After two busy diesel gala days it was nice to get back to a 'steamy day' courtesy of Clun Castle and her crew. The last (for now)of three extended 'Shakey's' this one started from Leicester and is initially seen after departing from Coleshill Parkway en route to Stratford. The additional lunchtime run to and from Birmingham Snow Hill is seen arriving & departing Tyseley from the North Warwick line due to a last minute route change. I'm reliably informed it was due to a failed 'axle counter' on it's scheduled Chiltern main line route.
I'd already chosen Tyseley so unlike some I wasn't affected.
The final shot on the return to Leicester was the climb towards Arley Tunnel prior to the decent to Nuneaton.
It was nice to meet Andy again at Tyseley ‪@AndysSteamAdventures‬
