Dear Pastor and Sister Baker than you for bring to light th history of the Black Adventist Church, it will not save us but, in all our learning we are to get understanding, there is a time and place for everything and we parish for lack of knowledge.
Oh what a wonderful MESSAGE we have! What a rich legacy Pastor William Foy has left behind. Can the LORD pick them or what? Thank so much for this presentation. ..
William Foy was given the understanding in his 2nd vision in 1842 that the 6th Trumpet had NOT ceased sounding yet. The pioneer at the time placed the end of 6th trumpet at August 11, 1840. But at that time only the 2nd Woe came at an end. We should really study William Foys visions in connection with the writings of Ellen G White.
Great story, but how does one make sense out of his vision of Hell? If the bible teaches that the wages of sin is death, why does it appear as if in the vision he is looking on a Hell as a place of eternal torment? Was it only a metaphor?
