I get it that you probably have faith and that's ok, but pushing the idea as a statement is not as respectful to diversity. I don't intent to sound like the bad guy here but just like your faith should be respected the possibility of other people's points of view should be respected too, so imo it would be better to add a note considering the possibility of someone else to have different beliefs, even something subtle like a "I belive she IS".

One of the reasons why the death of her sister had such an important impact is because her dad told her about it when she had just woke up. Our brain is very receptive in the morning when we wake up and when we go to sleep at night, because of the relaxed state of the delta waves. That’s why it is important to control what your mind consumes in the morning. Like for example checking out your phone and reading the news can trigger stress and anxiety for the rest of your day. So I guess when she heard about her sister it triggered a traumatic stress for the rest of her life.

I watched this video 3 weeks ago after a friend posted it on Facebook. I instantly went to Kirstin's web site and booked a complimentary session at her office in Seattle. While at the session I liked what I heard and decided I had the time and money and wanted to do a full session that same day. Holy cow. Over the last 9 months I have done a lot of self development in various ways and methods. THIS is the SINGLE most IMPACTFUL thing I have done. I haven't had a chance to email Kristin but I really need to. We did a one time session and she didn't pressure me to come back a bunch she just said see how you feel and call me in a couple weeks if you want to. Sometimes people just need one session. I have been SO productive in my work and I feel differently and act differently now about a personal situation I have had going on. I swear to you - she is PHENOMENAL and this stuff works. I'd done hypno for small things in my past (over the last 10 years) and this was completely different. I also listen to the recording she sent me home with every 3 or so days because I love it. Her language, what she says, her examples, everything is just amazing to me. I want to write some of the words she uses on my mirror in the bathroom- they are that good. I find myself saying "Damn she is good!" and "I love this woman" as I listen to her work. She is so natural and doesn't use scripts and I didn't feel weird or uncomfortable at all. Kristin and her work is literally a gift from God. If you have any opportunity to see her in Seattle at her office, I am sure it will change your life. I am amazed at the results and she has made a significant difference in my life and it was immediate. I definitely want to go back and tackle other things I want to improve in my life.

I've always wondered if hypnotherapy might help me get past wishing I could have saved them. Thank you for your feedback, it's nice to hear of someone commenting on her work. I wish I could come to Seattle. God bless her and her courage to share her story. Thank you for sharing yours.

Thank you for sharing your testimony of having worked with her! I believe you when you said “her work is literally a gift from God,” because she wouldn’t have gone through all she did, if God didn’t intend to use her for this work to give back. I believe this was her destiny & the predetermined path for her life. So awesome you got to experience it 1st hand.

We are made up of energy, and energy can neither be created nor destroyed. This is beautiful. I know my dad is still with me. He has been gone now for 13 years, but I have during the course of these years, felt his presence so clearly, that it has brought me great joy; a feeling that I cannot recreate in myself. I can remember it, and feel grateful for it, but I cannot create joy in myself. That is a gift, from a superior power that has allowed my dad to interact with me on very special occasions when I have needed help. Thank you Heavenly Father. Thank you Kristin for sharing this experience with us. There is power in words, for by them creation came into existence, and I am excited to learn more about this as I continue on in my life, here and after here. : ) I am grateful for that doctor who was able to turn the key who helped you be okay. I am happy I listened to this talk.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Recently, I've also found the power and magic of words we tell to ourselves and to others. Self-love and self-care is something that we need, and caring self-talk is the key to self-love, and rising up our energy. We humans are so vulnerable and not all the time we have somebody to take care of ourselves, and look after us, so the best way is to learn how to take care of yourself, be like a caring "parent" and friend to yourself. One way is to be kind with yourself. Outward expression of power of words regards other humans and our close ones -we can give love and care, and help others by being careful what words we use, cause words have power over people. We can choose how to use this power...

Something very similar to Kristin’s experience happened to me when I was 26 years old. I started experiencing blinding headaches, convulsive seizures that were not epileptic, and an inability to walk without falling. After all the tests, the doctors were not able to come up with a diagnosis other than psychosomatic disorder. They never gave me the term conversion disorder, but I find this very useful. Even now, at age 51, I still have occasional tremors, and I have resigned myself to them being a factor of stress and exhaustion. However, I’m going to look into conversion disorder and hypnotherapy. Thank you, Kristin.

Beautiful! I cried light tears of joy and happiness and healing! I used mind-body technique on myself. I healed the pain from a spinal injury, and I should not have. The very first words in Dr. Sarno‘s book stated that First! you go to the doctor get x-rays, MRI, tests, whatever needs to be done, and then with your doctors approval, read this book. But I already knew what an MRI would tell me because I had an x-ray, and things were not good, so by changing my thoughts and believing my thoughts and changing a few basic things in my life such as stopping all pain medication, no more iceing my back, I didn’t take a shower to make my back feel better. I just told myself I was fine and I lived like that completely pain free for about five years. Until a small accident, and what was already broken got worse, much worse. And then I had no choice. Had I followed Dr. Sarno’s direction and had the spinal surgery right away. The surgery itself would’ve been minimal but because I waited and my spine got worse it became a major surgery and then I had to get another one five years later which is routine. I’m telling you this, because Hypnosis and mind-body work absolutely cure the pain, even when the physical body is broken. My surgeons told me that I was a walking medical miracle and that there is no way in the world that I should have been able to walk or squat down and tie my shoe. Now I’m 55, my second surgery was two years ago, 2022 , and I’m running around doing what I want. Having fun, playing frisbee, carrying things that are not too heavy! 🧨

