Word. Exactly what I say when someone compliments my hair and say they wish they had curly hair. NO YOU DO NOT I can do the exact same thing two wash days in a row and I have no idea what my hair is gonna end up looking like. I have a ton of scarves hanging in my bathroom cause they are on deck as my backup.
The amount of effort it takes for my curls to not resemble the business end of a mop is insane, like to any straight haired people who want curly hair, no you don't just count your blessings
I don't understand why the compliment can't just be accepted, without downing curly hair/your own hair. I hope that one day, some of you will learn to accept yourself the way you are.
Same. Curly girl here. I started doing keratin treatments in my hair about 10 years ago and I've never looked back! This video is a good reminder of how much freakin' product it takes to not have poodle hair! 😂
@@lih1352naturally curly/wavy hair is frizzy and undefined without styling it, no one has nice curls without styling and that's fine! I'm a curly girl and don't straighten my hair often but I understand why you do it is very high maintenance lol
100% agree. I often wonder when I watch these videos, and what about the day after and the next day - what do you do then to keep the curls??? When I was younger, I used to just wet my hair in the shower and towel dry it and go to work with with semi wet hair.
@@livxqmokay, delusional, you do know that there are many different types of curls and textures, and just because she doesn’t have the tightest curls EVER doesn’t mean that you get to redefine what curly hair is or isn’t….we’re set without a serving of your gaslighting 😂😂😂😂😂 I bet you’re also the type to argue about the definition of “thin, rich, blah blah blah” as well, how boring.
@@donnadavenport5503 What happens to me, when I flip is that the nice part you worked on kinda disappears, and the weight messes up your curls, and just throws the styling that you worked hard on off.
Had straight hair my whole life and then when I had my kid at age 38 I got a wave and then now I'm 63 and I got a significant wave! Having fun with it! Our hair texture can change quite a lot over our lifetime. Went from 1A to 2C texture. Appreciate the information about how to work with my hair texture the way it is now.😊
Exactly the same , I had actual little ringlets grown in at my hairline after my pregnancy. I now have a definite wave, and with product a curl...it's wild how that works and I also wonder how and why?? I need scientific answers LOL 😆 .
@@fabricofdreams.Yes! You can find an illustration of the hair types in a hair texture classification chart on Google under "images." It illustrates everything from pin straight to tight curly. Goes from 1A to 4C. 😊
girl I literally can’t even spray watered down detangler in my hair without it looking like a whole pot of grease. 6 products would make it suitable to fry eggs, bacon, and potatoes on my head for breakfast when I wake up
I have natural curly hair. I’m 40, I’ve never used these many products, and I still get the same results with just mousse and scrunching my hair or blow drying it. Don’t waste your money on a ton of products and keep it simple, your curls will still look great!
Same! I wash my hair and let it dry. O product and it looks just like the video. It's literally wash & dry & the curls pop lol. 😂 You don't need to go high maintenance to have beautiful curls.
Me 2🎉 I have NEVER EVER had 2 use so much crap on my natural curls, ONLY 1 product if I choose when I am going out somewhere, otherwise it's maintained properly with pretty much zero effort n NO products 🤟💯🥳 No wonder why her hair probably h8's her, ... It's coz it's drowning in so many toxin's 💯 so I am sorry friend, that's not Natural 4 Ur Natural Curl's 🎯😮😢✅☮️ BTW 😁 I am 51 n I Love 💕 My beautiful 😍 Natural Curly Hair 🤟🔥🏆🪶🪄😇🥂🦚🌺
Three different leave ins is not necessary, and if your hair is on the thinner side just choose gel or mousse not both cuz it will be super crunchy. Leave in conditioner, gel or mouse and a lightweight oil to scrunch out the crunch is all you need.
Sometimes it’s just so nice having straight hair and NOT having to worry about a 30-60 minute routine to get your curls looking beautiful! My hair was straight until I was 13 then one day I had CURLS! I have so much hair and it’s so dang curly. Now I have smaller curls and a lot more of them. When I first got curls they were big beautiful and bouncy. Now I have little corkscrew curls and a TON of frizz!! It’s been a long process with them but I’m in my 30s now and finally loving them.
Straight hair really is super easy. I have a lot of hair too but it's really straight with the slightest wave pattern towards the ends. 99% of the time, I don't do anything to my hair outside of shampoo and conditioning and it looks fine. BUT it gets really boring. I can't get curls this gorgeous no matter what I do. Pros and cons I guess.
@@shivangi1307 so very true. Scrunching was really starting to hit us hard in the early 2000s and I wanted my friends to do my hair. Once they did it’s like it never went back. My daughter has very straight hair with the tiniest hint of wave in the back and has said her whole life she didn’t want curly hair. Now she’s 15 and praying her hair curls one day like mine lol. It’s so hard to keep any type of curl/wave in her hair no matter what we try using. I see your point fully.
