There are - in this life of mine at least - only very few occasions when I feel I'm lucky - in a way that I actually feel kinda like blessed to have experiences that elevate. I remember the exact event that pushed me forward on the path of seeking, when I said "that's it, I had enough of meaningless and futile things, I need to discover what lies underneath"... but man I feel lucky to came across Mingyur Rinpoche. The genuine approach and the direct explanations made lots of thing just click together, and the main reason was for me to make huge steps is that Rinpoche's calm and modest way of transmitting, made the whole process of understanding stress-free. I can't say thank you enough times - so as a thanks I keep on exploring. 🙏

A large gentle face, like a big maroon balloon peering out, a big moon face, like the face of maybe the sun, if there was a face stretched across the surface of the sun, a face like a vast flexible happy blanket. Like a slab of happy compassionate cheese. Yes a big moon face and looking out through it is the vast empty wisdom space. :-) thank you infinite happy moon face.

A young man had heard of this great teacher and wanted to study with him, he sought him out and said “Lama I wish to study with you, what must I do to become enlightened?” The lama replied “You must follow the teachings of Lord Buddha and meditate diligently as much as you are able.” “And if I do that Lama how long will it take until I become enlightened.” “If you work hard you should be able to manage it in ten years” “And if I work twice as hard as all your other students, how long will it take me Lama?” “In that case it will take you twenty years” “And if I work day and night as well as twice as hard as all the others, how long will it take then Lama?” “Well in that case it will take at least forty years.” “I’m sorry Lama I just don’t understand. Each time I say I am going to work harder you double the time it will take?” “The answer is very simple, if you keep one eye on the horizon you will only have one eye with which to follow the path!”
