I think the most compelling thing about this book is that SHE’S the author. It shows the power of God to transform even our deepest convictions when he makes us alive in Christ (Eph 2:1-10).

I do not understand why it is being used outside of language, and since you're an English professor, I would love to hear your take. people use gender interchangeably for sex and I do not think that is correct usage. thank you.
