Having an absent father and an abusive mother is tough. I was a very very angry child, very defensive & anybody could get it 💯 punching holes in walls. Now I’m healing & getting better, my journey started in 2019, I just turned 26 yesterday. When my father tried to have a convo I heard him out and held him accountable, then he passed away 3 days before my birthday last year. My mama still on the same bs. Sometimes you just gotta move on and do what’s best for you. Can’t keep trying to mend the situation. Mend yourself first.

My father is a true deadbeat, he had a chance to be around when I was younger when my mom opened that door and he decided not to even meet me for the first time. I’m 29 and wouldn’t even recognize that sperm donor so he’s definitely dead to me but I admire kash’s dad’s gusto. As humans we’re always gonna make mistakes but it’s how you try to make up for it, I hope he truly never gives up.

This is sooo good Liddy. I’m 28 and met my dad for the first time 3 years ago .. on his death bed. I think it traumatized me more seeing him like that for the first time. We always talked over the years and kept in touch but due to him being in prison and time it never happened.

Wow I can’t believe this show actually made me cry. Kash was masking her feelings with the laughs, the smoking, the fake kindness but as soon as her mother was brought up and the abuse she experienced from her mothers hatred of her father and her fathers absence the real came out. That was so emotional it made me cry just seeing how much she endured and the hurt she has. She projects her mother’s hate for him onto him as well. He is definitely at fault for choosing his lifestyle and not being in his children’s lives. My husband is in jail now and if it wasn’t for me making sure my children speak to him on the phone when he calls, seeing him on the video calls, and taking them up there for visitation I’m sure my oldest son would hate him too it’s not much he can do on his own to make sure he maintains a connection with his children. Even my oldest only being 6 still will let me know how he’s upset his father isn’t around and I have to reassure him his daddy loves him he made a bad mistake but he’ll be out soon and everything will be better. Now to be on the flip side and be put in her shoes her mother obviously didn’t care to make sure they had that type of bond even with him being gone all those years and obviously expressed her hatred for him which rubbed off on her so she is just full of anger and sadness. This is so sad but I hope they can speak to someone who can help her on her own and eventually sit down and help them have some sort of relationship. But as Liddy said she needs time to heal herself. He’s had the time to reflect on his life and all of his choices. He’s older and is understanding of himself more and seems to be very emotionally intelligent thankfully and seems that he does want to be apart of her life. He lets her speak her true feelings and doesn’t interrupt, he allows her to be herself and doesn’t say anything judgmental, he lets her know he will be there no matter what and that’s exactly what she needs without even knowing it. To us the viewer it’s like yeah duh that’s how he’s supposed to be, but you’d be surprised by just how many parents would be jumping down her throat for that especially while being filmed a lot of peoples egos are just too big and cannot take accountability for anything. He really seems like he wants to have a second chance and I hope eventually they can have that experience together. Liddy is an amazing human being and is so empathetic it’s beautiful to see. Idk how old she is but she is a very emotionally intelligent woman and has the ability to explain what others are trying to communicate but might not have the words for so she was great. I loved this episode so much much love to you beautiful young women continue to grow and find yourselves

Childhood trauma really fucks with you real shit I'm still trying to heal from it as we speak so I understand kash completely she just has to want peace for herself she has to find it and that's letting the past be the past dwelling too much on the past keeps you stuck and its like a never ending cycle of that trauma, I aint no therapist either but I did find help in watching videos on how to heal my childhood self I'm still working on it but I see improvement I think that would help kash way more than a therapist frfr staying and being with yourself first she just needs people that's gonna support her through her journey and she has that she just doesn't see it she can't tell who to trust
