For everyone saying 8 Grammys, really it's 7 Grammys for the record, and an extra Grammy the following year for "Making Michael Jackson's Thriller." The 8th one in 1984 was for E.T. the album. Also I love the belittling of the Bad record next to Thriller. Bad's "several number 1's" is the highest number of #1 singles on an album, only matched 20+ years later thanks to a remix by Katy Perry to get her song ET to the top spot. Bad's 40 million in sales are a little better than being simply considered "not as successful as Thriller."
Michael wasn't obsessed with plastic surgery. He only had a nose job, was extremely suffering from vitiligo, plus he had that horrible fire accident. He was getting real thin over the years too, which was probably due to stress, pressure etc.
+mellodee123 Most likely that he wanted to get his nose corrected from the first time he had rhinoplasty. I know of those. It's still a nose job though. Those other things you listed are not plastic surgery.
Even this announcer has to say certain things to diminish Michael's success. In the 80's she called him "one of the world's greatest entertainers". I believe he was "the world's greatest entertainer". ETC. ETC. And, I don't know why they keep calling Neverland an "amusement park". It wasn't. It was an enormous, majestic estate that included several rides. Then there was the petting zoo, the manmade lake, tennis courts, trains, beautiful mountains and biking trails, etc. And, that's just the outside.
Briella Dorsey They did not find child porn, but they found child erotica, which he kept separate from his library. You have to be stupid to keep child porn in your possession.
mellodee123 were in my comment did i say anything about him looking like he did when he was little i just said that sure things may have changed with his facial features but i dont think he went overboard
mellodee123 do you have proof of these 6 alleged nose jobs, lip tattoos ,eyeliner and hairline tattoos? were you there when he was getting those procedures done or am i mistaken because last time i checked Michael wore wigs ya your sarcastic little ass is right he wasn't obsessed and he barely had anything done aging and vitiligo contributed to his appearance changing but thats about it
***** read autopsy on the eyeliner, and lips, etc. Katherine confirmed the nose jobs. She said he was embarrassed that's why he lied. But you can blame it all in his vitiligo and lupus. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The Gen Y and Z comments on this video are disgusting. I lived through the whole 80's as a teen and new Michael a whole lot better than your Google-for-info lives. Yes, you are right, Michael did (NOT) have the amount of plastic surgery as what was reported, but he was obsessed with his self-image which was brought on by acne. In Moonwalker (his 1988 auto biography) he stated that he had only two nose alterations when it was clear that his second was done by the time Thriller was released in 1982. Who the F cares how many nose jobs he had when it was his own life and his own personal battle with Body Dysmorphia, but comments that are floating around YT that have been taken from that 1988 AB to say what he had and didn't have done by the time that he died in 2009 by mainly the Gen Z population make my blood boil (You will NEVER know the real MJ as you were never there to live it as it happened).
You can't really say "you will never know mj" okay some of us were there only in 00s BUT still we were there when he died and did 2006 concert.. we have google yes, youtube, fan accounts. We may never know the feeling of him dropping new music alive, and running to see him but you really underrate the love for someone. If we love mj we will find every little tiny detail
Why cant we, gen z, love michael too? Sure, i didn't live in the 80s but i doubt you were one of his close friends either.. if anything its good that (positive) things are on the internet about mj because then his music can continue to go down the generations. I (kinda) get what your trying to say, and yes there is a lot of negative stuff about mj too, but i never believed it. I bet there is much as much people in your generation as mine who dont think positively of mj, which is unfortunate. But it all just depends on the person... the a whole stinkin' generation.
Great video guys! Except you forgot one thing; Michael actually wasn't obsessed with plastic surgery. As a matter of fact, he only had about 2-5 throughout his entire life. Everything else was accurate! ;)
Also HIStory is the most-selling double album of all time, Blood on the Dance Floor is the most-selling remix album of all time, Invincible was the best R&B-Pop album of 2001 even though its promotion campaign had stopped after one single and its music video, because Sony was trying to fuck Michael over and Michael tried to stopped that by raising his voice to those people and by talking shit to their face AND behind their back on public. Sony had tried same thing on other artists, too.
I hate when they say his Album Bad wasn't as successful..I was living in Europe at the time and the anticipation of that Album was enormous. I alos Michael for the first time in Europe..and I grew up in the States and saw the outpouring of Love for MJ..It seemed like the whole town was at the Bad concert back July 88 when I saw him Live. He gave everything..Michael was one of the reason I went into Showbusiness. I come from Generation X Prince and MJ very inspiriational.
Nice video about Michael Jackson of The Jacksons. Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad are my favorite Michael albums. I love Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean music videos. My favorite Jacksons albums are The Jacksons(this album has Enjoy Yourself song), Destiny, Triumph, Victory. Michael Jackson(RIP), Florence Ballard of The Supremes(RIP), Vanity(RIP), Luther Vandross(RIP), Beyonce Knowles, Cameo, Zapp(RIP Roger Troutman), James Taylor of Kool And The Gang, The Gap Band, Midnight Star, Bell Biv Devoe are my favorite black music singers.
Michael Jackson/ Paul Mccartney :"their friendship ended when Michael acquires the publishing rights to most of the Beatles songs." Nothing is less certain. I heard that the Beatles singer had supported Michael during his trial or trials.
the rights are going back anyway as the 32 year right to ownership is ending as he will will able to regain owner ship of every thing made in 1962 in 2018 and songs from 1970 in 2026 as is stated by the US Copyright Act of 1976
@0:27. Does anyone know where this black & white footage is from? Seems rare. I've only seen small muted clips of this in countless documentaries and can't place it.
I agree w you, honestly. I've always loved Michael but he was his most gorgeous from Thriller 84-88 Dirty Diana eras. Hes always a great performer but his looks derailed badly after 91 or so. Sad but true. And anyone coming to curse and spit at me needs to just back the fuck off. I can have a different opinion than you about things wo you attacking and being nasty to me over it. Michael would be ashamed of how you "fans" act sometimes. I've been a moonwalker since the 80s so dont be hateful. I found him most attractive at those times but he was always a music god despite his looks.
Should have ended it in 1995, HIStory is the best selling 2 disc album of all time and his world tour was the most succesfull of all time with every single concert completely sold out
Iggy He didn't have any "Chin implants".. He just had the shallow cleft deepened once is all. He didn't like the result either, the surgeon talked him into it.
I think he was the coolest looking guy ever in the 80s, but after he had 124 surgeries( estimate), he ended up looking like a white old lady. I still love Mike, but truth is he made some dumb decisions.