Its great to know im not the only one who found out late! I found out at 12 years old that i had curly hair and i am still working to get it nice after 7 years… im still learning to handle it and love it without wanting to shave it every day😭
I’m from Russia and we actually have a lot of girls with low porosity hair, so - 1) don’t use any “leave-in” as it will weight down your hair; 2) use a foam enhancing the curls 3) use a STRONG hold gel. About washing - use a shampoo that fits your scalp type and use a “light” conditioner (the thick ones are for high porosity) without any oils in it so it won’t weight down your hair. You may also try applying protein serums to enhance the waves, use foam+another foam, so have fun!
Some Tips: when you brush your hair, don’t brush down, brush out at about a 90° angle because you’ll get more volume that way. If you brush down you’re pulling your curls down, if you brush out it will give your curls more bounce. Also don’t put any products on the top of your scalp because that will weigh the curls down at the roots, therefore giving you less definition/volume on the top of your head.
@@AndACTIONVR Well, it’s for most curly hair. I’ve gotten those tips from real hairstylists, and they seem to work well for my hair and many other curly hair I’ve seen. However, if it’s not working on your hair, than maybe your using products that can still way down your curls. Having lots of layers in your hair will also really help give more volume. If none of this works then it just maybe your curly hair specifically that just doesn’t work for this type of stuff. P.S I would really recommend you use the denman brush if you don’t have it. It’s really great for giving nice curls.
@@Simplymakeup0406 no it is NOT for most curly hair... what you actually mean is curly hair of a Silky or Even Wiry Texture, under the LOIS hair texture system. There are 2 continents full of people with curly hair that this will not work for. *NEWSFLASH* as well. The Denman brush gives 'nice curls' as you say.. to silky or wiry textures and not cottony or spongy textures. The traditional Denman brush (and I used to have many before I threw them out) only makes my hair frizzy and shrunken instead of the defined ringlets that I love. so PLEASE be informed about what you say before you say anything. Not everyone comes from your world view or has the same texture as YOU and your 'type' of hair stylists that you claim to know.
She’s using redken 5% and 7% leave in conditioners, eco gel, ouai leave in conditioner and the mousse is by function of beauty zero gravity styling mousse for wavy hair anddddd olaplex bonding oil
The best products are the shea moisture Manuka honey line! My hair is normally so dry and so brittle that I can't even get a brush or my fingers through my hair unless I have conditioner in it they're shampoo leaves my hair so soft I wouldn't even have to use conditioner but and I use the hair mask oil and the quidad call stuff is amazing as well. And the grow oil in the white bottle they also have one in the yellow that you can add to your shampoo. I love them I'm sorry it's called grow wild hair oil
This looks absolutely gorgeous and I do have been thinking that my hair might actually be curly/definitely wavy and just neglected but boy I don't want a routine this long my current one suits me just fine 😭
My 24-year-old has hair down to her but curly gorgeous just like yours and she hates it. Oh my God what I have to go through when she straightens her hair out to help her, but I always tell her be thankful that you have that because when you get older and you start losing hair, you’re gonna wish you had your hair.❤
@@blehblehblehdraculaway too many!! Take it from someone with long, healthy, super curly hair, I can tell you she wastes tons of money on hair products... Either that or she gets them free so she shows them just to sell more. Most days I don't need more than small amounts two products... Leave-in conditioner to keep it soft and mousse for fullness... and maybe on special occasions the smallest amount of gel to hold it all in place.
@@Sun-and-lixxexactly there’s a bunch of bad hair days, and some good hair days. It’s easy to only show off the good hair days and throw it in a bun the other days😩
@@Sun-and-lixxAnd the endless trial and error to finally find the right products for your hair until your hair divers never mind I don’t like these products anymore lol
Ok question Do u have to diffuse your hair becuas i have curly hair and i dont own a diffuser so i dont get why people with curly hair use one So can some one please explain the purpose alssooooo i absolutely love your natural hair
It helps u dry your hair without causing frizz as opposed to a normal dryer You can either buy the extension and put it on your dryer Or use a strainer with it (u can find videos online on how to do so)
I totally wish I could do something similar to this with my wavy hair. My hair gets so greasy so quickly with any product in it, and I haven't been able to find products that don't weigh my hair down.
It's insane how many products she uses for just curls. Very sad where some people are right now with their life. Don't fall for it. Tip: Nigari salt fisolvrd in water not only acts like a mousse but also prevents and reverses gray hair. We're welcome!💃
