in lego city already, he was given several awards, but promptly moved to a desk job now that he was aging and the city was virtually crime-free. chase was (naturally) unhappy with this situation, as he would prefer to have a field role. all his requests to the new police chief (no longer dunby, who has since retired) have been denied - the new police chief doesn’t seem to care about chase’s past glory. chase would eventually resign from the police department, instead deciding to become a free-lancer detective in an attempt to relive “the good old days.” the game would center around getting various detective jobs, all of which correlate into some larger plot. not really sure who the antagonist in this theoretical game would be. rex returning for a third time would be a bit ridiculous, and blackwell returning from space also isn’t that believable either.
That concept honestly sounds perfect. If I could have one disguise/job added to Lego City Undercover it would be detective. The potential there with the open world and the mysteries they could pull off would be insane... In my opinion, if they made a sequel they SHOULD bring back Blackwell somehow. I wouldn't want him to be the only villain of the game though.
Did you notice that in this early game map, you can see that the island where Cherry Tree Hills is located was supposed to be accessible to the player in its entirety, not just its eastern part? I wonder why this was abandoned. What's more, you can also see that to the left of Fort Meadows there was supposed to be a road inland and a port?? To sum it up, it's a shame they gave up on it :(😢
I did see that! I wonder what they were planning to make there, and why they weren't able to finish it. It seemed like they defintley had to scrap some ideas sadly!
I’m not sure that the trees on Apollo Island are warped. I think they are supposed to be Mangrove trees that naturally look like that. They usually grow in swamps, and if Apollo Island is supposed to be a space center in Florida, that would make sense. The island is swampy.
ive done videos on unused vehicles and characters in lcu. it is in german but you can skip through it if you just want to see some of them. Btw. the crane is just unused in the open world it is used in the construction side level.@@EddyStevensonUK
9:00 this map reveals on the other side of the hill from CTH is an out-of-bound city, and the out of bounds place visible from auburn bridge is Tepino Springs
Nice video, I love how you spent so much time you spent on getting all the facts and I wish the remastered version had a DLC or a online mode that would have been sick!
Thanks FunBottle! I definitely put a lot of work in, and I'm glad it payed off in the final product! A DLC or online mode would be SO GOOD. We can only dream 😅
8:49 I don’t know how to word this but if you look over by Auburn/Cherry Tree Hills and Bluebell/Fort meadows we can see new areas that were sadly never added!! It would have been interesting to see them in higher quality and what exactly they are in the first place. (Also you can see in Bluebell there’s a lake over where the dam is. Im going to use the out of bounds glitch in Auburn and go to these places to see if there’s anything. Most likely not but I will anyway. All of this unused content is just so crazy to me, I would love if it was added to the final game, the RandomWizKid did a video too which I loved! This video was amazing to see! (Sorry for the long comment 😅) Love the video! ❤️🇨🇦
Thanks! I don't mind the long comment at all. I've also noticed many of those areas on the map that are empty. I wonder what places that had planned for those areas.
I would *kill* for that map of LEGO City, surprised you didn't mention the rooftop tennis players in the iceberg as well, or the unique drop-in animations for the second player
I love this game, especially for its open world, and I didn't know how detailed this game was. Hopefully I'll find the time to make some mods for this game XD
Thanks for the video! I couldn't even know that the bus was called "Epona", because I live in another country, and we were translated in a different way
my theory with the bus is it was removed because TT fusion didn't like the idea that someone would re enact bus hijacks with it, and also, because there is no school and no children in the city
That would make sense, although they've included the bus in other LEGO games so it doesn't quite add up. It's probably because there are no schools are children anywhere.
In "The chase begins" there is a villain that looks almost exactly like Freddy Flink, the master of Speed in Ninjago. Also, Derreck didnt die. He can be seen at the end of the cutscene behind the sheriff.
if you were talking about Derek the squirrel in your last part of the comment, we easily know that if we keep playing the game in story mode you will see Derek the squirrel again writing with Ellie's uncle.
