I have the LG V20 and I am still convinced it's the best smart phone ever for all it's features and removable battery. You should check it out!

No 90hz screen, no reverse wireless charging, no gorilla glass 6, no fingerprint sensor in screen, Only 4000mah battery. They make good phones but nothing really stands out with them. There's nothing special With their phones except the built in dac I would say, if they even still have the quad dac. Like why would anyone take this over the s10+ that's 100$ less?

@@MrFarre90 90 Hz OLED only exist on OP atm. Reverse wireless charging is not a feature worth paying a premium for imo. gg 6 is still glass, i really dont think there is much of a difference. Front finger print sensor is not really an upgrade unless you keep the rear sensor. "Only" a 4k battery when the one 90 hz OLED phone in the market has 3700 mah. Ok the problem is, there isn't phone that packs ALL the premium features hardware AND software wise. LG imo, is an incredible overall package, both hardware and software. Its just not as pretty. And the name is not as known

It's not a folding phone. Will you people stop calling it that? The display isn't flexing and bending from tablet to phone and back. It is a regular non-folding phone with an optional extra screen accessory.

Axel Espinal but really how useful is said device without a gap when it’s not water or dust resistant at all, very fragile, and worst of all has a very soft plastic screen that even a fingernail can permanently scratch? It’s a neat design on paper, but in real world use it’s just not even close to good enough. None of the flexible display smartphones will hold up in real world use, and will be covered in scratches and looking like its many years old in a matter of weeks. Maybe the flexible display will find a useful home in tablets that are not as prone to as much abuse, but even then they still will have durability issues But as things are at the moment, the folding display smartphone will likely never catch on, other than maybe a few niche novelty phones. They just are way too fragile for a home in mainstream smartphones

This needs a screen on the outside of the 2nd screen for limited phone use and camera use...

Which is a very bad thing on LG's part. It makes the worst value for money for LG phones. They should definitely reduce the price during the year but only like within $100-150 so that the phone's value will still be quite good after 2 years especially since LG gives major OS updates for 2 years.

They are the one who actually innovate unlike apple. Started with with the G5 and then the V20. They're also the first one (IIRC) with triple camera setup in the V40. They embraces the headphone jack by providing the QuadDAC while many others are abandoning it. LG's main weakness is software update. My V30 finally receives Oreo this month.

@@TheConandj Exactly I hate the waiting for update part. By the time these folks release the update for us, the next version of Android is already here!😑. I got impatient with my V30+ and just went to the LG website downloaded the firmware and flashed it. I'm happy though that LG does provide the firmware with the tools and instructions on how to flash.

Wide lens rear finger print scanner and I can name a number of other small software features that they pioneered and was called gimmicky until sammy or apple implemented the same features then they become the next best thing

@@gerwinl.soriano1386it's not wireless charging if you need a wire to charge it, you just put the port in a plate instead of the phone's port..Yes I used it but I don't consider plugging in my phone a hassle, so it's basically a gimmick for me, not even fast though

Zyad48 Samsung fold is difficult technology. Foldable screen is the future. That lg was done by Nintendo more than a decade ago.

@@theplug4981 I know, I'm just saying that for what tech we got _now_ this implementation is already better than the fold's first foray lol. I also don't think foldable phones are really going to catch on that well, the fact of the matter is that they're inherently much more fragile even when they haven't made the mistakes the fold has made, that and their high pricepoint inherent in being a _new_ and difficult technology will lead to "budget options" probably being even more fragile than the flagships. Fact of the matter is with a single screen, non-folding phone, it's got a decent amount of advantages for durability, with a hinge, a fold in the middle of the screen, heavier weight and a plastic screen, foldable phones are going to be fragile, and if you bought one for $2000, really, are you going to take it out with you? Hell would you even let someone else hold something like that? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt this whole "Foldable" thing is going to become that popular.

I think this device is expensive for what it offers also lacks any esthetics and the notch thing is pretty old also the fingerprint sensor in the back is nice but expensive devices offer much better ones implemented in the screen

Nah they sucked for a long time and deserved the criticism. Their phones are expensive and hardware had always been somewhat boring in recent years. Hopefully they are back to their old self again.

@@Elpepe_0245 I cared, I used 2 LG phones before, on the 1st one I never got updates and on the 2nd one I got 2 updates which didn't change anything and I was stuck at the same OS for years on both phones Android 4.1 and 7.0

not really since the point of foldable phones is to have a much larger screen not just to have a better multitasking experience

If the Galaxy fold actually does work then maybe will be able to see how well it actually compares to a dual screen accessory

@@Joloham in my opinion tho, people don't care much about having bigger screens as current size are pleasing enough. It's only beneficial for those constantly watching videos and needs bigger game screen to play with, which i believe the need is not that much. Not too small but realistically, serious gamers aren't that many and there aren't that many who could afford a Galaxy fold. Elimination of the bezels are what i think people would like the most, tho the edges of the phone is debatable cuz it's sensitive to how we grip around the phone.

Never underestimate LG. They've been in the industry for too long.

meh cant really talk for this phone but had enough lgs and mostly they suck and rely on community support. The updating sucks and heavily depends on your version ( some European version dont get updates). The software isnt that good either. Battery life sucks and they are mostly always steps behind competitors.

@@hashwasnthere235 I know I am 7 months late but it definitely can! I am running Citra 3DS Emulator and Drastic DS Emulator on this phone with the dual screen. You need to download first an app that forces apps to use external screen from LG.

I was fixated on buying the S10 5G but I got a recommended RU-vid video from MKBHD about LG Dual Screens then I watched a lot of reviews. I have never regret buying the V50, it is so damn good! I am playing Pokemon X on this phone in 45 FPS, but that issue for me is a Citra problem because it is still in beta.

LG isn’t going to take away the headphone jack, too much of their audience are hardcore audio files so it would just be alienating all of their audience.

I like the jack. I don't have to worry or wait until my headphones are charged. Plug and playboi!!!🕺

Had a V30 almost 2 years and it's a great phone, hasn't slowed down, battery still fine, love the quad DAC audio with good headphones.

@@BLACKHOLE498 Saaaaaame. V30+ is my third LG phone. Only switched to an Xperia for 2 years at one point. But 3 times, upon scouring LG showed up to be the most suitable candidate. To be fair tho, when one of my requirements at all times is to have a microSD card, then all iPhones and wannabe iPhones are ruled out from contention. Really weird trend we have these days of removing headphone jack and removing microSD card. My last one, the G4 allowed me to go 0 to 100% battery in 10 seconds. Instant swapping of batteries. Surprising how none of the makers used this back when they all had removable batteries.

@@s4shrish yes i loved the swappable battery feature and charging dock. I would buy the larger power bear batteries for my G4 and V20. I wish LG would bring that back. But overall amazing phone. The V50 looks like a game changer.

Yep, lew being Lewis, doesn't do any research on the product and just goes in blind and negitively reviews stuff that he doesn't understand. Still hurts me from all the Bluetooth speakers and headphones he reviewed where he said their too quiet when in fact you just hold the next and previous button to change volume.

Still use my V20 and have no reason to switch yet. Love the removable battery. I'm looking the looks of this one as the cameras are all flush. Going to be pricey though. Especially her in Canada. I switched to LG from Samsung and actually enjoy the android experience as I found Samsung had a lot of bloatware.

Im very satisfied with my LG G4. I bought it brand new, replaced the motherboard under the warantee and it works silky smooth for 4 years already. Long live LG!
