This is the camera that you rent to use at your high school reunion or any reunion. You take as many pictures you can and post them wherever you can. If you can rent the car for the reunion, all the better. Everyone will talk about it until the next reunion and they will be looking forward to seeing you again.

Nice camera design. The new "grib" could be made available for other M10 models in black as it doesn't change the underlying chassis as the grip bump is built into the covering. The lens design is flawed as it was designed by designers that don't photograph. The lens hood has the design branded on it outlined in silver and black lettering. You can see in the video that light bouncing off of the silver and onto the front element. Imagine this outside under the sun. This will cause lens flares. The better option would have been black front for the lens with the black writing with maybe one Zagato written beside Summilux etc. Poor lens design choices in regards to the front of the lens. Other that this a very expensive collectors item for the rich elite.
I m a fan of Leica cameras but we live a strange era where we pay more attention at cameras and gear than at the photographies. Give a cheap camera to Alex Webb and tomorrow, everybody will buy it. I dream about getting a Leica Q but I can't buy it because its price represents almost 6months salary for me.
With the strap lug now being a part of the top plate, let's see how the tiny screws which affix the top plate to the camera body would hold. Especially if a Noctilux 75 is attached.
Leica verkommt immer mehr zu einem Mode Accessoire für die Neureichen dieser Zeit. Ein Traditions-Unternehmen was plötzlich versucht ihre Kunden mit überzogenen Preisen zu melken ist sicher nicht im Sinne des Erfinders (Ernst Leitz). Was ist aus der Liebe zur Fotografie geworden? Macht euch doch nichts vor.. 80% eurer Kameras verstauben in irgendwelchen Vitrinen weil sie einfach zu teuer sind um sie mit nach Draußen zu nehmen. Ich werde mir deshalb wohl niemals eine Leica kaufen, will doch nicht für einen Snob gehalten werden.
I believe it's crucial for their business. The have no shot at competing in the conventional camera marketplace. The guys currently on the board saved Leica from bankruptcy when transitioning into digital back in early 2000s.
Amazing video....showing us how great Design can be....very beautiful! I love the cars, I love the camera.... But has Leica gone totally bonkers? At such a price the cameras will vanish into the collections of the filthy rich. Nobody would dare to use them...anywhere....well, maybe in your own toilet after you have locked the door....in fear of having it stolen!!! I bought a Leica M6 because it performs great in all conditions and I don’t have to charge any batteries. I then got a Leica M-E so i could be flexible and fast with digital, too. I am therefore competitive professionally. However: this little lump of zagato will not get me better pictures, it doesn’t do it fast like an SLR and the only people who profiteer from my money will be zagato and Dr. Andreas Kaufmann. What happened to the picture, the image, the end product.....a print maybe? Shall I explain what that is? Leica seems to be missing the point....
No me gusta, me parece un espanto el diseño, no aporta nada estéticamente y mucho menos funcionalmente, como todos estos ejercicios de diseño destinados a coleccionistas que miran por el visor de estas cámaras con el ojo izquierdo.
Is that creepy looking guy with the shades supposed to sell me a Leica? Nah, thanks, I´ll pass.. They obviously see their audience in sheiks and rich hipster kids, I wouldn´t want to be seen dead with one these days. It´s a shame. On the other hand: it´s just business.
zeitloses Design, wie das der Leica zu "ver-beautifyen" führt ja doch zum Kitsch... ok Italiener lieben auch Kitsch, genauso wie dieses Wort. Ist schon in Ordnung und unnötig.
