@@flithbrin Yeah, I feel like he's used to having a way to hit multiple enemies for that boss, and didn't take into account that - with only one dying per round - once he went on the offense there'd still be at least six guaranteed increasing-damage attacks from the survivors before he could win. He'd have been better off killing two or three of them first and *then* tanking for the cool finish - it might have taken a bit longer, but would have kept things manageable for damage control purposes.
The angry tomahawk definitely is operating based of your percentage of health (or possibly missing health) not total. The tomahawk was hitting for 5 a peg, and your health was above the default 100.
I belive the tomahawk is based on missing total health rather than a percentage. Midway through the video a t3 tomahawk was worth 13-16dmg @ 14/115hp (12%) and at the end it was 18-22 dmg @ 19/155hp (12%) and 19-23dmg @ 7/155 (5%). Looks like about 1dmg per 7hp lost.
@@Loreroth Damage per health lost is definitely my favorite way of doing that type of boost because it can spiral out of control a lot easier and is more fun that way
@@Loreroth Well thats answers the question then. Wish the game would just say this. "add damage for every 7 lost" isn't that long to write in the description. Some of the others are way more complicated.
The Egg relic needs to be given to the Peglin cook in the castle. If you don't find 'em before the 2nd boss it's useless. Took me ages to get both events in the same run.
You probably want to have some Ballwark available when you're using a build like this because you can use it to prevent damage while keeping your health low.
It's also handy to use against the Slime boss because it activates on every peg and only breaks when it hits a _solid_ peg, so you can get it to chain down the side for some decently big heals as it passes through that long vertical line of slime pegs (like the Daggorb does at 6:26).
I'm the guy that updated the Peglin Wiki, because it was way too much of a coincidence. There's a bunch of relics and orbs that have been named after creators. Prime Rod of Frost (Frost Prime) and Aliens Rock (Alienroc) are the prime examples. Seeing as you have the most watched videos of Peglin on RU-vid it'd be silly to suggest that they didn't name one after you. It's too damn close not to.
Have you heard the tragedy of Peglin, the fool? It's not a tale strategy guides would tell. Ironic, isn't it? He had a relic to save him from lethal damage he recieved, but not damage he inflicted himself.
Tom really had 3 strike and he's out there at the end. First the purple QR code missed, then the belt saved him the first time he would've died from hitting pegs, then he hit another 25 and just died
egg is for peglin chef, not haglin. it does nothing special outside of the ? areas in the castle, otherwise its just a weak heal but does have some nice synergy with morbid.
Figured to drop another comment. Found an Orb I can't seem to find any information on by finding a golden Peglin statue. Giving him all your gold, you gain Ballectrum. It creates copies on every peg it hits along with counting every peg as if it had gold in it. Gold build is even more insane considering this new? orb.

"People were saying we could give the egg to Haglin, I do occasionally pay attention." True, because about half this statement is correct, but it's the Peglin working in the kitchen, not Haglin, lol
The egg goes to the baker, Tom, not the Haglin. The baker only appears in the castle level, and will normally offer you a bribe of one relic. If you get to the mines without seeing him, you can just use the egg, since its useless at that point.
Tom, the Egg is for the Cook you can find in the castle. If you give the cook the egg, he will give you the Cake Relic. Which was +50 Max HP IIRC. By the time you hit the Castle boss, you can just use the Egg for healing. As you can no longer find the cook afterwards. 24:08 I never thought about using the Summoning Circle to get around the "only once per combat" rule. I wonder if you could make a build out of it?
I'm convinced Tom prays to the Peglin gods before he records because his runs always seem to be fair to him. When i'm playing the game fucks me over nearly every second fight or navigation
May I recommend aiming for a self harm build? I think there are 3-5 different balls that work off of the damage you inflict on yourself and several relics, or at least 2 or 3 really good relics for the build
Ohhhh boy you’re gonna wanna play this again today, new update, new events and orbs, plenty of cool stuff. Hell you might already be playing it but there’s a new orb that has something to do with money, and it might very well be your new favorite.
I dont think the wiki description or the in game description are actually correct about how the Angry Tomahawk works. Neither description sounds like having a higher max health would affect it but it clearly does.
the easiest way to blow up the 'chest' bombs is to have both the wick for one hit bombs, as well as enhanced gunpowder to have them activate nearby pegs, so the first bomb you hit will activate all the other bombs.
wether tom sees this or not The cheff only appears withing the castle area its just quite a bad healing item... but its free, the relic u get for giving it to the cheff isnt too great imo either
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1367 OOOO the Glass Cannon Build :D, been looking forward to this ha ha XD God, I tell you, Tom do be suffering from success with all these heals, right until that end, god XD, an amazing end, so damn fitting XD Oh, if the Angry Tomahawk is a reference to Tom that would be amazing, I got excited seeing it on the wiki, but after reading it seems even the wiki isn't sure XD ha ha, cool if it would be though, and I bet it is as it makes too much sense Yey, Bouldorb's coming back, it's been too long :D Shame we didn't get to see the Egg in use, interested in that myself. But my god, the strength of my internal scream when Tom accidently fired it XD good lord
You could pre-load Starfield on the steaming PC(s) to play that when it launches next Wednesday and play that with Ben on stream, I'm personally sick of FTL streams even though I think FTL is a great game.
