She has a right to tell her story! At the end of the day Bebe is a man, and he is not perfect ,so all you holier than thou saints & sinners can stop with the madness! This was her reality not yours!
I don't see anything wrong in her story. She seems to respect Bebe. It is honest to say he was not there. She admitted she did nit communicate her feelings. Does that make either one of them a bad person? No.
Exactly. I’m saying to myself “if she was so unhappy in the relationship why didn’t she tell BeBe”? To use the church as an excuse for her failed marriage is WRONG. How and why would she blame the church for HER not speaking up for herself.

It is so sad how people are judging her and saying all negative things about what and who she is and is doing. Read her book listen to her, after reading and knowing her personally she never bashes bebe and even the assault thing we were not there we don't know what happened so stop judging she has a right to her name I say 17 years and two kids to have earned her name my life has been changed by her book. So before one judges learn and pray for wisdom.
Right it cost me nothing to get my maiden name back and my ex made money an i did not want that either because he will feel that he has a hold on me,I did not have children with him my two sons were of an his four where grown. She kept the last name if anything shall happen with him she will get. Her children carries his last name so she could have changed her name back
If what she is saying is true the reality is you can't blame God for the actions of some mean and/or mean spirited children. I have a child who has done as much dirt as he possibly can. People who got wind of it disassociated themselves from me because of his actions. My wife and I absolutely taught him better. Now is it fair to be held accountable for the actions of a well-taught child who is a free moral agent?
The cost is to change the things that are in your name individually - property etc. Many women do not want to have a different last name than their children in case people thoughtvthey had them out of wedlock
This is the true test - has Bebe made a comment about/against her yet or was she such a saint who maried a devil? Can we not judge this by the love rule? Who is the real believer here? I am a married woman myself b4 any1 attack me here... " The American dream; her insecurities; she was tied of being in the background"? Bebe isn't her problem!

WoW!!! I am listening to this and wish I would have had your problem, ok you lost you I get that, but after you found you at least you still had you home and the time to figure out the rest. Try being hungry, a pile of bills and he he would get a steady job. I appauld your getting out, sorry for your pain, sorry your life went this way, but again if I could trade I would.
This is crazy! No matter who his is she should have told him what she wall feeling inside and hold anything. Church don't teach us to hold things and just pray we have to work and do something too. Sad that she understood it too late!

Why r some of u defensive about her telling her story, I grew up in the church and saw a lot of deceit and toxic behavior from leaders but it was all hush, hush. They caused a lot of people to fall which scripture says can happen. Why should she be discreet to protect Bebe? A lot of church women go through what she did including my own mother. The church needs to do more than memorize scripture people r losing their souls

The bible says you can't serve two masters. Show business and being a Christian (if you're serious) don;t mix. There are many stories like this. The 'world' pulls at you and you wind up neglecting your family and compromising your beliefs. I am not in favor of people speaking out in the media like this neither. I think this should be done in the church. She should be giving advice and telling her story to others there
@mrkeyz33 her children have that last name...they are still connected to her....PLUS...when you get a divorce and you have assets in your "married" name and you change it..it gets sticky. It's a head ache and costly changing your name anyway after 16 years ..Winans or not...duh!
How foolish she was for doing this! By opening up her mouth, it only showed her ignorance, her guilt, and how she deliberately wants to put BeBe on blast. I mean, what about her children...what if they happen to come across this? A LADY shuts her mouth, get out if she must, and move on without slandering her ex. Is she the only one who have been hurt, ignored, and sad in their marriage? NO. The difference here is that most other women don't get 7 figures as a divorce settlement. FOOLISH!
BeBe has not tried to ruin her character but she’s tried to destroy him. That’s okay hopefully she regrets making a horrible decision by trying to ruin his character. He’s still a great man of God!

She sounds clingy to me, because if you are secure in yourself you don't need anyone around, including your husband to praise or approve your worth. The music industry is a tough hard driving job which keeps people away from home. I don't blame Debra but she married the wrong person. Her spouse should have been a nine to five person who is home in the evenings.

You knew aleast one year into your marriage if not before that you had major like and dislikes about BeBe that affected you deeply, yet you chose to ignore them and stayed 16 yrs.Your Choice. Being the spouse of a celebrity, christian or not is very hard and you have to be strong enough to handle it. You don't stay16yrs and then complain about the wrong things.
