Instead of letting “I don’t know what’ll happen” be the reason you don’t pursue an idea, it should be the reason you should absolutely pursue. We don’t grow as humans without it. Nothing in this life is 100% predictable. It only becomes a negative if you don’t learn from it.

You need to get on the Extreme Ownership train. Read The Advantage too by Pat Lencioni. You’ll be dialed in hot.

Priceless lessons and thank you for sharing. What the critics can never really know is what you would've lost or what it would've cost you to stay during a burn out crisis in your life. You took the break and change of scenery you needed to regroup. You entrusted the ship to a team of trusted people who you knew wouldn't wreck it. They may not have made the best decisions or the ones you would've made, but they kept everything afloat and moving while you were doing what you needed to do. They were a blessing when you really needed one. Now you've got the wind back in your sails and the future is bright and full of opportunity you couldn't see when you were burned out. The experience was a mini chapter and a much needed one and it's a great thing to see how you've processed it. Such wisdom here. THANK YOU.

I applaud you for doing the right thing for you and the company. It's ok to change your mind. There is a purpose to everything. God bless you, your family, and your business. Thank you for always sharing your truth.

Sounds like the direction BPN took to Nashville just wasn't the right move for them but it was made with the circumstances presented at the time. Pardon me if this insight seems regurgitated but I see where the brand is going now - a personable (relatable) brand that promotes the idea of nutritional supplementation in various sport athletes not exclusive to bodybuilding or long-distance running. I appreciate Nick's honesty and vulnerability with the selfishness towards his family. Think about it, successful businessmen tend to have ego-centric/narcissistic tendencies in order for the business to thrive. That was what he knew and was honed into at the time. I think this is a great lesson to be learned as a man - the redirection of the importance of family and learning how to adapt to the eventual changes life throws at you. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to sell the company down the road to spend time with them. If down the road, the timing is right for a new startup, I can see him popping off somewhere else too.

Respect , this was very similar to my situation & story . Moved from Florida to Nashville to pursue my barber career and didn’t go as planned . Definitely a learning experience & so glad i didn’t hold my chips & played them to see for myself . Lost majority of money from moving and everything but so glad i did it now redirecting back on course . Thank you for this Nick . Go one more 💪🏼

Great message. Spot on. Thank you for the confidence! You are not alone. As a 43 year old company president and COO, we are all learning as we go. Leadership is about making decisions. Vision and standards are two items that cannot be delegated. Proud of you Nick and I needed your message today! In the same trench! Let’s roll!🙌🏻💪🏻

Thanks for sharing. I can get stuck in my ways and afraid to make changes at times… Took this from a previous video of yours… “Change brakes the brittle… don’t be afraid of the change!… ‘change is not a threat, it’s an opportunity’- Seth” - too funny as I typed this while watching this podcast you just referenced this!

Been following you since the 20,000 cals challenge, and the last pie you finished to ending you day with "whining" feel like crap. I can't experience how you feel, but just show my little admiration to your pure courage buddy. all need to paly our chips than hold it, just someone do someone don't no matter outcome. Go one more Nick.

Wish I heard this 19 years ago when I moved my wife and 1yr old out of FL to GA because I wanted a change and like you was running away from things. 6 mo later I asked her if she would like to move back. After the look she gave me I never asked her again 😂. Not true, I bring it up every winter.