One thing I noticed during my second playthrough of the game is that during one of the cutscenes at the start of the game ( I think its when the clowns rob the bank ), you get to see the inside of Forest Blackwells mansion. Inside the mansion he has the bell pepper emerald on display, even though we haven't stolen it for him yet. Probably just a mistake by the developers.
I feel like after you beat the story, you go back in time. Im guessing that because of the blackwell tower still being there. And also when its loading freeplay after the credits it says that your starting the first mission again.
Silhouette characters could be a reference to the early WiiU commercials that involve a building with mutiple windows in different colors with people playing the WiiU in different ways
1:58 Maybe Brick County is in France. Considering that in the real world, France gifted the USA the Statue of Liberty. And in this game, Brick County gifted LEGO City the Statue of Liberty. (This also implies that there was a LEGO City Revolution in 1885)
I unlocked the gangster early but launching up with Squaddie because Herigate Bridge is closed and I didn't unlock the robber and unlocked Grubby and Butch without the robber
Yesterday I asked if you could check if it was possible to get to the wiggler in blue bell national park. You replied saying that you would like to check if it is possible some day. Today after 3 hours of grinding, I discovered that it is possible and I took a nice selfie with the wiggler. Since I don’t really have that much of a channel, I would be happy to one day see you show the world about the wiggler. I have looked everywhere to find a video showing someone with the wiggler and haven’t found a thing. I think it would be a unique part of a future video if you end up doing it. I don’t need any credit for it! Keep up the good work!
4:55 the school bus appears in two cutscenes, 1 the scene where Chase meets Natalia after 2 years, and 2 the roadblock car chase cutscene, the school bus in an unused vehicle that you can’t unlock LEGO city undercover, however you still find it in LEGO Batman 2, did you also know in LEGO Batman 2 you can find the station wagon and a sedan and the wrecked versions of both these cars appears in Chan’s Scrapyard
7:13 There’s a list of other unused vehicles in LEGO City Undercover besides the Crawler Crane, there’s also a Combine Harvester called the Devourer, a police boat called the Drifter, a forest police boat called the Minnow, a Fire Boat called the Octopus in the internal files, and more
That footage was from someone else, so even I don't know how to play the box art map honestly! I'd love to help though, and I hope someone makes a video on it because it would be such a cool area to explore.
You can see on 8:50 the 4 locations that didn’t make it to the final game. It would be cool to see these locations only accessible by tunel, on the east side of the map
One thing I noticed you didn’t talk about but I’ve heard is how close this game resembles GTA in a kid friendly way but until you can’t fly planes or boats and the violence is very small but still a interesting comparison someone told me and I really wish I sequel to Undercover would happen because Lego City is one Lego biggest themes that has been going on since I think 2008
9:23 Why? It really just looks to me like they're referencing some variable named DLCNAME15. I see no reason for the 15 to refer to a price, it'd be really weird to keep the price in a variable name
Hey TTT I'm not sure if you already knew this but in the end of the 3ds version of lcu we only know that chase mccain was sent to the other side other world but in the Nintendo switch or xbox 1 or ps4 or pc version in one of he loading screens we can see that deputy dunby says he sent him to 'Brick County' if you see this thank you I love your content on lego games ,your so underated
@@TheTigeeTeam I don’t know if it was intentional. Because I don’t think it’s a good idea to reference a dictator. Who worked with hitler. In a Lego game.
@@TheTigeeTeam Yes, as if, first of all, in that, he got out of the water with shortness of breath. Secondly, he was in Huckleberry's office when Chase was sent to work in the area...
Yes, I am currently making part 2! It won't be called an LCU iceberg video, I'm just calling it a secrets and glitches video, but it definitely has a lot of interesting facts I could've included in this video.
3:14 Did you also know in the Natalia flashback scene, Natalia was also a journalist, before she’s a paramedic, so if you play as Natalia Kowalski, Dr Jones, Dr Smith, Nurse, Paramedic, and the Surgeon, you can crack safes as all these civilian characters
Kinda funny you mentioined that, cause I actually just showcased that in my newest video! It's a pretty cool secret, and defintley can be easy to miss.
Probably the reason why the characters are blacked out is because the switch can't render I used to play fortnite on the switch and let me tell you it was a nightmare