@@amaudiobooksmoz A professional who is qualified to deal with trauma and has a track record to getting great results is the key. I saw that Dr. Connelly founder of Rapid Resolution Therapy, which uses hypnotherapy, had tons of video testimonials from satisfied clients. I had actually been to a psychoanalyst myself and found it unhelpful causing an increase in distress/symptoms. So whether someone pursues EMDR, hypnotherapy, Rapid Resolution Theray, etc. I’d recommend they deal with someone who is well trained, experienced and comfortable at resolving trauma as quickly and painlessly as possible :)

I thank you Kristin Rivas for sharing your story openly, presented in a very inspiring way. My own life-experience suggests many similar insights and more, and I think it is very important to take it seriously. We all 'inflict' ideas and concept on each other and we all handle these things differently. Sometimes the message come from a place of manipulation, compulsion or greed... ... sometimes from wanting to help and share. Sometimes it plays out really well, sometimes it's devastating, and yet again, sometimes it merely incurs food for thought. But to avoid the common scenario today, where the 'which is which' is anybody's guess and outcome surprises us more often than is really comfortable, we need a lot more knowledge in these areas. I think the thing we need to understand better is how very different we actually are. How profound the difference really is between communication done both compatibly and in synchronicity as opposed to randomly and lacking in adaption to the intended receiver. Not to forget, we need to realize how important it is to be responsible about this, since it can also easily become a tool for those with less of an honest agenda. But most of all I think I would like to see us all learn early in our life, what am I and how do I make the best of this.

kind words are necessary and you have to mean it as well, may be you can say less bad word even though you are very angry that might save the day from disaster, so words are that powerful, like when you say kind words and mean it, it is powerful and when you are angry and say less mean words that saves you from disaster, words are that powerful. And also there is again, action speaks louder than words. Words are powerful to certain level or certain situation.

In 1992 I almost pass away because of my healthy brain in a very sick body that couldn't work together. Stress will kill you, the problem is, that YOU don't know when. The killing can take years, Stress is like the pages of a book one after another with a different chapter. Just be careful at work, in your family life and with everything that goes around. Get to know your body, The first symptom is always how well or how bad you REST in your sleep.

In my experience being a genuine person is step one then just having the question is good enough. Somehow through a person, a movie, a Ted talk or just a bird flying by you get the answer. Sooner or later

I agree with you. I was a long time religious Christian. When my image was totally offset by my sinfulness, I started to get terrible nightmares. I suffered from guilt and sin till I heard the gospel message from pastor Ook Soo Park. By the revelation of Holy Sprit while reading his book, I realized all my sins were actually gone and do not exist anymore by the grace of Jesus blood 2000 years ago. I still gets nightmares sometimes, not as bad as before, but I have a strength to fight back saying, "hym, my sins do not exist anymore.". This gospel will free hundreds of people who are suffering from sin and guilt, especially veterans. They are suffering in silence, but once they know their sins do not exist anymore, since Jesus washed them away already, they will have peace.

Your Talk is/was Brilliant, you taught me, why I have Neuropathic Pain after abuse in place I thought I was safe? A Medical Surgery. Gratitude - Can I be made NP pain free with Hypnotism? If I can find one in a State not well served due to distance! In Your Talk on Stage, to speak of profound grief, has no suitable ‘Word’ which I think gives fair justice to Your kind of bravery✨ ✨💗🌹

Hi Kristin, I'm really glad that you recovered from such a miserable agony and mental trauma. Its like to choose between life & death. You not only recovered completely but also thought to share your experiences with everyone. Indeed, you delivered it so well. Seemed like there was no preparation; it all came from within. Though, I know you would have prepared hard for this delivery. God bless you dear Sister, Anupam

Thank you Kristin for sharing your story. There is so much valuable information in here for people. So wonderful you found Dr Jon. I didn't end up in a wheel chair, but lots of psychosomatic problems from grief, and it took me years, and much analyzing to arrive at the same understanding. We do believe our memories as if they are reality now and this causes us to circle through intense emotions, which can be so overwhelming they're held in the body. Don't worry about the naysayers - they're not awake yet. Let's hope their jolt into waking up isn't as painful as yours. I'm writing a book, and with your permission I'd love to share your story in that book. :-) Keep shining your light girl - and yes, I believe what is true is your sisters love and it's still with you.

@@seanstone9523- it's not about weakness or belief; it's physiological response. Not believing in memories is like saying you don't believe in air because you can't see it.

Absolutely incredible 👏🏼 and the bravery to speak in front that crowd 👐🏼. I have a speech impediment and public speaking is a serious fear of mine. I used to read the paragraph in the textbook, over and over and over again so by the time it was my turn to read I basically had the paragraph memorized. If I did it that way I didn't stumble or stutter as much. If I read it as new words, I would stumble over every word, so bad that sometimes I'd be so stuck words wouldn't even come out. I'd turn beet red with my mouth wide open trying to push the word out. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. Anyways great presentation & much respect to your courage.
