Paulownia is a fast-growing deciduous tree that can reach heights of 20-30 meters, blooming with clusters of fragrant purple or white flowers in April.
Originally from China, it has now been introduced for cultivation on every continent.
It matures for timber use within 5-6 years, primarily used for its wood.
The wood is of high quality, being lightweight and resilient, with strong moisture resistance and thermal insulation properties.
It is acid-resistant, rot-resistant, has good sound conduction, does not warp or crack, is not susceptible to insect damage, does not easily delaminate, has a beautiful grain, takes paint and stain well, is easy to work with, and is suitable for carving.
Due to these properties, it is widely used in agriculture and industry, suitable for making plywood, musical instruments, models, and more.
